CourtasanSatine, season 1 of NewsRadio was supposed to be released in February, but it has been delayed. I cannot wait for it to come out. It is one of my ALL TIME favorite TV shows.

We are trying to get a consensus of what a Matzah Ball tastes like, I guess it tastes like chicken! actually, it is rather bland, and absorbs the tastes around it.

Another QOTD: if just about everything "tastes like chicken", what does chicken taste like?

I was 28 when I had Eric and 30 when I had Hunter.

I'm not super sentimental, but I cannot believe that Eric is starting middle school in September. He'll only be 10 years old until November. (He started kindergarten when he was four, and our cutoff date is December 1st. Hunter's birthday is 1/17, so even though the kids are only 2 years, 2 months apart, they are three grades apart--but that works for their personalities.)

We had orientation last week, and I was really impressed with the staff. A principal, two vice principals, one full time and one part time school psychologists, an officer from our Town police department on staff, and the sixth graders get their own guidance counselor. The sixth graders are divided into three teams which are in classes together--that way it is not so overwelming for the kids. And in the morning they go to something that sounds kind of like a homeroom with a small number of students and a teacher But the objective of this small group is to touch base each morning to chat about what's going on with the kids, any problems they might be having, etc.

I'm back in Ohio after a few days w/Mom, etc. in Nashville. It was so good to be home. Rikku - where in Nashvegas do you live? Do you ever have DIS meets down there?

Unfortunately, on Thursday, I bent over to pick up a shoe and something in my back went skczhrhzk and that was not a good thing.

After the x-ray technician made me do many contortionist positions standing up and lying on the flat, hard x-ray table (can we say Marquis de Sade?), the doc told me that there was no bone or nerve damage that he could see, and that I probably have a bulging disk that will one day herniate. Sounds nasty to me. Anyway, thanks to lots of drugs ... love those Lortabs... I was able to sleep most of the 7 hours home in the car yesterday.

Today I'm a bit better, but can't sit here long enough to read all the posts from 3/30 til now. Hope everyone is well ... let me know if there's anything I need to know from this past week.

The DIS boards are running monthly contest (I think it's an ongoing thing) for people to find errors on the DIS website and turn them in for corrections. The DISer who turns in the most corrections wins a DIS t-shirt. I was the first winner!!!

BTW, I'm worried that my siggie may be too big, now, but I can't figure out a way to make any of my graphics smaller, or how to put my new DCPS logo up on the same line as the other two. I guess a moderator will warn me if it's too big?

I agree, I get to do projects as I don't have kids. However I do only have time to do things during school holidays, my 29 kids at school make sure I can't get things done during term time!! I'm 27 myself now and can't see me wanting kids of my own, I love being able to go away for the weekend with DH and friends without the responsibility. I don't think I could cope with my own kids after spending the day with 29 of them. However I do get to see my kids doing great things and help them to grow up so I don't feel I am missing out too much. I really do admire people who have kids, I don't think I could cope personally. Perhaps if I had a different job it would be different.

So much for the plans for today though. It rained all day so I didn't get anything done outside. The skip arrives tomorrow though so I have to get the water feature done and bunny run made no matter what. I guess according to the weather forcast it will be inbetween showers though!! I did get all my school planning done though, did the washing, began to sort things out to pack for Saturday and filled in an application form for a new job and did the cover letter to go with it so I didn't waste the day doing nothing.

Oh well, dinner is ready so I better go (tomato and ham pasta bake).
