What she said...

Welcome StaceyA...

Hey, did anybody notice that the color wheel hit counter reset... because a beautiful, sweet, sexy gorgeous person did something special to it???

Yes, she moved some of the people who haven't posted in a long time to a lower list. This way it is faster to find names... RRBB is sooo very wonderful*...

*Except when she asks me a question over and over, I answer it, but since she doesn't hear the enthusiasm in my voice, she doesn't think I have answered, so she asks again and again until she finally gets upset with me for telling her that she obviously wants it, so get it, I will enjoy it too... but I would not have thought to order it...

BTW, Lewski709, JMHO, but MNSSHP is worth it, lots of young kids in costumes but really short lines. Also, Park admission is included , so if you aren't on an AP, you can go on a "Dead Day"

Ummm, iluvtink, go to the subdirectory that you unzipped the file to, and double click on IE6install.exe (I think that is the name of the file) and it should go from there.....

It's 20.00 less than a regular ticket, I understand. I normally don't go to the parks at 4:00pm <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/29/29_4_9.gif' border=0></a>.

That's when a lot of families begin to leave <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_5_12.gif' border=0></a>, but not this <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_2v.gif' border=0></a> .

Most parks have reduced afternoon rates. I know it would be fun, but more fun with the kids and I'm firm on it.

I'll do those type of things when: a) my family is with b) we get and AP c) when we move down to the area and have an AP.

It's just the way it's gotta be man!

So we're set? I can book? We'll deal with ground transport when we all have arrival time? Or are you holding until tomorrow to then see what we've got lined up?

kadaten I have to call to arrange it, can't do it online :confused3
Arrival 10/9 10am
Departure 10/13 5:15pm
That's what I am gonna try for....how bout you?

Lewski709, No Big, Jelly rolls is fun, but Smoking is allowed, and I can't handle that too terribly long... We will be at the BCV, so we can stagger there from our "Home"...

StaceyA, what I am thinking is that somewhere your computer (or your ISP) is CACHING the page. What this means is that in order for your computer to speed up downloads from a site that is slow, it keeps it in memory so it just has to send you the copy it remembers. If it is your computer doing it, a CTRL-F5 should solve the problem, if it is your ISP, you may have to wait a day or two... sorry...

OK, I liked #4 best on AI tonight... #3 I just think she has a squeaky voice...#1 (I think her name was Jasmine) I think she had a bad night... I hope the people in Hawaii come to her aid, I think she is better than she sang tonight. I stopped liking #3 (Fantasia) a couple of weeks ago when she went for the Baby Points bringing her little girl on the stage. Besides, her voice annoys me. I am not really watching the series, but DW has it on during Dinner...Oh, and last week, didn't Simon promise to sing??? I would love to see that...

Depart Oct 09 Sat N/S ORF-MCO 1219 Depart Norfolk (ORF) at 7:00 AM
Arrive in Orlando (MCO) at 8:55 AM
Return Oct 13 Wed N/S MCO-ORF 864 Depart Orlando (MCO) at 9:00 PM
Arrive in Norfolk (ORF) at 10:45 PM

So I'll get there early and stay late! Actually, I'm thinking of adding a day on the front or back to scout neighborhoods in Tampa....if I can make the flight cheaper, it won't be so bad to stay another night somewhere (on base in Tampa is cheap). Let me check a bit....

Deadheadbelle :wave2: I see you! How is your mum?

ohanafamily you guys go and do the MNSSHP. Like Bichon Barb said, we don't want anyone to skip anything b/c we aren't gonna do it. We can meet up later someplace....what time does that thing end anyhow?

Lewski709, We will go another night, we want to spend the time with Ya'll...after enough Fruity Alcoholic Beverages, we all talk funny... Jelly Rolls, PI, whatever, we are in...I was just trying to 'Splain why it was a good idea...

so, the arrival times would be within an hr...give or take. If you spent an extra day, would you be renting a car or something? If it worked out, we could rent the car at the beginning, have transportation to the hotel and then you'd have the car to go from the hotel. I'm sure you know, they rent cars right on property too. Hey, there's a thought.....rent a car to get to the hotel then turn it in (save $$) and re-rent to get back to the airport.....anyone know.....do they do that, or do you have to drop it where you got it?

