Nope, not kidding. The recipe was posted a couple of weeks ago & it calls for 1 pint of BLOOD.

OK, I'm not going in to the whole black pudding thing again, but like Deadheadbelle said it involves blood and no sign of chocolate!! Fried bread is just what it says bread fried in oil in a frying pan. It is best to let the fat drain off and then it goes crispy. Very bad for you but nice once in a while.

Oh well, back to the house cleaning. I just stopped to have a sandwich for lunch.

So do you go to the Blood bank and take a withdrawal???:rotfl:

Danauk and DHB, thanks for the yummy breakfast. Sure beats what I was going to fix for myself!

geffric - just go to Google and do a search for "black pudding" and "recipe." Enough said. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_2_5.gif' alt='Vomit 2' border=0></a>

QOTD: We're flying into Orlando on SW from Indy... it should take 2 hours and 10 minutes. It was cheaper than Columbus, and the return time is much better than the 7:45 a.m. we'd have to do. I can't believe the only flight from Orlando to Columbus is that early! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_11_1.gif' alt='Alarm Clock' border=0></a>

The first time I went to WDW was when I was a junior in college ... hmmm... the year of the Bicentennial, I believe. I know, some of you young whippersnappers were not even born yet and the rest were in elementary school! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_5_13.gif' alt='Crib 2' border=0></a>

Okay, I didn't sleep well, so I'm going back to bed! Yes, I'm ignoring the dirty dishes, piles of laundry, hungry dogs, and general mess my house is in. I bet it will still all be there after my nap unless someone here can PD it away for me!

I'll be back to read the 23 pages I'll probably miss while getting my beauty sleep.

OMG! She sent a used pregnancy test?!?!? ;)

Wait a minute a used pregnancy test? I want an explanation!

:guilty: I can't breathe through my nose. If I take one Sudafed, it probably won't do much. If I take two Sudafed, I'll get the heeby-jeebies. There I just took two. In about ten minutes I'll be like this--:hyper: .

QOTD:

I don't think I posted our plans for Easter. We are going to SIL's -- two hours away. After all that to-do, my parents aren't going. My dad has to sing at both services, so they wouldn't get to SIL's until at least 2:30 p.m.

Yes, I remember Sigmond, HR Puffnstuff, Land of the Lost. Loved those shows.

First trip to WDW was I believe in spring of 1977, so I just turned 12. We drove to Florida, and we just visited the Magic Kingdom for one day. We have super 8 movies of me sitting on the beach holding up my Teen Beat magazine with Leif Garrett's centerfold.

My WDW addiction started in 1989 when DH and I were engaged and went to visit his parents in SW Florida and went to WDW for a couple of days. We did this every year until Eric was born.

Okay, I'm going to check our e-mails, and if nothing I have to deal with I'm gonna pack everything in the box and run over to the post office. Should I put cash in the envelope or write a check or doesn't it matter Ohanafamily?

HELP!

I just went to my PM's to get Ohanafamily's address for shipping, and I can't find the PM!

Can someone PM me the shipping address?

Would you believe me if I said it referred to a comments that ohanafamily said on this thread about pressure from the family about their not having Kids yet..??:teeth: :rotfl:

NO I did not sent that..

Bichon Barb is being silly 'cause she can't think of what could be sent that was on a stick.. like a Mickey Bar or ???

I will forwrd the email from Neph for you..

Nutball27, ahhhh, middle school days. Now listen closely, try to follow this. Middle school SUCKS! Get through it the best you can, none of it will matter to you in the future. You will look back on these days and go "middle school sucked". Because it does. There are better days ahead. Hold your head high, stay true to who you are and don't let yourself be brought down to the level of those silly girls who aren't going to do very well in life carrying on as they do. Speech over, unless you want some more?!?

oddball27 This is VERY good advice! Looking back on it now, middle school was excrutiating for me and ALL my friends. Even the most popular people have a hard time. I actually feel badly that my 9 yr old son will have to go thru it and wish he could skip on up to high school, although, that sucked too:p, but not as badly as middle school. You seem very smart and have your head together so I'll know you'll survive ok.....just don't let the jerks get you down. And ALWAYS remember, you are better than S and W so don't let them bring you down to their level. Take ohanafamily's advice and show them they can't put you down. Ok, end of lecture......you're a great girl, we love ya and want ya to be happy!:teeth:

Thanks Geffric. Duh, I skimmed through the senders looking for OF's name. I forgot that Neph was the one who sent the PM.

