OOOOOO LET ME BE THE FIRST TO WELCOME Danauk BACK FROM VACATION!!!! HURRY BACK AND FILL US IN ON THE DETAILS. WE MISSED YA!!

WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED HERE LAST NIGHT?!?!?!? IF YOU GUYS THINK THAT cheeringmom AND I ARE GOING TO PICK UP THIS MESS, YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MINDS!!!!

Look at this! There are balloon fragments all over the floor--champagne bottles...what's this Shiraz? And little swords? Must be from the martini's. And somebody pick up all these chocolate wrappers.

Lewski, DH bought the surround sound system after Christmas. My nephew was here from St. Louis. He is 28 and into all that electronic stuff. So they went shopping together and came home with a box of speakers. My family room now has speaker everywhere. Very ugly. They are not allowed to go shopping anymore.

Neph - Na-na-na-boo-boo. :p I stapled my good bags shut!

Mad4mickey - About the cheating. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I've been guilty of skimming too. BTW, cute pic.

RRBB - I love that handshake smilie. :teeth:

It looks like I'm going to be the old lady in October. :( I turn 39 in five days. DID EVERYBODY HEAR THAT? I TURN 39 IN FIVE (5) --COUNT 'EM -- FIVE DAYS!!! Yes, that would make my birthday on THURSDAY. That's APRIL 22ND!!! (I hope I wasn't too obvious about the birthday thing.) Oh, and my 14th anniversary is on the 28th.

DANUAK, welcome back. Please post pics and tell us all about the vacation. It may be the closest I ever get to DWP.

Welcome Home Danauk. So glad to hear you had a good time. I can't wait to see your pics.

Sorry Cheeringmom, the party was rather impromptu so no invitations were sent out. We certainly had a lot of fun, though. Loved the Chippendales dancers and the cute bartender/towel boy (Simon Baker). I think cadburysmom had the most fun with him, kept calling him over to dry her off and bring her MORE drinks.

Sorry for leaving such a mess Bichon Barb. I know I was dragging when I headed off to bed. My head was spinning so I just thought all those balloons and candy wrappers were part of the new decoration. I'll get started picking up as soon as I clear my head. Now where is that aspirin?

OK I've read 20 pages so far so I thought I would share a little more about my trip. The drive took 8 hours plus 35 minutes on the train under the tunnel. Once we got to the hotel our room was not quite ready so we went into Disney Village for lunch and then went for a short walk around the lake that 3 of the hotels were on. At 3pm our rooms were ready and we found that we had been upgraded to lake view which was great.
On Monday we went in to the Studios and MK and decided to try to do the big rides today. We went to the Studios first and went to the RnRC first where there was no wait. Then we saw the Armageddon special effects show and the backstage tour which is similar to the one at MGM. In the MK we made use of fast passes as it was quite busy. We went on Space mountain (very different to WDW more like RnRC), big thunder mountain, Haunted mansion and Indiana Jones backwards. We also did the riverboat ride and some shopping.
On Tuesday we went into Paris. We walked down the banks of the river and saw the Arc de Triumph and the Eiffel tower and then went on a beautiful lunch cruise down the Seine. Then we went to Sacre Coeur (sp?) cathedral where you get an amazing view of the city and to the Moulin Rouge (I took a picutre for CourtasanSatine)
On Wednesday we went back to Paris for a while. We went to the Louvre which was busy. We managed to see the Vinus de Milo statue and the Mona Lisa (behind bullet proof glass with guards around it!) Then we went to Notre Dame cathedral which was beautiful. By then we were tired and as we had a PS for the California grill in the evening we headed back to the resort. DH and I decided to have a look around the studios for a little while first. The meal was excellent and the restaurant is very different to the one at WDW. It is theamed as a victorian restaurant with a view down main street to the castle.
Thursady we did a little shopping then went back to the MK to do other rides. We went on it's a small world, pirates of the caribbean and had lunch at the restaurante there, then did the Alice in wonderland maze and the story boat ride then Star tours. In the evening DH and I headed back to the Disneyland hotel for a cocktail in the piano bar which was really nice.
Yesterday we went into the MK for a while, did a circuit on the train and had lunch before we drove home. At the tunnel we went into one of the wine warehouses and got a few bottles of champagne as it is so much cheaper there and then we drove back home.

