I am off to the swimming pool in DHB's neighborhood for the day. Daniel had a friend stay over last night and we are picking up a friend for Holly. Meeting DHB and kids there.

Our baseball team made the local paper again - I edited it down a little, it was a really long article:

Major roll: Red Sox end season at 22-1

For most of the season, the Red Sox went unchallenged.

Appropriately enough, they finished the season in the same fashion.

Facing the team that dealt them their only loss of the year, the Red Sox hammered out an 11-1 victory in four innings over the Rockies in Saturday’s 11-12 Major League championship game.

The Red Sox won all three of their tournament games by the 10-run rule in four innings. They finished the season at 22-1.

The final game pitted the regular-season champs in the American and National leagues....

After allowing no hits in the team’s semifinal win, the Red Sox yielded only one hit Saturday.

A walk and two errors opened the door for two Red Sox runs and a 5-1 lead. Zimbro ripped an RBI triple for a 6-1 lead, and Daniel Huber followed with an RBI ground-rule double for a 7-1 advantage. {This was the one that bounced over the fence, out of the park}

Rockies Coach Steve Roberts said his squad “had a great season” on its way to finishing the year at 19-4.... but the Red Sox just played flawless ball.”

RickinNYC, OK, so when do you start this new job? will it be a substantial pay increase? Will there be more stress? if it doesn't work out will you be able to go back to Harvest? once again, will you have time to Dis? Oh, and will you be able to make the October Meet?

Nephosaurus is feeing a little green still, but he wants to know if it is OK to make you LOL at work stilll...he once got this really bad e-mail that when you open it turned the volume of your speakers all of the way up and says (as loud as possible) "Hey everybody, I'm looking at Porn over here!" He can send you that file if you really want it.....

Seriously, we all wish you the best of luck, and realize that you may not have as much Dis time during the next 104 days (2 weeks plus the 90 day test period most companies do) Oh, and If [COLOR=000666]Sauron who is imitating a Hobbit to gain access to rings[/COLOR] acts up, will, I guess Joe will have to send us status reports.

QOTD: I really like a Pringle. Also a fan of the Ruffles if I have French Onion Dip. Oh, I know. I like Cape Cod chips. I think that's the brand. They are so yummy, I especially like the salt & vinegar ones.

Edited to add: Called Dining and Group Dining to confirm that the policies are still the same. Yep! Unfortunately, the "most unhelpful CM ever" still works there. I remember her from our December trip

Anyway, our choice of dining times will be between 8:05-8:25 or 10:10-1030. We'll be trying for the something in the 10:10-10:30 slot so the KY girls can be sure to join us