I asked the people in the office next door if they had any boxes. They didn't have the size I need, so I'm taping up the box that I have.

RickinNYC Hope Joe is doing better , sorry about his leg. Just so you know my DH keeps refering to you as " Mishells friend who dressed like a Prince"he was telling someone where our NYFD pin came from . Why cant he just say Rick????? It is my Dads name for Petes sake ! I know he can remember it

Well, at least he said "dressed like a Prince" and not "dresses like a Prince." God forbid he thinks I wear that stuff all the time!

Joe is indeed doing better though he's still somewhat uncomfortable. Update: He went to his own doctor yesterday due to yet more pain and she said that since the DVT tests came back negative, it's likely he has a lower back problem which would require physical therapy. If that didn't work, then surgery. Yikes! But that's unlikely, just a last ditch effort.

As for me, the wobbliness is fading away. I'm almost back to my graceful bull in a china shop self.

Here's a gripe. Our Executive Director asked me to give an update to everyone during our staff meeting this morning. I had everything ready, some pretty great number to relay. Sure enough, she and a few others spoke for such a long time, I had, no joke, 30 seconds to give my presentation! AAAAaaaahhh!!!!

Now for some fun stuff. I definitely remember HR Puff n Stuff, Land of the Lost and Lidsville. Anyone here ever see and remember the Wacky Racers???

QOTD: first went to Disneyland in the late 60's and early 70's and became hooked.

First time to Disney World was in 1980. We had just moved back to the states (Jacksonville, FL) from being stationed in Japan for 6 years. My Dad had just bought a new car and wanted to go on a roadtrip. Three hours later, we were rolling through the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.

QOTD:

1976 - 1st DL trip
1979 - 1st WDW trip

Yes, I remember HR Puff n Stuff (had a crush on the cute boy) and Land of the Lost (at age 42, my brother still pretends to be a sleestak:rolleyes: and it still creeps me out!)

.....but my favorite was the Gilligan's Island episode when they perform a musical version of Hamlet to impress the big shot movie producer who just happens to get stranded with them for a few days. I still remember some of the songs:

"Hamlet, Hamlet, you're such a lamblet" - sung by Ginger
"I ask to be or not to be" - sung by Gilligan to the Skipper and Marianne

They were sung to famous music(Carmen, I think) and every time I hear the music in elevators or whatever, I sing the Gilligan's Island words instead of the original ones.....this has plagued me for years....wish I could get that episode on tape....it's funny because I never really liked the other episodes!

Sure wish I were like you,Rick! I'm the Chair of a committee and have to stand up to give an update at meetings twice a month.....oh, the pressure, I get all flustered and studder and sweat....it's completely awful! It would be wonderful if they only gave me 30 seconds!

sorry to vent but as I have to give another speech tonight and I'm already falling to pieces...does my hair look okay? do I look fat? are they gonna talk about how badly I spoke? .....and on and on and on......

my best friend gave me a glass of wine before I spoke last month, but being a lightweight, I just did the same nervous speech but added a big, goofy, alchohol-induced grin to make things worse....oh, well, there's always next month.:scared:

Cheeringmomand Tigger Fans! So happy you're back and I've always loved how you refer to llebrekniT as Tinkbackwards !:teeth:

and geffric, um, uh, should we be frightened about what's on your sticks?

(please don't let her be an axe murderer, please don't let her be an axe murderer)
