Tagliarchy Island Part 3

Hi all, just dropped by to say hi, and to talk about a bomb that I had dropped on me earlier tonight. I would have left it on the vacation spot, but it worries me, so since that is a worry-free zone, I will vent here....

[adult paranoia]
I had a weird conversation with one of the girls in my office earlier, and with the state of my darling bride, it is bugging me a whole lot. We have a 16 1/2 Year Old girl helping out for the summer, and I have known her since she was born. We had an after work social gathering, and I was asking how her mom and brother are. Her Brother is 15, and her father died a couple of years ago snorkeling in the middle east. At any rate she said that she was annoyed with her 7' tall brother's Girl friend, I thought...OK, how bad can it be, at 15 they just hang out, see a movie, play video games. She said that the girl is always at their house, and they do a whole lot more than kiss. She actually overheard a conversation with him and her mom asking what to do if the GF gets Pregnant  I looked at her quizzically, and she told me I was from another generation!!! (and her mother told him something to the effect of you will be paying child support for a long time because there is no way in heck you are marrying her)

Needless to say, I thought that none of our teenagers are trampy slut puppies like this GF is, and I am thinking forward to if I have a daughter. I think that this is how grey hairs develop.

I know none of our young ones over here would be that way.

Actually, I am sure the look of horror on my face was quite amusing to her.

Sorry for the rant, but I will not sleep well tonight worrying about poor Tag Baby Tigger

Relax ohanafamily ...breathe...you have a long, long time before your baby dates. She or he will know how to behave and will be good. He or she will do the right things. If you have a girl, get a shotgun or a pellet gun and clean it in front of the guy. :p

Ditto to what she said! :teeth:

And not to worry, with you and RRBB as parents, sweet Tag Baby Tigger

is bound to have a good head on her/his shoulders and definitely make GOOD decisions

I have 3 handguns and 2 semi-automatic rifles, one with a 150:1 scope on it, the other with a bayonet.

Funny story, when I was dating (pre RRBB) I used to take the serious ones to the gun range to see how they react (esp the ones not from Texas) the one I was previously engaged to slowly picked up the 357 Dirty Harry special shakily pointed it at the target slowly squeezed off a round, and said "OK, I did it, take me home!" The Psycho one grabbed it off the counter, does an Angie Dickinson pose, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, Boom, Click, Click, Click...Load me up again!!!!! Needless to say when I broke up with the psycho one I was afraid, verrrrrryy afraid.

:bounce:

LoL!!!

My daddy works at a place that sells guns. When Josh and I were goin out, Josh, Devin {heathers boyfriend at the time}, Heather, her Uncle Jamie{Josh's dad}, and Uncle Heath {heather's dad...not really my uncle!!} all came to pick me up from the store to go to a football game. Devin is fairly close to my family {we share the same birthday, almost related, lots more} so he walked right over ot the guns and started talkin to my dad. Josh freaked out, and stood with me, Heather, and my mom for a sec, the finally walked over to my dad!! My dad said "Hey, how's goin??" LoL, Josh just said "good, thanks" in a quiet voice!! He was ready to leave!!! I thought it was hilarious!!!!!
:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Actually, I was with a friend (one of my oldest friends) and we went into a hamburger place that my dad loves at 8:45PM. The owner (who is well known for acting a little crazy) was cleaning his gun, talking on the phone with the police about getting one of his (derogatory racial term withheld) out of jail, he put the phone down pointed his gun at me and said (there are some moments in your life that instantly get etched crystal clear into the memory) "Whaddya Want FAT BOY?!?" I answered "A number 12, Fries and a diet coke. My friend wants a number 2, fries and a regular coke." in a calm manner like this was a totally normal event. My friend was speechless. I payed, we got our burgers, left, and I had to take my friend to his house for a change of clothes. I go there occasionally because my dad loves the place, but there are some things one doesn't forget.

