Up now, not really by choice - nature called. And as I was going back to sleep ohanafamily came in telling me his car wouldn't start. It doesn't sound like a battery thing either. So he's called for a tow truck and taken my car to work. Now I have to get dressed and wait for them to haul off Goldie. (I named his car right after he got it.)

Just for the record, it was freezing in the bedroom last night. I don't care what Nephosaurus or ohanafamily say. With the AC on and the overhead fan blowing, even with the blanket on I was cold. But what was worse is that my nose was stopped up, my throat was dry, and I kept getting a tickle in my throat. Each time I coughed my head felt like it was going to explode it hurt so much. (Right now I can't take the dryness that the AC causes and ohanafamily can't handle any humidity.) I will admit, though, I was a complete and utter ***** last night. I wasn't really mad at anyone, just so sick of being sick. You know what I mean?

geffric, so sorry to hear your father is still in pain. More PD headed your way and to him.
Hey [COLOR=FF0033]Pampered Princess[/COLOR], I turned the big 4 0 last year and didn't get to go on a cruise. Okay, so my wonderful DH did take me to Disneyland for a few days, and my sister did come down to spend a day with us. But I had a broken toe at the time. (It was also to get away for another reason which I shan't go into here.)

Hmmm, 4th of July plans??? Nope, we don't have any. Usually don't either. But we are going to see The King and I the night before. I had to change our tickets because our regular night I'll be in Boston.

Women with child cannot be called *******, and don't you forget it, girlfriend. You are WAY SPECIAL for the job you are doing and your comfort comes first. That's just the way of the world.

Lewski709 - QOTD: We will be in Nashville (home sweet home) on the 4th. The girls, pups, and I are driving down on Wed. the 30th so I can soak up and revel being with my mom, then Ed will fly in on Friday and we'll leave Monday. No plans for the 4th yet, except that Kelley insists she WILL be with her friends and not stuck with boring family!

Boy how times change!

I was surprised to see some of you didn't know the term "PG".
Time was, you NEVER said the word pregnant in mixed company! You always said 'expecting' or 'in the family way, or 'PG'. This was the '50's (and earlier) a kinder, gentler time. It was a tad repressed time too!

We need to come up with a safe way for ohanafamily to tell his 'expecting daddy' stories......and for RRBB to do the same. Goodness knows I want to hear them.....but we don't want spouses making each other (or other [color=0066FF]T[/color][color=CC0066]A[/color][color=00CC66]G[/color][color=00BFFF]L[/color][color=FF1493]I[/color][color=FF6600]K[/color][color=FFCC00]I[/color][color=9900FF]N[/color][color=00FF00]S[/color]) hurt or angry.

Well, I'm off to get some coffee.....overslept this am and feeling a bit drugged.....so I need another drug to get to feeling normal....somehow this seems wrong. I bet a little exercise would do the trick......hmmmmm......nah.......coffee.

Some men just don't know how to be nurturing. Believe me, my DH is one of them. I think it was hard for him to realize how very pregnant I was even when it wasn't showing yet. The first 3 months and the last three months are tough. You poor thing, it's bad enough to not be able to sleep but to also have to deal with a horse's *** at the same time.

You will get nothing but sympathy from me and I have no problem setting the men in your house straight whenever need be. There will be no sympathy for them! They need none.

You are always right, if you say it is cold then it is. If you say the food tastes funny then it does. If you say it is too early to get up, too humid to walk, you are too tired to cook then so be it. You are doing a wonderful job, 24 hours a day, all everyone around you needs to do is make you as comfortable as possible and keep their big mouths shut if they don't agree with you.

Honest, I'm not hurt or angry. I was actually laughing at the posts from earlier this morning. I was truly in a bad place last night. You know, not happy that someone else was able to breathe and sleep while I couldn't. But I got a few hours in so I'm in a happier place now. Wish I had time to go catch a few more

. But alas, I have 100+ menus to get working on.

(Oh and another possible reason for my mood last night - I ran out of one color of ink and no one in the city seems to have it in stock. I have to wait until Tuesday when ohanafamily's order comes in.

$11+/ink cartridge and my printer takes 7 of them - each color in a separate cartridge.)

For those of you that asked, this is the cover of the magazine that my layout is in. It's the August issue of Creating Keepsakes Magazine. My layout is on Page 104. It should hit shelves in craft and scrapbook stores early next month.

We are calling our Dads tomorrow. My Dad is in PA and NC Beast's dad is in MD.

MIL called yesterday and after her shock that I was not tying up the phone line for once (dial-up you know )---announces that she gave her notice and retiring this fall.

I almost got to take a spot in their Ireland trip this summer--but one of my nephews decided to work on his grades to bring them up. The nephews were told years ago that once that reached 12, they get to go to Ireland with their grandparents. The oldest went 3 years ago---we spent a week there with them too. The middle grandchildren are going this summer---they had to have good grades too. I was real close to be offered--and yes without NC Beast.

I don't know if the girls will get the same opportunitiy---the next one to turn 12 will be in 5 and the youngest in 8 years. My in-laws are in their mid to late 60's so we hope they stay in reasonable health. Oh, the house that NC Beast grew up in is going to be put up for sale soon.

I think I go back to bed.
