Do any of the table service locations offer take-out? I know most places will allow you to take your dessert to-go, but what about an entire TS meal?

Anyone? Bueller?

I was wondering about this too. We are staying at the CR and I would love to order some sticky mickeys to go from the Concourse Steakhouse. I didn't see them on the food court or room service menus. :wave2:

Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

There are thousands of people on the DIS... someone MUST know!

Bump!

I`d be curious to know also. My DGF has been having a round with migraines lately. In the event she has a bad attack while we`re at WDW I`d like to be able to bring her something good to the room.

When we stayed at the Polynesian 3 years ago, we got both breakfast and dinner "to go" from the Kona cafe. They put everything in those styrofoam take out containers and we ate it in our room. They even had plastic utensils, so it sure seemed that they were set up to provide food "to go". I will say that the food is always better when you eat in the restaurant, but it was still pretty good as take out. That is our only experience with table service as take out, but I hope that helps!

You probably don't want to hear this, but so much of a meal at Disney (whether table service or counter service) is atmosphere. But I understand that sometimes you just want to relax in your room and eat. How about room service?

I know CS Pepper Market allows take-out. So does the Trails End Buffet. At the Swan, they were less enthusiastic to allow us to do this. We were finally able to get an outragiously priced pizza sent to our room (It was very excellent, not the pizza they have elsewhere - real fresh mozarella, fresh basil, tomato slices) but it was not worth what we paid for it. I think it was around $20 for what I'd classify as a 'small' pizza (around 6 slices)! They said it depends on how busy they are.

The deluxes all have room service, the mods will at least bring pizza until midnight, and I think the values also have pizza.

I don't think I'd want to bring take out from any of the in-park restaurants, as it would take too long, and be too difficult to bring food that far.

One thing you can also do is to get leftovers wrapped. Again, I don't think I'd do this from an in-park restaurant, but many rooms have a fridge - so if you had sandwiches or something you didn't mind eating cold left over from lunch, you could put them in your fridge for dinner for a lot less than most room service would cost.

Plus, most of the resorts have a market where you can get drinks like OJ for a decent price.

Where are you staying?

Last year when we stayed at AKL we were able to order some of the flatbreads from Jiko and take them back to our room. That was all the kids wanted to eat, so we didn't want to take up a table ust for that. It was great, we had a picinic on our balcony watching the animals eating our flatbreads and zebra domes. ::yes::

I agree on the atmosphere being a big part of the Disney (or any) dining experience. By the same token, sometimes the peace and quiet of the room is all the atmosphere we need! Room service probably wouldn't be incuded on our dining plan, and the menus are so limited, even at Wilderness Lodge. We may just order Giordano's on the night we stay in instead of attempting to thwart Disney's captive dining magic!

they will deliver to the WDW resorts? YUM. :)

We brought my leftovers( which were excellent) back to ASMu from Tony's in MK. They were boxed but not bagged. It wasn't easy to carry them back on the bus, but they were really good, and I just couldn't leave them behind. We had a fridge as ASMu so the next day we took them to the food court to reheat in the micro, bought a salad, and we had enough for 2 for supper.