:bounce:

 You should see the look of horror on MY face OH!!!! Now I know why girls shouldn't date till 35 like you said ;) :teeth:

I think I was born in the wrong generation too, then...because that is absalutely aweful. There is a 13 year old in the middle school in my town who is pregnant...well, was. They moved. I think living in as small a town as ours, where everyone knows everyone, and remembers everything, it would make life for her impossible. But still, the thought of being 13 and having a child... I don't want to a have a child till I'm over 25.

:wave2: Well, it's goodnight for this perfect little girl. ;) :teeth: Night everyone!

Relax OF you and Robin will be wonderful parents and raise your child to the best of your ability. Remember, kids that age make their own decisions. The only thing we can do is help guide them to make the right one.

Phew too much OPRAH oin the am for me.

Only a minute to catch up on both boards. The people are out of their house and the carpets will be cleaned today. We are moving stuff into the garge . We have been tearing down furnitue here. Did manage to hire their movers to help us move our huge german shrunk. BB you know how heavy those suckers are. So won't post much unitl after to the move. I'll pop in periodically.

Good morning everybody!

I keep forgetting that we're on vacation.

Going on over to Canada for a bit...

ohanafamily, don't freak out.....yet...LOL! My DH is the same way though. He knew he would be before we even new we were having a girl. The day we found out she was a girl, we were on our way home from the Doctor's appt. & we were driving down our rode & there was a girl about 15 walking along side boy. I said "look, there she is 15 years from now".....he said "yep, & here I am driving along side 'hey guys, how's it going, where we off to tonight' "....LOL!!! Now that she's here, DH says he doesn't know how he'll ever be able to tell her "no". She has him so wrapped. Which is how it should be. I agree with Cheeringmom, though. You raise them & do all you can to make them a good, strong-minded person & then you have to let them make their own decisions. Scary thought, but very true.

Ah! Two of my favorite topics...guns and girls. They just go together don't they? Both are easy to trigger and go off at a seconds notice causing great fear and injury.

Being a fellow southern boy to Ohana, I too have firearms (none with bayonet attached----your crazy man!). I am also a Law enforcement officer in Ga so that makes my gun collection all the more stupendous. The fact that I also have two beautiful little girls makes my gun collection all the more important and useful. Clean your guns in front of the boyfriend...what a great idea. Now if I could only rig up a firing range in the back yard complete with an old junked car that has been torn to hell by numerous barrages of gun fire. Think of my daughters dating life. It would be complete shut down. They are only 6 and 9 now so there is plenty of time to ponder these plans and collect more weapons. Did I mention I have a compound bow as well. The silent killer. A simple note could be attached to the arrow flung through the night air into a nearby tree with the message "don't go there", "I see you", or "this is not a good idea", would be sufficient to cease any unwanted advances.

Sounds like you have the whole Daughters Dating, or should I say Daughters Non-Dating issue all worked out dawgfan. They're doomed to be old maids. Might as well enter them into the convent now.

DH is of the same thinking. He has night-vision, laser and sniper scopes. They'll never see him coming.;)

Good evening all,

Today has been hectic!! We had the summer fete after school today which was mad! We were supposed to have stalls and things outside only we had a storm!! We made quite a bit of money for the school though.

TalkisCheap I think you are very wise::yes:: I'm 27 and have been married for 6 years but the thought of a baby scares me. I guess I just could not cope with something being that dependent on me. I love my kids at school though. Now if kids were born aged 7 that I could cope with!

Oh well, I think I'll pop over to the holiday spot for a bit of RnR.

You're a smart lady Talkischeap. Not that having a child in one's early 20's is a bad thing. Just think your smart for wanting to wait unitl you're an adult.

You've got a good head on your shoulders!

Hey, where is everyone? Still on holiday? I thought I better rescue us from page 3
So what do you guys have planned for tomorrow? I'm not sure as it depends on the weather. Right now I am just watching the big brother live eviction which is really funny.
Oh well I guess I better get back on the party cruise on the holiday.
