Sure is quiet in here tonight! All the TAGLIARCHY Dads and Dads-to-Be must be having one swell Father's Day!!

DH, unfortunately, is still at sea, so his Father's Day consisted of him calling us a convenient time and DD singing "Happy Father's Day To You" to him.....while giggling, of course.....so she barely got it out But it was cute He'll be home tomorrow and I plan to let him and the kids celebrate by doing whatever they want, as long as I'm not invited! I may even let them celebrate TWO days in a row since that's all he'll be home for....leaves again Wednesday for 2 weeks....so the LEAST I can do is let him and the kids have a lot of quality time together, right?! (can you tell I need the break?!?!?)

Well, as I ate with the kids at 6pm and had a kid-sized portion, I'm hungry again. Going to go scrounge some food....

My baby is gone for 5 weeks. My dh dropped her off yesterday at one of her "camps". She called last night at 11pm and is having a ball. I'm going to be a basket case when she leaves for college in FL.

Danauk congrats on your dh's student's achievements. Wow. 6th in the world?? Amazing!!

[color=CC0033]kadaten[/color] sounds like your dh TDYs a lot. We have been very lucky on this assignment. He goes for a week about every other month. He does try to get some good overseas ones but the bosses always take those. They'll s end him to AZ or something!!

Goooood Morning TAGLIARCHY!

Today is going to be <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/347.gif' alt='Devil' border=0></a> day, trying to get ready for the trip to visit in-laws tomorrow. Electrician coming in the next 20 minutes to check out circuits to be sure no lightning damage from storm that broke my windows, Kelley has ortho at 10:20 and eye doc at 3:00. Katie has a cough that won't go away and her doc wants to see her today before we leave... have to refill prescriptions, type out instructions for dogsitter, clean house, finish laundry, insure and mail airline tickets to a client, pick up dry cleaning, buy Katie a new suitcase (cuz hers died and I forgot it until midnight last night), print out boarding passes after midnight, oh, and I should probably start packing.

I'm gonna be running in circles so fast, I'll probably catch up to myself from behind... not a lovely sight!

Cheeringmom - that's a long time for Sam to be gone... what type of camp is it? Has she done this before? You are a very brave mom! I'm so happy to have Kelley back after just one week. She's already talking about Young Life Camp next summer in Colo and says it's gonna cost $2000. I told her she needs a job!

geffric - hope Dad is better still and I'll be sending PD from California.

Danauk - that's great for DH's student. What is the name of the instrument? My former boss' son just won the regional contest for Hammer Dulcimer, and he's going to Nationals in a few weeks. Since my musical talent equals a big fat zero, I am always impressed with young people who achieve so much.

ILUVTINK...where are your in laws living???? Good luck on your busy day. katie probably has allergies. Same with Lauren. They put her on Zurtec and the cough is gone!!

Sam is at Girls State and then off to Governors School. My baby...whaaa....(best part is that I didn't have to pay a dime!!)

the Dad update.. he is feeling better..had food yesterday. Not sure how his night went...I haven't talked to him this am since the hospital won't let you call before 8 am.. He wants to come home today.. not sure they will let him.. but we have taled to my Mom's ex caregivers to see if tehy can come and help him when he gets home.. let you know one I find out the status.. I am workingfrom home today, so I can run to the hospital ..

Cheeringmom - They live in California on the Hayward fault. We go out for a week each summer ... it is stressful, but fun.

The doc says Katie's nose doesn't show any sign of allergies ... did Lauren's nose look okay or was it an obvious allergy thing with runny nose and watery eyes, too? I wish it was allergies. When something hangs on this long, I start thinking bad scary medical problems.

geffric - glad you could get the same caregivers... helps when it's someone familiar, doesn't it? Kisses to Dad!

she had the a little bit of a runny nose but the cough was the worse. All day and all night. Drove me nuts. I'd have the doc test her on all sorts of levels-x rays the such but also start her on zurtec or something-won't hurt her. plus maybe going out to CA will clear things up if it is allergies. Ask for something for the plane ride-poor baby. now get going!!! we will mis ya

GEFFRIC don't let your dad leave too early. We let my mom talk the doc into letting her leave early but she had a nurse come in for 8 hrs per day (that we had to pay for) and we took over for the night etc. Was hell. Your dad should be almost self sufficinet before he leaves the hospital.

Cheeringmom not sure about the hospital but .. apparently he will be sent home if Medicare says he can go home as opposed to the Doctors.. we had that problem after his surgery last wednesday.. when the insurance said he had to leave or pay the $ 1000 per day himself.. amazing what clout they have.. but we will see..

[color=66FF00]iluvtink[/color] have you thought of food allergies/ I kmow that I always throw this out.. but since my kids are so allergic to certain foods. it is the first thing that has come to mind.. if you want to talk about it, pm me your phone # and I'll call you..
