Let's see, I made one post (which took forever) then couldn't get the page loaded again. Gave up!

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I, on the other hand, will be confined to my

room. I can hardly walk in it as it is. Of course, that is nothing new, but I am determined to do something about it this weekend.

Anywho, QOTDs:

I drive a '92 Ford Taurus SW. It's called Mom's Taxi.
Hubby drives a POS that I call the POS.

I'm a SAHM that does bunches of odd stuff for my mom and others in need in exchange for goods or services. Bartering is an ancient custom and so missing these days. So I can DIS when I can.

I'm from Central PA. Hubby was born just outside of St. Louis. (I call him my midwestern hick... he calls me his pennsyltuckian... what a doofus IMO but he's cute)

Which reminds me, I am also gonna find some pics of anything that has family members in it. We have a fam photo from last year but I have yet to figure out how to put it anywhere. I don't know where the DIS photo section is. I've clicked on links from threads but am clueless as to where and how to do this.

I really want to do this on my own because my other half has a tendency to take over whenever I ask for help. It's sweet but I gotta start this pic posting sometime.

Good evening everyone! I am going completely nuts right now. My DD has two girls over for a sleep over and one of these girls cannot, I mean CANNOT seem to lower her voice! They were upstairs in the loft and I could not hear the TV downstairs! I am going NUTS! Never again! Never again! Never again! I am downing some pain killers and probably have to use ear plugs tonight to get some sleep! Man, what a stupid mom to say "okay, both girls can spend the night!"

Some more questions...I drive a 2003 black PT Cruiser GT Turbo 5 speed. I love it! Actually, I had to trade with DH's vehicle cuz I can't drive with a clutch with my bum legs, so now I am driving his 2002 Expedition.

I was born on Fort Huachuca, AZ and DH was born in Salina KS. I am a native Arizonan and DH moved here when he was 7, so he is a sorta semi-native Arizonan.

Well, it is DS's dish night and he has not done them yet since I let him watch Star Gate...now, I gotta get that whip out on that boy and ask for the 200th time for the girls to turn down the volume.

Hi guys I just got back from meeting Ohana ,RRBB, and their kids . Great family

I have got to say that they are as nice in person as they are on here. We of course talked about all of you ( all good things) I really did understand how big a part of my life you guys are ! Thanks to all of you for just being so nice .( see I am buttering you up so when you see the pics of us no one will laugh at me LOL)

I work as part of the managment team at a 24 hour emergency vet clinic .My DH is a Firefighter/Paramedic.

I was born in Dallas Tx, my DH was born in Beaumont Tx. I was born 10 years and 5 months to the day before him . ( insert laughter here! Yes I'm 10 yrs older then him . See I am special and I know it LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL)

OK, I have decided that I am crazy...[COLOR=CC0000]Mad4Mickey[/COLOR], thank you for the wonderful company. I can't believe you have kids that are older than you are. How did you arrange that.

I never finished my story about Princess. The Dog I was telling you about...

Two German Shepherds were stolen from us and I was heartbroken. My dad put an add in the paper, but to no avail. One evening we got a phone call from a lady saying that her apartment would not allow her to keep the dog. She told my dad that she gave $20 for the dog, with pedigree papers, and that it was important for her to go to a good home where she would be loved. We went to meet her, My Dad, My Mom, Me, and a friend whose dad was a veterinarian. The lady brought this small German Shepherd out with this huge chain. She unhooked the chain from the dog, and the dog walked right up to my mother and pushed up on her hand with her nose in a "Pet Me" gesture. End of discussion. (Postscript, the first few weeks after that the dog was filling out so quick that we thought she was Pregnant, but alas, I think that the family couldn't afford to feed her. She was a Princess, as her name would suggest. She loved sneaking into the living room (where she wasn't allowed) and lying under the piano while my mother was practicing. Gosh, I loved that dog...

Thanks RRBB for helping me--I am about reinstall some of my software (rather-hubby). I'm supposely have the same color in my signature, but it looks like Duke Devil blue on my computer. Sometimes things don't transfer from window to window--its baffled computer experts last month--with partial success. Its sounds like you all had fun tonight. Maaaaybe NC Beast will join us this weekend. He is working until noon Sat. I'll try to help him pick a color.
