Have a safe trip. I wish I didn't have to go into work tomorrow. Oh well 4 more weeks to go and then 5 1/2 weeks off.:sunny:

Somebody out there didn't cross their fingers!

cadburysmom - have a safe trip and kiss your dad for me. Wish mine was still here to kiss...

TalkisCheap - I'll still be around a little next week, - my in-laws have a computer --- it's just dial up and trying to stay caught up with posts will make me <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_11.gif' alt='Crazy' border=0></a>. Oh, and the day that toughcookie begs for a tag or kisses up to anyone, I'm going to <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15_1_63.gif' alt='Peeking Over Fence' border=0></a>, cuz it will be the end of the <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_4_32.gif' alt='Earth' border=0></a> as we know it!!! ::yes::

llebrekniT - dang cell phone! If everyone else was as smart and efficient as we goils, we wouldn't have near the frustration or <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_118.gif' alt='Lumpy' border=0></a>. Just wait until you're an old codger like me. The older I get, the less patient I am with thought-challenged people. Why can't everyone be as brilliant as me??? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15_4_101.gif' alt='The Thinker' border=0></a>

gosh, still haven't mowed the yard. must go outside NOW!

Oh, and I'm making Individual Beef Wellingtons with Madeira gravy and salad for dinner. My friend Debbie took her mom and her dad's ashes back to Chicago yesterday and they'll have a memorial service on 4th of July weekend, so her DH is home today... he's coming over for Father's Day dinner, and I have more extras ... so come on up to Yankeeland (or over to Yankeeland for those of you already here!)

iluvtink--I am starving--been waiting for hours for NC Beast to want to have lunch.
He is still under the weather. I think I go out for awhile if he still wants to nap.

I'm baking up a storm right now.....muffins, chocolate chip kahlua cake and three coffee cakes....we're gonna try to eat in as much as possible to save a litte $$$....but I do want to try some of that Hummingbird cake though....shame on you for tempting me! :snooty: ;) :p :teeth::crazy:
Just walk on in and you'll be tempted....to order one of each :teeth: The Hummingbird just happens to be my favorite ::yes:: Have you had it before? It's a traditional Southern cake. I think Southern Living has an excellent recipe for it....got it around here somewhere if you want me to dig it up for you! :)

Hope you have a FABULOUS time! And I must say, the goodies you're bringing sound AWFULLY GOOD, too! ::yes:: I think you should post the recipe for the Chocolate Chip Kahlua Cake when you get back :) Sounds like heaven....:cloud9:

Hey everyone!

I'm at work. I started catching up & got sidetracked by the trip report ibouncetoo linked. I wish I had lotsa $$$ to do some of the things in that trip report. Maybe someday!
I read both of them and WOWSER!! She sure knows how to plan a vacation ::yes:: I'm SO intrigued!! I didn't plan any Special Events during our big family trip last year, as I wasn't sure everyone was as IN LOVE with Disney as I was, and had a hard time asking everyone to pay big bucks for stuff (and there were 20 people so I could NOT afford to treat!) But, since they all had a grand time and want to do it again in a few years....I hope I can pull something like that off....but probably only one! I still have to pay my portion!

Sorry you're at work today, Deadheadbelle! It's such a GORGEOUS day here today!! Only 75º which is heavenly. We had temps of 96º with heat index of 110º on Friday, so we couldn't even leave the house! Too hot for the kiddos :(

But today...ahhh....kids and I spent most of the day at the Botanical Garden with a dear friend who is moving to Italy next month :( He's a member, so treated us to a visit :) Such a wonderful place, and the kids loved it. Think we'll become members, too ::yes:: Would post photos, but I left my battery on the charger on the kitchen counter :( So I have to wait for him to send me some....

Uh.....good luck getting that quickie! I know you DH will cooperate (show me a DH who won't and I'll show you one who is dead!) but, llebrekniT, what will you do with the kids?

Sorry. Had to. Rick wasn't here to do it, so I had to be a good TAGLIKIN and catch this one! :teeth:

Let me get this straight....you're complaining? Is it really that bad?

Sorry. Again. Really, I am. Just can't help it....you set 'em up and I'll knock 'em down! Rick would be so proud!

You know that the TAG Fairy has been read this thread lately---a new tag for llebrekniT will be coming soon---maybe---it would be funny.

llebrekniT ---I hope that you are not mad at us.....tell us if the "quickie" worked---its in your words.

I am so sorry that I could not resist.

I won't buy chocolate for myself today;) ---I promise.

I was thinking the same, but like the sweet and inocent English girl that I am decided not to comment!! But then hey I work with 11 year olds and you would have :o :o at some of the comments that I heard coming from their tents on Thursday night. When did 11 year olds get such dirty minds?!!!??

OK, can I have a slight brag for a second on behalf of my DH? He has a 17 year old student in his music class who is the most amazing keyboard player ever (he plays an instrument similar to a church organ with foot pedals.) Anyway he is already the British champion in his instrument (competing against adults!) Last week he went to Japan to represent England in the world championships (again competing with adults) and he is now ranked 6th in the world!! Not bad for a 17 year old! My DH is quite proud of him right now.

Ok what is this about quickies?? I don't understand!! (or I forgot!!) hehehe

Ok just a sec to pop in. Lauren is decorating the father's day cake! ugh

Anyway, Tom's team won the championship. No goals scored over the two days on their team. Tom is defense!!:D Ok the obsessive mom that I am, I timed on how long he was on the field today. He palyed over 30 minutes out of the one hour game. A lot better than yesterday. He played like a madman. He played midfield one half and almost scored twice!!! heheh so thanks for the advice this am. No wrath on the coach from me!!

Did TINKBACKWARDS get a new tag??

Will try to catch up on posts later. In the middle of fathers day festivities!!! TTFN

That's wonderful DANAUK!! Your DH has a reason to be proud, congrats to the boy!

Congrast CHEERINGMOM!!

I really want to go see 'Finding Neverland' when it comes out. I just watched the trailor, and like always, Johnny is hott :teeth: No matter what role he plays, he's always so hott :teeth: :teeth: ::yes::

I am freaking out! We moved into our new place in March and this is the first time I've been alone since... the girls and their dad went to Universal and my DFiance is normally off tonight but he took on a double shift 2:30pm-7:30am tonight... we live "in the woods" and on top of everything else it's storming VERY bad... ambulances keep going down the road, power is on and off, I know shouldn't be on computer but it's my link to the world... ahhhh! On top of that I can't find any matches and the lighter I found doesn't work (got washed) for my candles... can I move onto the Island, how is the weather there?

doppler_640x480.gif
<~~~ Us right now! We live south of Melbourne... this is from the National Weather Service... "severe thunderstorm warning for: southern brevard county in east central Florida
Until 845 pm edt.
At 745 pm edt, national weather service doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm 5 miles southwest of palm bay, moving east at 30 mph.
Another severe storm near micco will affect grant and Floridana beach.
The severe thunderstorm will be, near palm bay at 800 pm edt near malabar, at 805 pm edt near indialantic at 815 pm edt
Severe thunderstorms produce damaging winds in excess of 58 miles an hour, destructive hail, deadly lightning and very heavy rain. If the storm approaches you, move to an interior room on the lowest floor. "

Of course it has to happen when I'm ALONE! Lol.... supossidly it's over me now... if I get "booted" you all will know why.

Otherwise the day was good... how was everyone else's Father's Day?
