I will be arriving on 8/5 with my 2 boys. My husband will be stuck in a conference that day. My afternoon plan is to ride the monorail (I have 2 train fanatics!). We will plan to get off at one of the monorail hotels to visit the arcade, and would like also like to get dinner somewhere. Dinner doesn't need to be sit-down, a grab and go is fine! I have visited all of the monorail hotels, but not all of the eating areas. Any suggestions?

I bet your boys would love Chef Mickey's in the CR. I have 2 daughters 6 and 2 and it is a must do for us every visit.

We love Chef Mickey's but we couldn't book it! I will keep trying, but we need an easy back-up option. Thank you though!

I was just reading about Gasparilla in the Passporter! It sounds like a good option for us. Thank you for the suggestion!

I couldn't find any pics of Gasparilla's on allears.net. Do they have a good selection of games? Do they have the typical burgers, pizza, etc?

Be sure to ask the CM at the monorail station if your boys can ride up front. A totally different view of the monorail and very good fun. Gasparilla Grill was good when we ate there.

When ever we go on a holiday we stay out of the parks and do the monorail tour. We made reservations for my daughter to have tea with Alice so we parked at the GF. While she had tea my DS and DD and DH rode the boats at the GF. I sat and read in the lobby and shopped in BASIN. When she was done we walked the beach for a bit. We hopped the monorail and went to the contemporary and had a pop and watched the monorails drive by. We walked around the hotel and shopped a bit. We hopped back on the monorail and went to the Poly where DD had her hair wrapped. We walked the beach a little bit and then and early dinner at OHANA. We hopped the monorail and rode a lap got off at Poly played in the arcade, had a great dessert at KONA then watched the fireworks (not sure if the electrical parade is still there or not). We hopped the monorail back to GF and drove back to our hotel. They didnt tell us we could not park for the whole day. If your boys are young enough they have a pirate trip at GF which is fun. There are the boats at all the monorail hotels that they may enjoy renting. The Luau at Poly is quite fun also. Watching the fireworks from the Poly beach is beautiful. Have fun!!!

You could also try to get a squished penny from each monorail hotel as a little scavenger hunt.

With all you said then Chef Mickeys would be your place to eat in my opinion.
Fun place, good food and they can see the monrail while they are eating. Very cool thing :thumbsup2 . It has been a must do for us even now my boys r growing up.