If I remember correctly, MNSSHP goes until midnight. Although when we were there a couple years ago we left after the late parade, or at least tried to. The rain started just as the parade finished and within minutes it was an absolute downpour. We ended up spending about an hour in one of the shops on Main Street avoiding the rain and having a late snack. It was kind of fun hiding out in there with everyone else trying to avoid the rain.

Ok...I'm holding flights for the same time, but added the day on the front end since that was the only way to make it cheaper. So I'd get there, rent a car, drive to Tampa and scout neighborhoods all day....stay overnight, drive to Orlando airport in time to pick you girls up and take us all to the airport....so that would be 2 days' rental.

Re: cars....you can drop them off somewhere else, but they usually charge extra for the privilege :( I checked into flying into Tampa, but it's more expensive... I'll check.

Have NO idea how much rental cars go for these days...will ask DFIL...he travels quite a bit for business....or used to anyway until he retired 3 weeks ago :teeth: Now it's all pleasure (like the pleasure of accompanying his lovely wife, DMIL, up here to watch the kiddies while I go to WDW with y'all!! :teeth:)

So I called and they need the Rapid Rewards Account #, DOB of the Account Holder, Address and last date of travel. I call my friend back and he's like holy ****.......I'll call them tomorrow and find out what I need to do. So, I sit and wait, again. He was gonna arrange it for me, but <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_7_1.gif' border=0></a> I can't let him cuz remember <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_8_138.gif' border=0></a> grandma is meeting her demise again for me to be able to go. So, I've told him we are all trying to get flights so close so we can meet and the airport and I need to do it. Well.......it's true.::yes:: Anyhow.....that's the latest.

Now, to <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_11_5.gif' border=0></a>.

Tomorrow is <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_3_101.gif' border=0></a> kindergarten orientation.

Friday is <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_2_103.gif' border=0></a> for a cleaning. Which reminds me, I need to call Dr Dave, the pediadontist, for Grant's cleaning appt.

No more DIS at work. In case you didn't here, I got a call from an IT guy today on the sly. The <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_2_107.gif' border=0></a> has begun but not yet being sent to the "big" <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_2_22.gif' border=0></a>'s. That will be happening soon so <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_1_133.gif' border=0></a> it. It was the nice guy saying, I don't want you loosing your job sweets. I don't think I would, as I said before...I do well and get it done. But regardless, must play it safe to keep the families insurance.

We can help with the rental <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_7_4.gif' border=0></a> costs. Priceline.com it. It is cheapest and we checked on some prices and the cheapest was 17.86/day. I would start on priceline at 14.00.....you can always rebid a day later (you can do it right away, but waiting a day is best). Go up in small increments. 14.25, 14.50....they don't turn a reasonable offer down AND they counter offer. Like I said, 17.86 was the lowest Bichon Barb and I found, just on line and that was like National or Avis.

I am gonna put a ??? out on the Transportation Boards about the lowest fare for Orlando on a rental car via Priceline.com....let's see what kind of responses. K?

I must say, not only do we TAGLIKINS have the best looking families, cutest kids, and most adorable pets on the DIS (if not the whole internet), but we were mighty pretty babies ourselves. We now have 7 entries into the baby photo contest. Keep 'em coming guys. This is going to be lots of fun!!!

(And for any of you not sure about this, I thought I'd let you know. We have pics ranging in age from infant to toddler so get out the old snapshots and find something to submit!)

Hmmmmmmm. . . maybe I can get one to you. ;)
Not sure though.

So, are you gonna list the participants or are we going to blindly have to guess not knowing who did and did not submit a photo?

Lewski I checked the Alamo site since they're the ones on-site at Disney. Even regular prices aren't too bad...

If I picked up on the 8th, did Tampa, then picked up you and Barb on the 9th, then we left the car at the Disney Car Care Center it would be $60....and then picking it up there and returning it to the airport on the same day would be another $30. But, the extra day would be mine to pay ($30) so that would leave the 3 of us splitting $60....for $20 each. A little better than $26 through Mears and more convenient...maybe. Not sure how quick the drop-off/shuttle ballet would be...

I've seen stuff as low as $119 (plus fees and taxes) for a week if we wanted to keep it.

But, I will do Priceline like you suggested and see what comes up! But probably tomorrow....

I forgot to eat. How dumb was that? And I'm starving! So off to the kitchen to find some grub then off to bed :)

Nitey-nite y'all!!
