OK, my DFIL is a really nice guy. Everyone likes him. He & DH's mom divorced when DH was 12 or 13. Anyway, he was never a very good "dad". He is a pilot, so he wasn't around much, he married a crazy drunk who didn't want much to do with his kids. Well, he divorced her....thank the lord & he has been a fairly good dad since DH & his sister became adults. Well, the thing with him is that he is a bit of a chauvinist. He's not mean, but he just tends to think men are ....um, more important (for lack of a better word) than women. Well, he is crazy about Josh. He likes Lainie, too, but he didn't get her a card or anything when she was born. Well, her first Christmas she was only 3 weeks old, but again, no gift, no card, no nothing. Lainie's 1st birthday, no card, no gift, no nothing. Christmas last year he did get her a very nice collectible doll that I told him about. He spent about $100 on Lainie & close to $300 on Josh. I know right now she doesn't notice, but as she gets older, I worry that she'll think he doesn't love her as much. When my DH was younger, DFIL took him skiing in Colorado & bought him all kinds of stuff; whereas, his younger sister definitely got the shaft.

Anyway, just a little rant. No big deal. I just don't want Lainie to get the shaft the rest of her life.

No time to stay...DS is screaming his little head off...anyone got any tips on helping him give up his pacifier? It wouldn't bother me so much except that I'm really tired of gettting up 2-3 times a night when it falls out of his mouth and he won't look for it...jsut stands up and SCREAMS bloody murder! And let me tell you...nails on a chalkboard have nothing on this kid! Take the worst sound you've ever heard....multiply it by 10....then blast it on your stereo at full volume. Like I said...the little terrorist Gotta go before the neighbors call DSS...you can hear him across the street....

Ella didn't puke last night!!! I am sooooo happy. It's the first time in 11 nights!
