Go Holly!!!!!!!!!!!!! She sounds like me!! I was always a lot of levels higher than I should be!! In 6th grade, Greg and I both had 12th grgade reading levels!!!!!!! It's really awesome that she is so excited....just pray that she stays that way!!!!

I'm with you. I don't think Hillary is much of a singer & Lindsay is a way better actress. As far as that age goes though, I like Amanda Bynes the best. She is really funny. [COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR] & Holly love The Amanda Show. Have you seen What a Girl Wants? She was really good in that.

Well the inlaws have gone. I like them visiting, just not on a Friday at such short notice when they arrive before DH is even home from work!!

ohanafamily I have replied to your PM

So does anyone have any plans for the weekend? DH has to go in to work tomorrow as there is a concert on and he needs to open up the music department. He doesn't have to stay around for the rehearsal but will go to the concert in the evening. One of his students in an excellent keyboard player and is representing the UK in a world championship contest in the type of keyboard he plays (this kid is good ) So he is trying to do some fundraising to go to the world championships in Spain and Japan. Tomorrow he is doing another fundraising concert and he will record it to sell CD's to make some money. The school are good to him, they allow his to teach keyboards to some of the younger student (he is 17) so he is making some money that way too. I guess I might go too. The area around DH's school is really nice so we could go look around a near by stately home for a while.
Sunday, hopefully the pump will have arrived so I can finish off my water feature and pebble the flower bed. If not I'll buy the plants for the pots and get the pebbles so it is ready to be finished as soon as the pump arrives.

Does anyone have any good plans for this evening? I think I might watch some TV and finish off the bottle of wine I opened last night.

NUTBALL - did you ever see the Parent Trap with Lindsay in it? Holly is hooked on that movie, loves it!

She has always been (listen to me, always been, she's in 1st grade ) ahead of her class. There are two girls in her class that are really advanced readers and they started reading 3rd grade level recently. She's so excited to be catching up to them. I feel bad for her because she is measuring herself up to them, when they are like off-the-charts readers. It kind of diminishes what she has accomplished. Anyway, those two were way ahead of her at the beginning of the year and her teacher said a while back that the way Holly is progressing she would catch them and maybe even pass them up.

Done with the bragfest, for now.

So, should I order Domino's or Pizza Hut tonight?

And I would like to tell my fav. piece of bling-bling. Daniel got it for me for Christmas last year and it is a white gold bracelet with aquamarines and diamonds and I just love it. My 2nd fav. piece isn't very blingy, but I love it anyway. DH got it for me at the Norway showcase shops a couple years ago. It is a white gold snowflake necklace and it very pretty and I always get asked about it. It adds to my love for it that it came from there.

Bob ate a 1/2 carat diamond stud earring. I originally had a normal round, brilliant cut, Tiffany setting diamond on a gold band, plus a single thin wedding band. Well, I haven't worn yellow gold for about 6 years, and that includes my wedding set. So 2 Christmases ago, DH and I decided to reset my ring into something else. I love antique settings, but the only ones we could find already had stones in them...so I got a new one It's perfect...simple style, white gold, tiny sapphire accents, elegant, and different

Other country I'd like to live in? Well, been to England, Scotland, France, and Germany, and loved them all Have always wanted to go to Australia.... For comfort's sake, I'd probably choose somewhere English-speaking, as I'm horrible with languages...just can't pick them up But really, I'd love to try lots of new places

I've just tried to download the smiley central program so I can use those cool smilies but it won't let me download the program. Everytime I click the get free smilies icon it takes me to another page that says 'oops you must click yes to download' only it never takes me to a page where I can click yes to download!! Any ideas what's happening?

Yeah, next May or June...hopefully June as I have to pay for Abbie's preschool whether she finishes or not and they don't get out until mid to late June.

Don't know....where are you going to be Cheeringmom ?? Also, what service/rank/community is your DH? You're in NoVa for schools so I assume you mean Fairfax county? We were in Prince William county, in a neighborhood called Lake Ridge off Old Bridge Road (exit 160 off I-95). Loved it there. Since DH was at Ft. Belvoir we looked in Fairfax county, but we couldn't afford anything we liked and wouldn't live in anything we could afford!! So, bought a new townhouse in Lake Ridge. No schooling to worry about...DH just had a longer commute. But, we did very nicely when we sold our townhouse in Lake Ridge Let us buy a nice big house here in Cheesy-peake
