(wish it were sunny, but probably better - cooler - that it's not.)
MIL & FIL's party last night was wonderful. We stayed longer than planned as
ohanafamily felt it only right since it was his parent's party. But we were both zonked and ready to leave a couple hours before we did. Oh well. How many people actually make it to their
50th anniversary, especially these days???
We ended up bringing home some of the flowers - which were gorgeous - because the hotel wouldn't hold on to them, even until this afternoon. They kept my wedding flowers for a couple of days so that I could pick them up and take them to Golden Acres (a home for the Jewish Aged in Dallas) - I dropped off about 20 arrangements to be distributed to the residents. We would have liked to do that with these too, but no such luck. So anyone that was around at the very end was asked to take some home.
ohanafamily got "stuck" transporting his parent's portrait, too. It's absolutely huge - takes up the whole back seat. He's on his way to drop it off at his parent's house right now. Then we have to go pick up one of his aunts that's in from out of town and go over to another aunt's house for a brunch. We won't be staying too long there because they have cats and
ohanafamily is allergic to cats. Plus with his cold and all, just don't want any relapse if you know what I mean.
Guess I'd better go get ready for the day now. (I still have my hair all done up, didn't take it down when we got home cuz I was too tired. Amazingly you can't even tell I slept on it, I guess because of the ton of hairspray in it.
)
