Speaking of hippies, my DB#2, Manny, was born in the heart of yuppie generation (1948?) and was a hippie and guitar player. When he graduated high school, that summer my dad had a great job lined up for him at G.E. My mom still has the "famous" letters from the mid/late 60's that go something like this:

"Dear mom and dad. I have decided not to take the job at GE and instead Kathy and I are driving across the country in the VW bus. I have $36 and spent some of that on a Coleman stove. I plan to work gigs along the way for extra money. We are in Jellystone National Park and heading toward San Diego where I am hoping to land a job in marine biology..."

I have to admit. I'm a bit envious. I have always been so practical.

Ok, I watched Comic Standing last night too Deadheadbelle and I am not going to sugar coat anything......ANT sucked! Why was his bit shorter than billysotherdad, but in now ay cuter? I did laugh a tad, because it was so real but.....he certainly didn't deserve to "get in" for that.

Hmm TalkisCheap... did you remember that I have 13 and 11(almost) year old boys.. being seen with your 'rents is bad but being seen with a girl??? not sure..!!!!..

If i take all the seats out of the van everyone can fit in there too..when we go off property..

are your sons not into girls?? I would think being seen with a PRETTY(if I do say so myself...I lost the mullet ) girls would look good...
