Has anyone gone to the Braves spring training games when visiting WDW in March/April? Since joining DVC, we no longer feel the need to be WDW maniacs and wanted to do something different. We're not big Braves fans, but do like baseball.

How hard is it to get tickets?? I went out to the Braves Web Site and found where I can reserve them, but not sure what day DH, DS and DD will want to go at this point....they are all much more spur of the moment than I am.

Do we need a car to get to field from BWV? With all the mesages on the board about bus transportation for the Epcot resorts, I'm figuring that we'll probably take our rental car.

What kind of food/drinks do they serve? I'm worried that if DH can't buy a beer, he may not feel like he's at a ball game.

Hubby already got his tickets. You might want to go ahead and buy them. From what I understnad they can sell out quickly. Good luck!

An off-site baseball option is the Houston Astros spring training in Kissimmee. It is a little ways off property, but not too far if I recall correctly.

I am a HUGE baseball fan and season ticket holder for the TWINS. They used to train in the Orlando area, but now are based at Fort Myers. I would love to come down for some ST games, but it wont be this year. Maybe next!

That is the site to purchase tickets. We purchased tickets for the Braves/Yanks game on Jan 3 which is the day they went on sale. They were selling very quickly for that particular game but other games like Braves/Indians good seats were left. But that was that day. I would go ahead and purchase if you are serious about it.
