Hello! We are taking our two year old triplets to WDW in October. We already have airfare booked, but nothing else, yet. We are there 10/19 to 10/29 and have a wedding on disney property 10/26.

We would like to stay at the All Star Movies because they absolutely LOVE Toy Story. Is this a good resort with three toddlers? What are the chances of getting into the Toy Story building?? When I call to make the reservation, what should I request besides the Toy Story building (floor, view, ect)? How close is Toy Story to food court, pool, and buses?

We are taking Grandma with to help. I think the best thing is to get two adjoining rooms... that way the little ones can go to sleep and adults stay up and we have a little privacy from my mom too. I looked into the villas at other resorts, but two adjoining rooms at ASM seems less expensive than the villas, etc. Budget is very important for us! LOL. Plus, they would love the idea of Buzz and Woody right outside!! Are the rooms themed Toy Story also??

Any advice on ASM resort with three toddlers and answers to above is appreciated!!! I'll be posting more questions about traveling with them as we go!

Thanks in advance!

We just got back from WDW/US/IOA with our 2 yo triplet girls and our 10yo daugther. We had a blast! We chose to rent a Villa 2 miles away in Rolling Hills. It was 6bd 4bath for 5 nights it was 599! It was great had a nice screened in pool and plenty of room for us all to spread out! We took our Nanny with us and still had two rooms no one used. I found a special on the house that's why I ended up with such a large property. The wal-mart was just up 192 and we bought food for the nanny to fix lunches and suppers for the girls while we (me and dh) learned to love our AP for US/IOA. July 4th we left the house and moved into PBH at US/IOA for two nights. I called ahead and got two connecting rooms one for the triplets and one for the nanny and 10yo. The "girls" rooms had bedrails and I pulled out the phones and alarm clocks and locked the bathroom doors and brought along my monitors and this was "their" room! The Nanny's room had a balcony and it worked out lovely. Unfortunely, the nearest King room was 5 doors down;) . I know it was a tough break but we only sleep in twice :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc . It was great! The kids did wonderfully having there own room. We'd take them to the pool for a bit then they nap from 1-3 so they were able to lay down and have plenty of space to play when they were up not to mention lowes gave them (actually every room I booked) milk and cookies. Back to your question instead of my trip report. I would'nt do it with my trio. They are on a great schedule and I wanted to keep them on and I managed to do just that. They were not cranky and would get up and run around the house for a couple of hours and be sooo tired. Which we don't get out much as me and dh work full-time. I stay home with them on the weekends and if we do get out it's a car ride uptown and thur a drivethru to get lunch and back home. They don't frequent wal-mart and such.:bounce: If I were you and granny was coming I'd do two connecting rooms with granny and the kids and then mom and dad get a room. I have heard that the AS rooms are quiet small and by the time you buy food for everyone at the food-courts and some of those $3 cokes and juices you'll wish you had a villa. JMHO, we are planning to go back and do the villa again spilt with a hotel stay. I enjoyed the pampering for two days as a treat and major down time with dh. I'm sure you can totally relate. My friend Karri took her triplets to WDW last Dec with grandmother and dh and stayed at the CR, but her dh's work comped them a suite there and she said it was small and the kids slepted on the floor and she did'nt want to do that again as it was hard to get naps in. If you are totally on a budget I'd atleast get two rooms and have them their room period. During naps grandmother could hang out in "your room" and after there down for the night could ease in to there room and hang out with them in the a.m. till you guys got up. Don't forget your monitors I really am glad we brought ours. Hope this helps you some. Have a wonderful trip.

You might also check the DVC board here on the DIS. There is a board with points to trade or rent. You might be able to get a good deal and rent points from a member. You could have a 2 bedroom plus living room unit. They also have a full kitchen and washer and dryer in the unit. Points generally go around $10 each.

The toy story building is adorable. I've never stayed there but we just got back from CBR. We visited ASMO while we were there and I had fun with the toy story characters. If your kids are fans they will flip when they see the size of these guys. I don't think the rooms are toy story themed but I'm sure others can help you out there. It is very convenient to the food court and we feel that the All stars have the best food court. Really nice choices. I would seriously consider this option especially since you'll have help with the children. Good luck deciding.

When you make your reservation, make your requests in order of importance. For example, tell the cast member you want to be in the Toy Story building, you want connecting rooms (and explain why) and then whatever other preference you have. You can also fax the resort your requests 3-5 days before you get there as peace of mind for yourself, then when you check in make the requests again. I know they cannot guarantee anything, but if you explain that you're traveling with triplets and three adults and need the connecting rooms, I'm sure they will make every effort to meet your requests.

As far as the rooms being themed on the inside, I really don't remember. We stayed at All Star Music in 1996, but that feels like ages ago to me! Hopefully someone else will be able to help you out.

You can check out www.wdwig.com for pictures of the resorts. There may be pics of the rooms, and there are DEFINITELY pics of the resorts on this site!

Have a great trip!!! It sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun with your little ones!
