As far as the little one's go, I'd just ignore it. I think that if you make a big deal out of it, they will too. You know they love to push mommy's buttons.![]()
I did ignore it, but her other son pointing it out is what really bothered me most. It was like he highlighted the whole thing by repeating it. Arghhhhhh. Since Grant has NOT heard those words before, I figured ignoring it would have been best. He will learn them soon enough, I know from school.
Her second boy is definately defiant and does love to push moms buttons, middle child too.
As far as the female dog word, we were in line at Wally World when the same boy said it to her when she had been telling him he could not have a Hot Wheels car, they weren't behaving in the store. She did not hear him, I advised her (maybe I shouldn't have but I don't find it appropriate) and right in line, out loud, she said did you say *****? Both of her boys said NO. What else would they say? Then she turned and said, nope, neither one of them said that.

I don't let Grant play with them much and when I do, something like this happens. Wow, maybe I am too

Yes, the boys behave better without her there and she would be there for the party.
Rick guys can get away with doing things like that, us girls hold grudges and it wouldn't be pretty. I completely respect your theory, but girls are sooooo not like guys in that area. I think my best bet is to not harvest a war...she's connected to my work and other friends.