DH has just put the pictures on to disk so I will post a few later.

On with the washing....:wave2:

Birthday? Did I hear someone say birthday? I think we're gonna have to plan another party. ::yes:: And because there's notice we'll send out invitations! So Bichon Barb, who do you want to invite since it's your special day?

Good morning guys.

Look, there's chatty and then there's just plain 'ol freakin' blabbering!

I haven't even begun to try and catch up, since when do we do 10 pages at night? Huh?

Not happy about this, hope danauk showed up last night, really not looking forward to giving her a recap of it...

Not much I can do about it anyway. The phone rang about an hour ago and the caller ID showed it was the local hospital.

Immediately I thought it was my dad, who's been suffering from leg pain and will NOT go in to the doctor.

It wasn't it's my DMIL. She started having intense pain in the middle of the night. Took her to the local hospital ER.

Well, in the amount of time since I started typing this post, I've found out that she's had 4 shots of Demarol and is still feeling it. They contacted her surgeon and he wants her transported to his hospital in Lexington (about 20 miles). So they have to take her in the ambulance due to the IV's for the pain med.

I'll try to pop in later with an update. Keep her in your prayers for us.

Wow, sounds like a wonderful vacation Danauk. I know we would have loved checking out DLP this spring but everything was just so crazy expensive. Maybe one day we'll make it there.

OMG, hugs and PD to your family and especially DMIL llebrekniT. What a way to start the day. I'll be thinking of y'all.

I just read throught the last page real quick and I see that danauk is back.

Welcome back!
I have been keeping up with some of the posts for you. To save you a little time, here are the first two days:

on a different 'puter sorry no color..

Morning... welcome home Danauk

PD and prayers for your family Tink backwards

Let's see what shall we do for Bichon Barb's b'day and anniversary.. Hmm.. wild pool party? Hot Tub hotties? a real Kegger? or... a surprise trip to...

Let's figure that one out over breakfast... let's meet at the Poly and go for Tonga Toast and coffee.. see ya there in an hour??

Thanks fot the day 1 and 2 recap llebrekniT PD to your MIL I hope she is better soon.

I'm just trying to figure out which pictures to put on to the internet to share (I took quite a few!!) I forgot to say earlier when I got home last night there was a message on my machine inviting me for a job interview on Thursday. I'm not sure what chance I stand but I will do my best.

Hey Bichon Barb if we are having a party I can bring the champagne, I bought a case yesterday at the wine wearhouse (after all we were in the champagne region and it is only right to support local industries when visiting other countries isn't it?!!)

Back to load of washing number 3!!

TINKBACKWARDS please keep us updated on your DMIL. Where is the pain? And do what you have to do to get your dad to see a doc. Clotting can happen very easily. My dad suffered a stroke b/c of clots in legs. Dragging is a good way to get him to the doc.

BTW, pretty funny recap TINK. You are just like an editor of a reality show. You take things so out of context ie: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hehehehe

Sounds like a great trip DANAUK. Paris is one of my favorite cities. When we went to see the Moulin Rouge and old french lady came running up to us and told us in "sign language" to watch our bags, wallets etc. Bad neighborhood. She was right. There were gypsy kids everywhere.

BB is turning almost 40- do da do da!!! You are a youngin. I'll turn 40 in July OMG!!!

Thanks for your pity,RRBB, I've been reading for 5 pages and I think I've got about 5 to go. I popped in for one minute last night, only to discover we are a clique, and then I had to go. The hottie was just that ... a hottie! Is he still around? I never saw The Guardian either, but no matter! I can still drool with the best of them.

Back to reading...

oh, and good morning. By the time I get to the end, if no one has made breakfast, I'll whip something up if Simon is still around and will help.:p

How about a Luau complete with a wappatula (sp?). Remember those? When you'd go to a party, and everyone would bring a bottle of something, and you'd dump it into a big, brand new trash can, and add some Hi-C. Then everyone would throw up pink stuff later on.

