Take Small Children By The Hand....a Sept Trip Report (Baby pics-Page 40)

HI Meghan! We just got back so I am trying to battle my Disney depression by trying to catch up with all of my DIS reading. Your CP breakfast post made me miss the Mickey waffles even more. Waffles at home just don't taste the same.

Bummer that the fairies weren't as playful. Our visit last year was so funny, they were joking and kidding around a ton. This time around, I have to agree that they were a bit more toned down. However, since our little girl is still pretty young that could have been the reason too. We saw the same Vidia that you guys saw. I hope they keep Mickey and Minnie's country houses. They are so cute and it would be a shame to never see them again. I hope they get relocated.

We still enjoyed the fairies, just not as much as last time. They are all so beautiful! I like Mickey & Minnie's houses, but I must admit, I don't know if I'll miss them that much.

We left our room around 1:45pm and a MK bus came around 1:53pm. Once again, those afternoon love bugs were out in full force! When we got to MK, we headed straight to Aloha Isle...Dole Whip time!!! Tony and I each had a regular dole whip and Madison had vanilla.

After our delicious snack we went on the Magic Carpets (5-10 min wait) and then headed into the Tiki Room. I still love the original, but it's a nice place to sit and cool off. We went to ride Pirates next and it was only a 10 min wait. This ride will never get old. It's one of my favs.

Once we were off of Pirates, we noticed that the afternoon parade had finished and it was absolute craziness walking through Frontierland. I texted Kristen to let her know we were over there. We grabbed FP's for BTMRR for Maddie and Tony and they then went to ride standby (20 min). I got in the Splash standby line (30 min) but quickly got out and grabbed a FP instead. Kristen texted me and asked if I wanted to ride Splash with them...yes!! I met up with them and rode Splash with Kristen, her friend Tracy and Tracy's daughter Hailey. They even gave me one of their FP's....so sweet. I think Kristen and I chatted throughout the entire ride!! It was so much fun.

After we got off the ride, Tony and Madison met back up with us and we said good-bye to Kristen and her crew. We were getting pretty hungry so we went to Pecos Bill's. Tony had the 1/3 lb angus cheeseburger w/fries and carrot cake; I had the bbq pork sandwich w/fries and chocolate cake; Madison had the kids turkey sandwich w/fries and a cookie. Everything was really yummy.

After we finished dinner, we went to use our BTMRR and Splash FP's (around 5pm). I got absolutely drenched and it wasn't from the big drop. Yuck! We met back up and walked through Frontierland. Madison hadn't seen the Hall of Presidents before so we rushed in and made it just in time. She wasn't impressed. Oh well! Afterwards we went to the Haunted Mansion (15 min wait). We went through Fantasyland on our way to Tomorrowland.

Once in Tomorrowland, we grabbed FP's for Buzz (7:15-8:15pm) and then went to the Laugh Floor. Tony and I both texted jokes and his got used!!! They must really like his jokes because they always get picked. Tony and Maddie used one of their FP's for Space Mtn (around 7:05pm) while I caught up in my trip journal. I was starting to get super excited for Wishes!!! It was our only chance to see it and afterwards was the MSEP.

When they got off Space, it was close to 7:30pm. We needed to find somewhere to watch Wishes. The hub was definately filling up fast and we ended up sitting smack dab in front of the Castle.

I found Kristen and her crew and we chatted for awhile. Madison and Hailey exchanged addresses and phone numbers...so cute! It was getting close to starting time, so we went back to find Tony and settled in.

Wishes was fantastic as usual, even though we couldn't see all of the fireworks behind the Castle. When Wishes ended, we moved over to the curb to get a spot for the parade. I'm pretty sure I've seen the MSEP before, but I was little. Before the parade started, we bought Madison a light up toy ($7). The parade was great except for the pushy kids behind us. We were sitting on the ground and they kept leaning over top of us. I gently kept moving their arms off of our heads and shoulders, but they didn't speak English.

After the parade ended, it started to sprinkle so we went to the Laugh Floor again. Guess what..Tony's joke got used AGAIN!! After the show we jogged over to Buzz to use our FP's (a little after 10pm). I got a super high score, but I don't remember what it was. It was raining a bit after we got off the ride, so we went back to the Laugh Floor! This time, Tony got put on the screen while everyone was coming into the room (his caption was that he loves attention), BOTH our jokes got used AND the monster at the end talked to Madison!!! It was a great show. Make sure you sit by those lamps if you want to be on the screen.

Tony & Madison went to use their last Space FP's and I just hung out (around 11pm).....it was now EMH from 10pm-1am.

We still wanted to ride the Peoplemover (it was having issues earlier) and then hit up some other stuff. After Space, we rode the Peoplemover and I didn't care for the new spiel. Oh well! We then walked over to Adventureland. We rode the Jungle Cruise (so cool at night!), Magic Carpets and Pirates with no wait at any ride. After Pirates we walked to Frontierland. Madison had been thinking about trying Splash again, but decided against it. The Triple Mtn Whammy would have to wait until next time. So, they hopped in the BTMRR line (5 min). It was sprinkling again at this point, so I waited by the FP machines for them to get off the ride. We had decided earlier in the night that we would skip EMH at AK the next morning. We were having too much fun at MK! It was like having the park to ourselves.

We took a walk over to Fantasyland and rode Peter Pan, Dumbo and Winnie the Pooh with no wait...awesome!!! We noticed (while on Dumbo) that a bunch of characters were out and about....Chip & Dale, Goofy, Donald, Mickey and Minnie. By the time we finished with Winnie the Pooh, it was 12:45am and we were exhausted! We got on a bus around 1:04am and we arrived at Pop at 1:25am. What a day!!!

WOW!!! You guys did almost 12 hrs in the MK!!! AWESOME!!! What a great day! We are still thinking about our August schedule and trying to decide if we will attempt a late night emh or not! We make our ADRs this Friday so I need to pull it together soon!

We had also been at MK that morning too! It was such a great day and we did so much. We've never been at MK that late before and it was amazing!

It was a fantastic night! I wish I could do it all over again. We felt like we shouldn't be there...that's how quiet it was.

I ADORE Dole Whips!!! We have an ice cream place around here that sometimes has pineapple soft serve, but it's not even close to a Dole Whip.

Wow, it sounds like you scored with evening EMH at MK! It was always packed for us when we tried it, but then again, with DD, we barely lasted past 10pm.

EMH was fantastic! I've heard that the last hour of PM EMH is really quiet and it's very true. After Tony & Maddie got off BTMRR, I was ready to head back to the hotel but they weren't. I'm so glad we stayed a bit longer and we got to do Fantasyland rides again.

you are lucky madison can keep going into the late hours with you, my mum used to have to take my little sister back to the hotel on hols and my dad would stay out with me and my other sister, our baby just loved going to bed in the evenings and still does, she's 17 tomorrow and still gets grumpy if she doesn't get to bed early enough!

I'm like a broken record, but really love that final castle photopass pic, the little tink adds a nice sparkle!
