BTW, shakers really aren't that hard to make. Unless of course you try something really fancy like I did for my very first one. And I had to make about 15 of them because it was for an AK swap last year. Not only was it my first shaker, but it was also my first swap. Talk about nearly drowning...but I got them done and sent off just barely in time. Now I try to keep things a bit simpler. Live and learn. Anyway, here's what I did for my first shaker...

(and put in that "playing nice" part hoping I didn't upset you posting your name ).....Actually, I've been laughing my bottom off over here....especially when I figured out what you did! Took me a bit because I'd had the page open all day....and thought the others were doing it themselves since my posts didn't show up like that.... HOW you did it, I'll never know...it took me forever just to figure out how to make stuff bold on here!! But it was VERY funny And being a loner ronight, I could use the laugh

That AK shaker is awesome, too!! It certainly doesn't look like a first attempt!! AM I seeing correctly that it's animal and leaf confetti inside the tree? And that shape is perfect...what'd you do...trace that off a photo? WOW

As far as I know, the Disney Store at Crabtree is still open but you can always call ahead and check. It's still hard for me to believe how big Triangle Town Center has gotten. I haven't had a chance to visit any of the outer stores and still get lost inside the mall itself. Crabtree is very close to me so I rarely go anywhere else......I must confess that I don't like malls as a whole......really don't like being in them ......they're kinda like casinos where you spend all your money and never know what time of day it is..

Uhhh, they have much better ones for him... but if you really want, for $30 you can download Fat-Boy as a deskmate to keep you comany... They also have Tahni, Kahli, Sugar and Spice, Dancing Girls, Oska, TeeCee, Maeka, and Johlee.

The cards are free, but they stick those adds. They didn't used to put the adds, so I could send the cards to impressionables... I also liked sending the ones where the girls/guys jump out of cakes.....

I'm with you sista. I wish he'd lose the link or something, but he even got me on their mailing list somehow. YUCK! And what's worse, he's got Tawny (the redhead), Kahli (the blond bimbo), Johlee (3-D redhead), Maeka (with the long black hair), and I just now found out about a few others he wasted money on on his desktop.

I try to limit my time at Crabtree--- I used be there almost every day when I was working there and I avoid it completely during the holiday seasons. I like to walk Triangle when I pick dh from work once in awhile.

OMG....Crabtree is a nightmare during the holidays....and don't even start me on the idiots in the parking lots....it's a complete madhouse!

Thanks. I made a teeny tiny prototype of the tree and thought no problem. Uh, was I wrong. It was tons of tracing and cutting and chalking (something else I'd never done before then). Yes, that's animal and leaf shaped confetti inside, along with microbeads. I'd send you one of those too, but I don't have any extras.

I bought some books today on fitness walking and traiing for 1/2 marathons......gotta get cracking.....dump some tonnage.....move that body....SERIOUS training starts in October!!!!

Ok, before I head to bed, thought I'd update you on our trip....day 2...with some pics! Having the kiddos with us, we spent our second day at Animal Kingdom They LOVED it

We did Donald's Breakfastosaurus after the bus ride from hell (NOT Disney transportation....SOG subcontracts to Fleetwood....well that was the morning of the in-line skating marathon and some roads were blocked....the bus driver didn't know a way around....and didn't know about the closure until we got to them!! 1--poor planning, 2--who hires a bus driver who doesn't know her way around???...so anyway, she just kept going....past AK, past BB, past MGM...past KISSIMMEE!!....way past the Mickey power poles where she finally turned around and missed all the same open exits she'd missed the first time since she didn't know how to use the back roads...argggghhh!!) Got to Donald's one hour late (should have been 5 minutes early) and after hearing what we'd been through, the lovely manager CM put us at the next table rather than behind the 10 tables for 4 who were already waiting So nice and unexpected....we were going to buy the kids something to eat while we waited to be worked in and just see the characters, but he said no, and seated us immediately THAT'S Disney service Anyway, that let us meet Donald but I don't seem to have that picture up yet....

Yes, a nice 'sit down' by the pool with a strawberry dacquri (sp?) seems just the ticket! I can only have one, as I'm still trying to get my strength back from being sick....I'm sure it will put me right to sleep anyway!