:worried: :guilty: :( :crazy2: :faint:

Really, I was a good kid. Honestly.

How about a toga party?

Cheeringmom, when in July. My DH turns 40 on July 3rd. :bounce:

Gonna go mow the lawn for the first time this year. :Pinkbounc It's supposed to be sunny and 73 today, but I see rain clouds coming in. :(

Be back in an hour.

Lewski709, you? Naaaah! I don't believe it.

Hey, and I am crushed that you can't DIS at work. I was going to suggest you get another job, but I thought that might be too forward! :)

okay, back to reading.... again... only 3 more pages, only 3 more pages...are the Chippendale boys still here???

llebrekniT, OMG, I hope your DMIL is OK, and since your DFIL will be at the hospital anyway....

Danauk, we missed you, good luck on the interview, and I would love to hear more about DLP. We almost went there this year, but at $1000 a plane ticket plus everything else... and, you know how bad the exchange rate is on the $$ now...

OK, I have been good. I have not opened any of the sealed bags to see what is in them. there is even a gitwrapped package for Danauk.

For those who missed it, HuggaBaloo responded to an e-mail of mine saying that he has been very buried at work and is unable to complete the swap at this time. I replied that Tigger Fans! volunteered. A couple of you have told me that there are non-Tigger Fans! items in your HuggaBaloo bag, I am being (not wanting to re-read 100 pages) visually challenged. Since I cleaned out my PM box (or you can PM Nephosaurus) if you would do me the honor of telling me again (in a PM) what your wishes were... someone (I think it was llebrekniT, or was it Cheeringmom) said I had a unisex thingy and I should change it for the male thingy?

One person put names on all of the cards...I hope Tigger Fans! won't mind a postcard to HuggaBaloo...

Oh well, gotta get back to work....

Oh, did I hear 30th Birthday, or was it 40th?.....

Later Dudes and Dudettes...

:bounce:

Wow, I thought at first you are complaining and moaning about being the old lady, in general, rather than at your trip that I wanna take but can't. Ruffled my feathers, it did... cuz if you are the old lady, what does that make me ... Grandmother Willow???

But since you are just talking about the trip, okay. And if no one has done it yet, let me be the first to wish you a <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/13/13_10_1.gif' alt='Birthday Balloons' border=0></a>, as well as a <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/308.gif' alt='Happy Anniversary' border=0></a>. I can't remember 39, by the way, so watch out and hang on to the short-term memory <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_6_13.gif' alt='Brain' border=0></a>from here on out!

okay, back to reading, back to reading... and if you aren't done cleaning up, Bichon Barb and Cheeringmom, I'll be happy to help. I guess that's what I get for missing the party.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_2.gif' alt='Teary' border=0></a>

OK, something must be wrong wit this computer... I left for 10 minutes and there wasn't a new post!!!!!
;)

:bounce:

Phew, I'm all caught up... but now I've forgotten what I wanted to say to who...

First, lots of prayers to llebrekniT and Deadheadbelle for your family. I hope we get good news soon.

Tigger Fans! - welcome to the swap. I think I may have put HuggaBaloo's name on my post card too. Please white it out and write in your name!

Danauk - Welcome back, and thanks for taking time already to re-cap your trip. I was a French major in high school, and a visit to Paris has been a dream of mine for a long time. Can't wait to see your pictures! And llebrekniT's method of re-capping is a hoot. Obviously proves we deserve the designation of a clique, huh? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_17_208.gif' alt='We Are Not Worthy' border=0></a>

Bichon Barb, the luau sounds fun. Just don't let me drink any Jack and Coke, or you will all be sorry! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_7_6.gif' alt='Blurry Drunk' border=0></a> Oh, and if you decide on a toga party, I'm gonna need a BB sheet. Got an extra?

ohanafamily, I think everyone's over at the Poly, nursing hangovers and eating Tonga Toast. See you over there!
<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/168v.gif' alt='Feed Me' border=0></a>
