Me, I'm still here.
Like the new pic in you sig llebrekniT. Which trip is that from?

It's from January 2000, our coldest trip ever. That morning it was 28 degrees. When we got to Florida it was 82 degrees. Three days later a cold front moved through and I have never been colder in my life.

We get waaaay colder weather here in Ky. But I don't go outside for hours and hours in it. Also, just something about palm trees being all around and it being cold makes it feel worse. We had to go to a mall and buy some warmer clothes and we still froze. The worst part was the tram rides, the cold air cut right through, bit our faces.

I was looking through my pictures and found it and just thought it would be fun to have it in my siggie for a few days since it's getting so hot outside.

Very early here! ibouncetoo wore me out yesterday on our "mall walk" - something happened to me after lunch (*tummy) and I came home and read, then went for a late nap (not usually a good idea) and slept all the way through till 5:45 this a.m. WOW! I must have caught something. I jumped in the pool first thing, and got refreshed, but can tell that something isn't quite right. Anyway... I can't wait till :bounce: ibounce too gets back from WDW after meeting more of you. She just loves this place! OH, before I forget...

CONGRATS!!!! LEW on your new tag.:hyper:

I love mine! A big  to Holly! Welcome. I don't frequent too often, but my SISTER (ibouncetoo) lives here! Well, everyone have a very awesome day!

Good Morning TAGLIKINS!

Sorry I didn't stop in yesterday. I worked all day, went shopping, cooked dinner, worked in the yard, bathed the kids & put them to bed. I caught up on posts last night, but was exhausted & went to bed. This Saturday is Josh's 5th Birthday!!! I can't believe he is going to be 5. Anyway, we are having his party on Friday. He is so excited. I've got to clean this house!

TalkisCheap, have fun at camp. So, what's the story!

oddball27, WELCOME HOME!!!! We missed you so much. Did you have good weather? Did you ride Go-Carts?

Lewski709, love the new tag!!! I prefer mine roasted with olive oil, salt & pepper.

TiggersPal, glad you stopped by again. Stick around this time!

ibouncetoo, I love the pictures you posted & your avatar looks great! Can't wait to meet you in October!!!

RickinNYC, when are you going to hear about the job. It's next week.

**edited because I am an idiot!

Hey, am I crazy? I thought cadburysmom was back? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_30_119.gif' border=0></a>

I have to go to the grocery store today. The kids will be thrilled.

Guess I better get going.

You need a PS to get into the park before opening, and you are escorted (sometimes very 'casually') to the restaurant. We'll need to stick with the original mealtime...10-1030ish...but I'll be joining you at opening ::yes:: .That is, of course, unless you want two breakfasts! ;) Also to keep in mind for the proposed Sun/Mon morning schedule. Sunday is early entry to MK and Mon is early entry to AK....and there are conflicting schools of thought on that subject. Some say to AVOID the EE park, some say to be there the second you are let in for EE and bug out after a couple of hours.
Of course you have to have a PS to get in early! I must've been REALLY tired last night to have missed that one! Doh! Oh well....guess we'll be there at opening, unless I can convince Lewski and Barb to gorge themselves twice at breakfast! Yipes! Don't think even I could do that!! Oh well....I'll save castle pics for next time I drag the fam-damily down there ::yes::

Yet another wonderful (NOT!) side effect of pregnancy  I gotta wonder, how can something so "natural" screw with our bodies as much as it does?!?!? And minds, too!!

Hope you both get to feeling better soon :)

Did I mention I have the most crap ever??????

Of course went to start on the kitchen and most of the stupid dishes are dirty in the dishwasher. ugh!!! We will be a paper plate gfamily this week! I will not wait to the last minute, I will not wait to the last minute, I will not wait to the last minute....

DHB did TIGGERFANS stop back by??? I guess I didn't see my name in her post and skimmed it!!! heheheh

Ok am I being pissy here???? We are supposed to move into our house on the 5th and the people that are living there now are shutting off all of their utilities etc on the 1st-here is the kicker.... They are having the carpet cleaners and house cleaners come in on the 2nd and 3rd and want us to sign over for the electric as soon as they leave on the 1st. They said they didn't want to have to pay utilities on two households-hellooooooooo we are doing it. And paying for their cleaners electric and water. I couldn't believe it when I called the utility company this am and they told me when neighbors were cutting off services. I called our neighbor to confirm about the carpet guys and the housekeepers coming on t he above dates and she told me about the two households yada yada. I mean, I was nice enough to tell neighbor that I would open up door and get receipts from cleaners but didn't know I would be paying for their electric and water too!! ugh

Ok I know its not a lot of money but the gull of it all. I mean she could have asked. and she could have waited until the 3rd to get things shut off. Oh well. I'm just in a pissy mood I guess.

