I am really dreading basketball practice for the next two weeks!!! We practice on Memorial Day!!:rolleyes" "eek" {I have plans, everyone in our family is getting together at our lake house, and since I now have my boating license, i'm driving the wave runner!!!! } But I'm gonna go, because if you don't, he'll cut you, or you have to run 40 laps and since i am playing, it is my responsibility to go. Practice on goes from 9:00am-11:30am. we practice for 2 hours, then weightlifting. i think it's ridiculous........and it's MAY/JUNE!!!!!!! We have basketball camp on the 12th-15. I still think all of the practice is unnecessary. we could just practice the one week before camp, instead of two but noooooooo, he wont do that.....i seriously think he has no life outside of school and basketball

RickinNYC --you two look good together. I doubt that my Boston BIL would do that on a public forum even though he has been out for awhile now. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting his latest love...but, this fall I hope to meet him. My MIL loves this one more than the other guys...but she misses the last girl he dated---she is married with lots of kids now. I don't think he has proposed yet to this guy--even though he can do it legally.

I honestly have no qualms. Bear in mind that neither Joe nor I are rainbow flag wavers or shout "We're here, we're queer, get used to it." But we're also nothing but proud of each other. Simple as that. Not a political statement.

Besides, I think we look kinda cute!

Wait... Were you volunteering at Field Day too?

Two hours can sometimes be a really long time.

Supervising 1st and 2nd graders who are running around using jump ropes can make 2 hours seem like an eternity.

Add to the mix that you have a very busy 17 month old to also keep a look after and it becomes an infinity.

Yup, this is definetly the longest day in history.

Um...to be to the point, yes. They have to touch your feet.

A pedicure primer for you non-pedicure going gals out there:

First, if you have polish on, they'll remove it. You sit up in a big massaging chair which you control....ahhh...you can just put your head back and go to sleep if you wish They draw a very warm foot bath and turn on the jets and you soak your feet. They'll put in some cleansers, let you sit a bit, come back and rub some scrubby stuff in, put you back in the bath, more scrubby stuff, back in the bath. Then she'll buff off any callouses and put you back in the foot bath. She then takes them out of the bath, rubs in lots of moisturizers, then wraps your feet in hot towels and lets you sit a few minutes. Then, she comes back to actually do your toenails. Does the cuticles, shapes the nails, does the polish, etc. Notes: Wear pants so you don't flash her while she works on your feet (the massage chairs you sit in are higher than usual so that when she sits on a stool your feet are at a good level to work....so she'll get an eyeful if you wear a skirt.) Also, wear open-toe shoes so you don't muss the polish right when you leave. They give you "spa shoes" which are paper-thin thongs, but if you have to stop anywhere on the way home, you'll look pretty silly!
