cadburysmom---I just put some ear drops in both ears--Jessie might be fighting a low-grade infection...she is getting mild food today and maybe the next couple of days--rice and maybe chicken boiled or ground chuck w/o spices. We have a couple cans of low fat dog food to mix in...yucky smelly stuff that helps her uneasy tummy. I hope she does not go for bees again today.

NC Beast---gets lost in Cary, just about every time we go over there. Maybe he was born to close to the Mason-Dixon line---just kidding.

;) :p

Just was ready to head out the door and got a phone call from PixieMagic....she threw out the idea of skipping a long weekend trip this summer to San Diego...(or just changing it to an overnight trip) so we could UPGRADE the back end of the Oct WDW trip....like to Beach Club
That would be so cool. We're staying at the Beach Club Villas in October. :teeth:

Feel free to rant.....it's good for the soul! I can't see how mowing the lawn is hurting it??? Is the lawn service actually mowing past the property line or is it just her perception?
The property line is at a strange angle and on a hilly area so part of her yard appears to be in mine......when she doesn't cut her grass, it looks like a big wild area in part of my yard

Sending PD to Jessie and her upset tummy.

Did you say you ordered vouchers from the Hotwire Savings Club? I ordered some on Monday and was just wondering when to expect them.

Duh....I told you I was a loser today....

How is Holly? I sure hope this isn't the beginning of a bad stomach virus, poor little thing.....

No, I think her teacher just pushed the panic button a little. As I said there was a stomach bug going around the class and when Holly said her stomach ached, she assumed the worst. She said Holly has never, ever complained one time all year about a stomach ache (which is the common plea for attention among 1st graders) so she took it seriously.

Turns out she was hungry.

Congrats on the win llebrekniT. It truly is a wonderful photo. Looks like something Disney should have done themselves. ::yes::

I had dinner last night at Rock-ola Cafe and they have the best rolls and cinnamon butter...yummm! I didn't even care about the rest of my meal...could've eaten those little buggers all night and nearly did! I bet you and NC Beast already know all about these scrumptious goodies and with no kids, you probably get to eat out all the time! :teeth:

What are these vouchers and how do they work? I've never heard of them in any of my trips to WDW... where have I been?

:)

cadburysmom, are you purposely ignoring my dead rat suggestion because my humor is non-existent??? :teeth:

actually, if her yard looks like it's part of your yard when she doesn't mow, I'd just explain that because of the property line being weird, her yard looks like part of yours, and that it makes your yard look bad when that part isn't mowed. Aren't you doing her a favor by making her mowing job smaller? Maybe if she knows that you know that it is her yard and you aren't going to fence it or claim it or plant a bamboo forest back there, she'll calm down.

So glad it's nothing serious......now if her mother would only feed her......... :p

back to my question.....is it really hurting her lawn if he accidentally mows some of her grass? I'm sure he's only doing it because she doesn't mow as often as she should and it makes my fenceline look uneven when her grass is almost knee high! I really don't want to have another ugly scene with her so please tell me if I am honestly messing up her grass.

Ok, end of rant, she really gets on my nerves and I appreciate you putting up with my complaints ::yes::
I can't imagine that having her grass cut a little bit when your yardman cuts your grass is hurting it any. If anything I imagine she doesn't like the fact that your lawn looks so much better than hers.

Were you like your daughter at that age, llebrekniT? I just wondering--since we don't have kids yet--but, I used to play "hooky" on occasion in grade school. Most of my sick days/early go home days were legit. I was good in middle and high school, but I did hit the max days allowed one semester in highschool. My grandfather died and my dad took my sister and I out for about a week and a half. I missed several days the week before my grandfather's death to bronchitis. The spring semester, my English teacher used my sister's excuse as an example for allowable absence and the whole class laughed. My teacher didn't realize why until she looked at the class list. She was embarassed.

Good afternoon TAGLIARCHY so how is everyone today?
My day has been quite good. The kids finished their testing and as a treat they watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this afternoon so my learning support and I could mark their papers. That way we can give certificates out at the end of the day for those who have improved a lot since last year and those that tried hard. My kids did really well and the boss is pleased with me :teeth: I am so proud of them. Also today the class photo arrived which was taken a few weeks ago whoch also looks great.

But the best thing happened when I got home. I opened the door and was sorting through the mail. There was a note from the post office saying there was a parcel for me so I went straight there and guess what cadburysmom My popcorn and chocolates have arrived!!!! Right now I am typing and eating some Ghirardelli almond chocolate :hyper:

ohanafamily thanks for the techie tip. I can now see StaceyA on the wheel.:wave2:

Well my plans for this evening have changed. I was going to have to do my maths test marking and filling analysis grids but I managed to get it done before I left work. I guess watching TV is in order instead, only there is nothing much on TV tonight so I might watch a DVD instead. I'm not sure what though.

Oh well I guess I had better be going. I need to make dinner soon (after my chocolate has settled!!)

I've explained the property line situation to her about 5 times now and because she's  , sometimes she's okay with it and sometimes not.....and yes, I thought I was doing her a favor......just think she needs something to complain about and I happened to be her target today.

And sorry, not ignoring you, I promise! I laughed at the dead rat suggestion but would not be thrilled about having to be the one who actually put it in her mailbox:eek: :p Maybe one of my sweet TAGLIARCHY buddies would be willing to put down their axe and do this for me?????:teeth:

And you can get meal vouchers and discounted hopper plus tickets from the Hotwire Savings Club. There is a thread all about it either on the Budget Board or Restaurant Board. Hope this helps!::yes::

Never been there--we don't usually eat at places more expensive than Wendy's on a regular basis. When we lived in N. Raleigh, we used to go to Fuddruckers, Benningan's, and Ruby Tuesday's---but, I was employed then at Lenscrafters.

We used to have gerbils while living in the apartment--so we don't mind touching them, but who is supplying the dead rat/mouse?