Off to pack

Cheeringmom Don't know whether you're in a pissy mood or not, but that lady is just downright TACKY! You have every reason to be upset about it! Why she expects you to pay to have the house cleaned is beyond me!! Depending on who comes, you may not have to. The carpet services we've used have always had truck-mounted systems....they don't plug into water or electric. But you'd still have to get the lights turned on for them and the housecleaner so they can see what they're doing. AND, you wouldn't want to leave the house with wet carpets without the AC running....talk about one steamy mess when you walked in! Yuck! No matter how much or how little they use, though, it's VERY TACKY of her to do that to you!! Sorry :( Like you needed something else to worry about while you're moving

As for most crap, have you ever gone over your weight limit? I have  Got by without paying on a technicality, but things don't look good for moving next year....the down-sizing has begun! :(

I don't think you're being pissy at all. She should have called you & discussed it with you. ::yes::

I have a dr's appt at noon today so hopefully they'll give me painkillers soon....it seems all I have to do is hear "strep throat" and I get it ....and no, I don't handle illness well...just don't have time for it

RickinNYC Darn it! I was so looking forward to coming back and finding out about your job situation and here they are making ME wait another week...the nerve! :p

kadaten I had such a great time in Charleston last week, but actually we were on Isle of Palms staying in a section called Wild Dunes.....sure wish you could've been there....it was absolutely beatiful.::yes:: Now I know why you are so fond of that area...seems all anyone talked about were tides and turtles....big nesting ground, ya know. My friend had pictures of them guarding turtle nests and such...wish I lived down there year round. I never made it into Charleston though, just drove by it on the way so never got to taste the yummy hummingbird cake you love :( Oh, and for the recipe for my famous Chocolate Chip Kahlua Cake, just look in your swap bag....I put in a copy for each person :teeth:

cadburysmom Oooh...Wild Dunes is beautiful!! ::yes:: I really wished we lived closer. It is my favorite place, after all :) I practically cried when I realized that since I was marrying DH I'd never live there again until he got out of the service...they closed the Navy base the year we got married :( There are a few things left there, but no jobs for him. Oh well....there's always vacations! Sorry you didn't make it downtown....but you can when you go back :) Everyone I know that's gone to Charleston ALWAYS wants to go back ::yes:: You'd love all the FABULOUS shopping! ::yes:: I'll look around for that cake recipe for you, so you can try it :)

Lewski709 Love your new tag! :teeth: and just adore the picture of Tye at the rodeo...has his new celebrity status changed him much :p Both your boys are SUCH cuties!....and how frightening about the fall thru the bleachers  but so relieved he wasn't injured ::yes:: And sorry you and DH were at odds yesterday...hope everything is good between you now

Cheeringmom The nerve of those people! Moving is stressful enough without having to put up with that kind of stuff....sending PD your way!

llebrekniT Congrats to Daniel! I know you must be proud and I think it's soooo great that your whole family goes to the games to support him.....sure wish I could be there too - the desserts sound sooo yummy and I like pumpkin squares just like your dad, anytime, anywhere! :teeth:

Oh let's talk about pissy. Just got an email from my sons neurologist. Now the insurance company has the lab results, managed to bill me what I owe but the lab never sent the results to my son's doctor!! It would help me to know if they found anything. OK and the aspirin has'nt kicked in!

cadburysmom Found it!!!

Hummingbird Cake
From Southern Living

We couldn't leave out the most requested recipe in Southern Living history. It frequents covered dish dinners all across the South.

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 large eggs, beaten
1 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 (8-ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 cup chopped pecans
2 cups chopped bananas
Cream Cheese Frosting
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; add eggs and oil, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. (Do not beat.) Stir in vanilla, pineapple, 1 cup pecans, and bananas.
Pour batter into three greased and floured 9-inch round cakepans. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks 10 minutes; remove from pans, and cool completely on wire racks.

Spread Cream Cheese Frosting between layers and on top and sides of cake; sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans on top. Store in refrigerator.

Yield: 16 servings

kadaten OMG, thank you! thank you! that cake recipe looks so outrageously sinful and wonderful! :hyper: Well, there goes my diet... ;) :teeth:

Well, I gots to go lie down for a while...still have about a 100 degree fever and feeling kinda woozy.....yes, I know, I'm SUCH a baby when I get sick.....thank goodness Jordan's in Science Camp at school from 9am-4pm all week....just hope he doesn't come down with it either

I still have so much to reply to from last week...but will have to wait til I'm feeling better :(

Enjoy the rest of your morning.....later gators!:wave2:

Cheeringmom, I'd be pissed off too. In fact I'd probably tell that neighbor that since she's responsible for the cleaning people she needs to make sure the utilities are available for them. And since you don't take over the house until the 5th, it certainly isn't your responsibility to pay for the utilities until the 5th! Okay, these hormones have certainly made my fuse really short. You want me to call this nervy woman for you. I've had no problem sharing a piece of my mind lately. And with the mood I'm in this morning she'll be running scared. ::yes::

Ok we need a group hug around here.... <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_28_121.gif' border=0></a> <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/11/11_2_104.gif' border=0></a>
for our sickies OF and CADSMOM, for s&ks'mom and her stupid insurance people, for me and tacky neighbors and for everyone else who just needs a hug.

KADATEN, never been over but been mighty close-thank goodness for pro gear!!! hehehe
