BB R&B Festival Trip Report

We headed downtown, parked, and found a good spot to catch the next band. :cool1:

On cue, it started to rain, so we went under the Federal Building for a half an hour. :umbrella:

When it stopped, we got some Dinosaur BBQ for the boys.

We caught a set from a rockin' band from Tennesee. :rockband:

It started to rain again. :umbrella: So we took off :moped: and picked up Doug's Fish Fry :fish: on the way home.

Now Rob is listening to his new Jean Luc Ponty CD, which I find very :headache: :crazy2: , and we are enjoying a Sam Adams Light. :drinking1

Interesting crowd at the festival. :tilt: Saw a couple of mully mully mullets and lots of ZZ Top beards. :cool2:

All in all it was a short but fun trip. :teeth:

Lol, sounds pretty fun...other than the rain!!!

House hunting is over for the day. 1 of the 4 we liked, but didn't over it. Still looking. I find it very aggravating, truthfully.
Which one did you like? Let me know if you need opinions on any others....you know I love looking! :teeth:

We only looked at five houses total when we did our house hunting. We got the first house that we looked at.:sunny:

Had to stop in with just one quick question.

Has anyone heard the new Blink 182 song? It has cursed me. I can't get it out of my yed--yes I meant to say "yed".

Don't cry for me
you're already
A voice inside my yed.

(If you've heard it you probably know exactly what I mean. LOL.)

Boy are you lucky :) I looked for two years and twice got out-bidded when I offered full price and others offered OVER the asking price  I bought the house we're in now in Oct '02 by offering full asking price on the first day it was on the market :)

And speaking of where we live......I live three blocks away from John Edwards(Democratic VP) here in Raleigh and when he or his wife are in residence, the security SUV's in our neighborhood are incredible. He's a great guy and I understand the reasons but I just want to get home without having to show my ID!

Tom (is that his name?) is very good at ennunciating (sp?). But for some reason he has to pull off an English accent at the end.

Don't cry forrrrr meeee

Yurrrrr all readyyyyy

A voice inside my Ed!

He completed loses the "H" BLINKBALL!

(I've been singing this all day. It came on the radio on the way back from the concert. I cranked it up. Even my DH who has never heard it started drumming along with it within seconds after it came on. ::yes:: )

Good Morning!!

oddball, I think I read somewhere that you are considering becoming a Yankee fan!!! Have you lost your mind?? There is nothing worse than the Skankees!!!! Please, oh please, DON'T DO IT!!! If you are shopping for baseball teams, I say choose the RED SOX!!! Just ask Carebear. ::yes::

I'm at work today. Hope everyone is doing well. Called this morning hoping for AP rates for October. Still nothing. GRRRRR, we've made all our PS's & we have no place to stay. :sad2:

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good morning everybody!

Last night Ed and I went to see Harry Potter, finally. I haven't read any of the books, and I was anxious to see how this movie was different since some of you were a bit disappointed.

I thought it was good and entertaining, but the weird thing is, I was surprised when it was over. Since I didn't know the plot, I expected some big life and death struggle with "you know who" so when it ended, I looked at Ed and said "is that it?" I get really scared (yes, I'm a weenie) about the suspense of what is going to happen, and if I had known it was ending, I could have relaxed and enjoyed it! Duh!

Today we are all (minus the pups) heading down to CincYYYYY to see DBIL, DSIL and DN. DBIL and DSIL (Ed's bro) are going to Disney with us ELEVEN days. DN was supposed to be going, but now she is going to Europe for 2 weeks instead! Her sister has been in Luxembourg with Miami University of Ohio for a year, and it's her last two weeks there. Some plans fell through for her so she convinced her parents to let her 14-yr. old sister come and backpack through the hostels all over Europe!!! I don't know if I'd do it. She's been to Spain/Italy a couple of years ago with her parents and a tour group so it won't be completely new to be "abroad." She leaves Tuesday with a friend who is also flying to Germany to stay with friends, so she's not flying alone, and they've hired some adults to walk them through customs on each end. Still, if anyone wants to say a little safety prayer for the two of them on Tuesday and for the following two weeks, I'd appreciate it.

Okay, gotta go load the car. Y'all have a great day.

:) ilt

Deadheadbelle Good morning and how are things in Kentucky today? I can't believe they haven't come out with AP rate for Oct yet......maybe Barb could just park her camper at the front gates and ya'll could stay there! ::yes::

Sorry......strange mood this morning.....I'm skipping church this morning  so I guess the devil's funning with me :p

I'm saying a safety prayer for your DN's but their gonna have a great time and probably won't need it! :)

I took a bicycle tour of europe when I was just 16 yrs old.::yes:: I flew over to England by myself and rode bikes for a month with 16 perfect strangers(all 16 yr old guys and girls of course, except for the leader who was 24), stayed at youth hostels and flew back by myself. We had a great time and although I was pretty terrified to begin with, it was great fun and a wonderful adventure. To make things even more dramatic, this was back in 1980 when there was both the US Postal strike(so I got no mail) and the air traffic controllers strike so after a month of riding around europe, I was delayed another 3 days in London because there were NO flights out at all:eek:. It was really scary cause I thought "here I am, 16 yrs old, in a strange country and when the heck am I ever getting home?" :( It was also the summer Charles and Diana married so we so all the decorations and hoopla going on for that. princess: It was really quite "magical" and I'd give anything to be 16 again and do it all over, except of course, I'd stay in a fancy hotel where I wouldn't have to sleep and shower with strangers every night

Sorry for the long story but I think the girls will have a great time, learn alot and have lots of great adventures to talk about for years :teeth:

But here's a hug anyway for a sweet aunt for cares enough to worry

llebrekniT Thanks for the yummy breakfast! And have I told you how cute your sweet dogs look? No? Well, consider it done! :teeth:

Hey everyone, I've been back over to the mainland wondering where everyone was. Things have been busy here for a while but now we are on holiday things should get easier. Saying that I've just been getting a few things ready so I can go into work tomorrow to get some things done. I figure if I go in for 2 or 3 days this week everything will be finished then I can have a break from work and get on with the building and remodeling we are doing to the house.
