it is called a dumpster in the midwest.. don't know about other parts of the country.. Careful of your back with all of the stone moving.. and please share a picture of the waterfall project... Our backyard isn't big enough for that type of stuff.. but then we have a big swing set/climbing thing for the kids in the yard.

Morning all. Hope everyone has been good. Took a personal day yesterday, hence my absence.

Things were kinda rough in the past few days. I had to go to a career fair at Columbia U on Friday. Needed to check out some potential summer interns. Nothing worth the time it took.

That same night, went to a non-profit "social." Was having a great time meeting folks when my cel phone rang. It was Joe. He had been having some discomfort in his right leg, started at the top and making its way down to his calf. He spoke with my dad (retired doctor) who told him to go to the hospital. Not the next day, not after the weekend. He said to go immediately. Apparently all the symptoms were for DVT (deep vein thrombosis), clots in the arteries or something.

So I had to rush to the emergency room to meet him. They put him through a battery of tests, checking him for DVT. Nothing. We spent the night in the emergency room. Got home close to 5 in the morning.

Then I had to work on Saturday, very, very tiiiiired. Small fundraiser at a shop in SoHo.

Thus, I took yesterday off to have some "alone" time. Big mistake. Forgot that my monthly report was due. So that's what I'm working on today.

Anyway, all is good now.

Forgot to check my mail yesterday and guess what had been waiting in my mailbox all night.........a package from Danauk containing the most wonderful and delicious Cadbury chocolate bars I've ever tasted!!!

My DS9 and I are in the process of tasting each one...... you've never seen two happier people in your whole lives.......it's like the most decadent Chocolatefest you could ever imagine! I'm sitting here typing with a big goofy, chocolate induced grin on my face

My son said to tell you that "Danauk, you ROCK!" which is a very big compliment from a 9 yr old boy!

Thanks for the well wishes guys. His leg is still bothering him, some pain, feels tight in the calf due to swelling. But he's otherwise fine. And the docs couldn't figure out what was wrong. Spent more than 8 hours in the emergency room only to come out with a prescription for Motrin! But the good news is that he's fine.

Just worried about my Joey but he's fine nonetheless.

There, did that catch your attention? Ohana, RRBB, whomever is on, I'm trying to make reservations for Rob's trip to Fort Worth (6/6 to 6/10/04). Here is the info:

From what Rob tells me, all the biggie hotels are booked. I tried Courtyard Marriott Downtown and Forth Worth Club, and they are booked.

The Homestead Village Guest Studios have availability, but they are a 5-7 minute drive to the convention center. Which means he'd have to taxi back and forth.

Do you have any ideas on hotels close the convention center?

At the moment I'm sitting drinking a cup of tea with an oreo (thank you again Lewski709). I think my favourite so far is the mint one, at the moment I'm eating a chocolate one.

RickinNYC I'm sorry to hear that Joe wasn't well. I'm glad he's getting better now

Well the gardening project is coming on. I have finished one waterfall and have half dug the hole for the new water feature. DH has built the new bunny cage and is just putting the wire around the cage for the run. I have come in for a break as I have back ache from digging (plus it still keeps raining - although the sun has come out now that I have come in ) I guess I better get on, I want to finish digging the holw this afternoon so I can install the actual water feature bit tomorrow.

Loved the trip report. Very easy to read. Yes, I think you should post it on the trip report board. Oh, and don't feel bad about the stroller thing. Happened to us too when Eric was a toddler. We were at the Philadelphia Zoo. Eric took at flying leap out of the stroller and bled quite nicely. Don't you love they way everyone stares at you like you are some kind of monster parent or something?

RickinNYC, hope Joe is doing better. Isn't it just a ball visiting the ER? Oh, we got the bill for Rob's two days in the ER, then ICU, and then room. $6,500. Good! At least we are getting something for the $10,000 a year we pay in health insurance.

Hello to all our returning Tagliarchans! We missed you! We are having a DIS meet at WDW on Columbus weekend. Lewski and I are ditching our families and staying for three nights. Anyone crazy enough to join us?

Tye fell out of the stroller on our trip too, Jan this year. See the owies..........
