:wave2: Hi All!

QOTD: I call them Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. My grandparents and godmother would say Supper instead of Dinner on Sundays.

Gotta go now and find out why my MIL is having trouble seeing our pic page.

QOTD: I am terminology-challenged, I guess. I call it breakfast, lunch, and supper or dinner, depending on which stage of my childhood I'm living in at the moment.

For my dogs, it's always "suppytime" a la "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown," no matter what time of day it is.

QOTD Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner EXCEPT Sunday, when we had Supper, often as early as 1PM, but usually around 3PM...it was a 'dinner' size meal and usually included extended family. This was when I was growing up....later, when we children were older, there was less and less of the extending family thing, which was replaced with going out for a nice lunch or buffett after church.

My folks said that they wished that could have seen the special show at the Curve, but not for $40+ a ticket.

:D I almost forgot to answer the QOTD. I eat breakfast, lunch, supper (and sometimes I call it dinner). I usually skip breakfast.

Good morning everyone. I just thought I would quickly drop in to say "Hi" before I have to zoom out of the house again. We have been so busy last week we have run out of food in the house so need to go shopping!! This afternoon I have another rehearsal at the theatre but only for an hour so at least I get to chill a bit today.

Hi everyone. :wave2: I'm sitting at a computer in the Admiral's Club in the Boston airport, just trying to catch up. Looks like there was a lot of chatter while I've been away.

I had an amazing time at CKU. I even met and hung out with a few DISers. I tooks some fantastic classes and am coming home with lots of projects to finish and products to add to my supplies. I entered the layout contest again - stayed up until 4am the night before I left working on it - but didn't win. However, my roommate won 1st place for journaling with her layout. I'm so excited for her. I let her babble all night long because I knew exactly how she felt.

I hope y'all took good care of ohanafamily and Nephosaurus for me. I didn't really get a chance to call and check in with them as much as I would have liked. Geez, I barely had time for meals. (And sometimes I didn't.)

I still have over an hour until boarding so I think I'll go find a place to sit and eat my sandwich, I mean breakfast. Talk to y'all later. :teeth:

Hi all!

I'm easing my way slowly back into normalcy... whatever that is! *sigh* I miss the good ol' days of kids in school and getting on the 'puter whenever I wanted.

Oh well, life's a beach, right? :teeth:

Boy it's quiet here today!! So what is everyone doing? I have just finished the housework and am sitting watching my Les Miserables DVD singing along to it (and trying to figure out which sections they cut out of the school version we performed last week!!) My FIL has just phoned to ask if he can come over as he has broken part of one of his musical instruments wich Pete will be able to fix for him. It will take him about an hour and a half to get here though as he has to take my MIL to a party first.

That reminds me I forgot to tell you about something that happened at the theatre yesterday. The boy who was sitting next to me playing the trumpet got his instrument out of his case, blew down it and couldn't get a sound out of it. We relised something was stuck inside it. When we looked he had a bottle top stuck down the end of his trumpet!! Luckily I have 2 trumpets and I happened to have both of them with me so he borrowed one of them for a while whilst the bottle lid was prized out of his!! It took 35 minutes to get it out!

Whew, home at last! ohanafamily and Nephosaurus both came to the airport to pick us up. (Well, Nephosaurus stayed in the car while we got my luggage. But he was there.)

So, what's been going on while I've been gone? Anything fun? Any new boys to talk about? Tell me, tell me. I need to know all. ;)

Danauk, weird story!!!!!

Which brings me to a new QOTD... especially for all of the Thespians out there.

QUOTD, What is your best weird theater story. I would have to say mine is on one Sunday afternoon we came in to do a prep for a show (Music Man) I had a part (Constable Locke) but I was one of the "Techies On Call". we found a snake stuck on the floor in some dried Dr. Pepper. you should have heard the girls screaming. The head of our Theater Department had to scrape it off the floor. It was kind of gross.

:bounce:

Best theatre story, I have loads but will share the funniest (I think). My theatre company were performing 'Singing in the rain' a few years ago. There is only one full set for the show in the country which is the one they used when it was on in the west end of London. So we hired it in (at a huge cost!!). Anyway obviously the show contains rain so the rain truck was supplied with the set. The rain truck was a huge cast iron tub which was pushed on to the stage. It was so big it would not fit into the wings of theatres so it was in 2 halves which had to be sealed when in position on stage. Then the rain sequence was started (about 10 minutes before it was needed). Anyway on the last night the rain was started but the stage crew had not sealed the joints properly and the whole thing leaked. However there was nothing that could be done as it would have ruined the show. So the conductor was told over the headphone system that buskets were on the way - he had to conduct with one hand and hold a bucket with the other. In the mean time everyone else was in the wings with all the cloths, spare curtains etc that we could find and the sound technician was swearing loudly that his mics would be ruined!! At the end of the scene as the curtains closed we all ran on bedind them to mop up the stage. The musicians in the pit and their music all had to be dried with hair dryers at the interval. They were not happy at the time, we laugh about it now!!!!:umbrella: :umbrella:

I have more of these stories to share, but will wait for another time!!
