We're 2 adult, well seasoned Disney foodies, but I'm 2 weeks out and I've been playing around with these darn reservations all day. We have lots of favorites, and some didn't make the cut in order to try new things. I'm nervous, lol. Take a look and let me know if I'm making any mistakes on our new places! We're staying much longer than normal so I feel a little over-whelmed! Okay here it goes!

Arrival - 2 night stay at Saratoga - DDP

Thursday
Lunch: CS- Columbia Harbour/Cantina de San Angel/Cookes of Dublin
((we don't have a plan yet :goodvibes --normally don't do CS--help!)
Dinner: Ohana (we like)

Friday
Lunch: CS- Typhoon Lagoon... whatever, lol--any suggestions?
Dinner: Turf Club (NEW FOR US)

Move to Kidani - 7 nights - DxDDP

Saturday
Lunch: Rose and Crown (NEW FOR US)
Dinner: Captain's Grille (our favorite 1TS meal)

Sunday
Lunch: Yak n Yeti (we like)
Dinner: California Grill (the man must have his spicy kazan roll)

Monday
Lunch: Via Napoli (NEW FOR US)
Dinner: Citricos (amazing)

Tuesday
Lunch: The Plaza (NEW FOR US)
Dinner: The Wave (NEW FOR US)

Wednesday
Breakfast: Hollywood and Vine (must do-hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog!)
Lunch: Nine Dragons (we like)
Dinner: Yachtsman (absolute favorite meal)

Thursday
Lunch: San Angel Inn (love)
Dinner: Cape May Cafe (like-but will take a suggestion)

Friday
Lunch: Coral Reef (NEW TO US)
Dinner: Hoop de Doo (NEW TO US)

Saturday
Lunch: Brown Derby (haven't been since I was in a stroller... so NEW)

at some point we'll do a kona breakfast out of pocket... but we'll play it by ear. staying at kidani is pretty far and we'll have to do it one morning when we get up a little earlier.

i desperately will miss my chefs de france lunch, i kinda wanted to go back to big river grille and g-flo cafe, and i'm soooooooo sad i canceled my CRT breakfast--but when the changed the hours, it wasn't so appealing to walk in when people are already there--BOO.

here's what i won't eat: lecellier, jiko, hacienda, kouzzina, and boma... and i've gotten sick from raglan road and sanaa and am definately not ready for those yet. i cringe at their names!

does everything look good?

We love the Plaza for lunch. Great choice! I am interested in your hearty recommendation of H&V for breakfast. We did it for dinner once and it was fine, but not a must do. Tell me about why it's so high on your list.

hello!

we love hollywood and vine breakfast for a few reasons :)

1. you get into hollywood studios early, beat the crowd, still before opening, the restaurant has never been very crowded when we've went.

2. the food has been hot and plentiful, since it isn't as popular, there's not a mad rush at the buffet and the chefs will make you something special if you request (like plain potatoes without the stuff in it, lol) my favorite that they have is the strawberry topping for the mini mickey waffles!!

3. we don't have kids, but the character interaction is so sweet. they take so much time with each child, and they're able to since it's not as big of a restaurant as some other character meals. the hosts do singing and dancing... and the songs stick in your head all day--very fun for little ones!

4. the service has always been very nice! coffee kept filled, constant checking, and willing to leave bill early since they know everyone wants out for rope drop! they even give me a coffee to go while i'm waiting for rope drop outside :) 10 extra minutes of caffeine is worth an extra tip, lol!

5. being at your own rope drop separate from the main line... worth the price of the meal alone. we LOVE toy story mania and being closer to the front makes life a lot easier to get our fast passes and ride :)

6. we also like that it's in a park, you don't have to transfer to a park then get to a resort, etc... it's not dramatic--straight to the park!

we wish other people liked it as much as we do, but if they did, we might not get a seat :lmao:

Great information! Thanks! Love your plan. DxDDP....would LOVE to try it some time. We are going for F&W in October so did the QSDP for the snacks. We are doing 1 TS for our anniversary. Since we are staying at BC, was going to look at one of the restaurants on your list. Curious why you don't want to eat at BOma?

it's just not our "kind" of food. the only dinner buffet we seem to have luck with is cape may cafe. i think i feel like there are better options for our taste? we had really bad service and a bad meal at jiko so that was the other meal over at akl.

if you're staying at the beach club... definately try captain's grille!! if you want to go fancier--- then yachtsman, but captain's grille is a great meal at a decent price!

Thanks so much! Going to book one of those now. We're self proclaimed foodies ourselves and going without our children this time so I will look into those. So far, we booked Boma and San Angel. Have never eaten at either. We toyed with the idea of V&A but I get anxiety when I think of the final bill. :scared1:

Your thread asking for advice for your choices turned into you giving advice to others. :lmao: Thanks so much for your time. I really appreciate it!

Based on your post, I just made an 8am ADR. One day I want to be able to say that I have eaten at all restaurants on property but with a 15 year old boy, I really though H&V was out of the question. Never really thought about 'using' the meal to get into the Park early! Thank you! We will have a light breakfast while watching the other kids enjoy the characters ... although I admit that I may want to meet Oso! :upsidedow

i had to bump this because something hilarious happened last night. we were going over everything one last time, looking to see when we were going to do an out of pocket kona breakfast, etc. i also asked him if the meals on his birthday were good--since it's his day. he said he wanted to add kona to that day, keep coral reef..... anddddddd

he doesn't want to go to HDDR this time. :confused3

so i ask what he wants for his birthday dinner and i would try to get it..... he could pick 1 or 2 credits.

he picked sci-fi :scared1:

what??? lol, sci-fi for dinner??? all the restaurants on property and he picks sci-fi??? we've had it before, but i didn't know he loved it, lol.

welp, it's his birthday not mine, lol

single digit dance today!

Everything looks good...my only suggestion would be if you're not planning to be at Typhoon Lagoon all day (maybe a half day from opening to early afternoon) I would leave at lunch time and head over to DTD and eat in the Marketplace at WPE. Great food and great use of a CS credit!!

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

Wow! Thanks for this info. Definitely adding H&V to our preospective ADR list.
Being closer to TSM is definitely a perk! ;)

You have some very very very yummy choices

Can I say I LUVLUVLUV them? :rotfl2:

Ok that was bad but I just had to do it ;)

 i like it! they do that to me on the wedding board too, lol. i'm ready for yumminess! my work has a free cafeteria and our chili mac and green beans today wasn't exactly desirable. (but it was free) i'm ready for some serious delicious-ness.

Just took your advise and booked Hollywood & Vine for 8 am breakfast on Friday 5/13! Just a few questions.....What time can we get into the park and what time do the buses start running? Posted opening is 9am. Where is the rope down when leaving the restaurant? Thanks so much!!

they say the busses start to run 2 hours before park opening. i don't know about all that because we are always running out the door last minute :)

i would be at your bus stop no later than 7:30. there will be a line and a cast member with a clipboard for breakfast reservations. they'll verify your name and let you in.

the rope drop is right outside the restaurant by the atm machine they will have plenty of cast members around to guide you :)

we have our reservation on thursday 5/12... so we'll miss ya by a day!! 5/13 is his birthday and he chose kona breakfast, coral reef lunch and sci-fi dinner. what a day
