I'm going to go pick around with the phone wires inside the wall. What've I got to loose?

Later!

I'm still catching up, but I had to ask about this. Are there little kiosks around WS for this festival. Please explain! :hyper: Maybe we won't do a former dinner that night. Do you pay at each booth? Or is it a one time fee?
Oh yes! Oh yes! Oh yes!

There are something like 50 (?) extra country booths spread all the way around the lagoon!! Each one has 3-5 items...usually an 2-3 entrees and 1-2 desserts, along with beer and/or wine...all are appetizer-sized portions so you can eat from ALL of them if you so choose!! You pay for each item at each booth....ranging $1-5, though most are $2 or $3. What we do is start the day with a roll of ones....we're done when we run out of money or burst at the seams....whichever comes first :teeth:

Thus why during the F&W festival tied with Christmas for my FAVORITE time to go!! Just skip Epcot on the weekends as it's VERY popular with the locals!!

llebrekniT, Sounds like it may be easy to fix...here is what might have happened. When you took off the face plate one of the wires jumped off the screw holing it in. It is all low voltage, so it can't hurt you.

Take off the faceplate
look to see if any of the long wires aren't hooked on
(there should be 4 wires screwed down.)
re-secure the one that came off...

If you want, Call me and I will talk you through it.

Chances are when you put the cover back on a wire slipped off, and is touching another wire...

I think you can fix it....DH should be able to figure it out as well...

:bounce:

Forgot to say "Hi Y'all!" when I came in, but I just had to tell Barb how great the F&W Festival is!!

Glad we're rounding up all our "lost boys" (and girls)!

DH will be home tonight for all of 15 hours before he leaves tomorrow for Germany for a week. Luckily, the kids have been ok so they're still here...no need to call the gypsies....yet :teeth:

Moved to Baltimore, MD - had the most beautiful home ever
Moved back to Raleigh, NC -close to family where I belong:teeth:

When were you in Greenville? My DH spent 1/2 his childhood in Mauldin, SC....where he graduated from HS (1991) :)

We've also lived in DC area, his mom's from Raleigh, and his dad's family is from all over NC....small world (or South, anyway!!)

ohana, you're an electrician, too! what a handy guy to have around! RRBB, you are one lucky chickie! I was worried because you said you got all of your PMS out of your box. I didn't know guys had that problem, too! Eat some chocolate and that will help!

cheeringmom, I love Clay, too. He was my pick from the very first week. (I also guessed today at Michael's that DD15's scrapbooking bill would be $47.82 and it was $47.53!!! I need to enter the Ohio Lottery today, I guess.) Ooops, back to the subject at hand... I would like an invitation to the wedding.. What do you think he will sing to Sam???

llebrekinT, when Danauk gets back, are you going to post your summary or PM it to her? I hope you will post it ... it would be fun to read!

I'm going down and locking myself in the chocolate vault for a while. My girls say I'm grumpy.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_48.gif' alt='Candy Bar 3' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_48.gif' alt='Candy Bar 3' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_48.gif' alt='Candy Bar 3' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_48.gif' alt='Candy Bar 3' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_48.gif' alt='Candy Bar 3' border=0></a>

OK, I have a question... I think the point is mute because there are ne direct flights from where they are at...

It was a nice thought...
Don't they let kids that old do connecting flights? They'd still escort them, but I think when they're over 9 they let them do connections? Maybe not....

Anyway...that was SUCH a nice thought! What a GREAT uncle :)

No time to chat.. Just popped in to see if anyone wanted to pat me on the back.

I figured what had happened was one of the wires probably came loose, so I took the plate off again and one of the little wires had actually broken!

I spliced the wire and made a new little hook in it and it's all good as new now!

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/5/5_3_1.gif' border=0></a>

Did I ever tell you guys that when I was 15 I wired a phone line up in my room and my parents knew nothing about it?

What can I say... from an early age I was told that I was exceptional and advanced.

Hey, if cheeringmom can come in here and be all "look at my hair, look at my tiny belly", surely I can toot a little too.:teeth: (Horn, toot my horn. Bet you guys were thinking of something else....)

Oops! Just had a thought! Who will watch over us while ibouncetoo is away!

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_13_7.gif' border=0></a>

Gotta run, I'll catch up on posts tomorrow! Hope danauk is back safe and sound by then!

Congrats on your electrical prowess!! Isn't it nice to be able to fix things yourself!

That said, you wanna come put in an extra outlet for me? I replaced my thermostat but running a whole new outlet is beyond me....and DH is scared of electricity :)

QOTD: I grew up in MD-born in Cheverly, MD (just outside of the DC), raised in MD (about 1/2 hour south of Annapolis), transferred to UMBC in 1993/ Baltimore where I was hooked up with NC Beast in 1994 (he was a grad. of another college by then-blind date by one of my classmates, after I got married- moved 7/1996 to Alexandria, VA, moved to Raleigh in 1/1998 Super Bowl weekend, moved to Wendell in 2002, who knows when we will move to FL :).....

NC Beast--he was born and lived in Baltimore, MD from 1970-1995, lived in several No. VA locations until 1998, see mine for the rest of the story

We have dial up right now---we are going to someday upgrade, have a second computer, router, hub...whatever-----okay we want to compete/play games against each other.

Oh... The Phone company usually charges $100 here...to install a new outlet, or you can buy an extension kit from radio shack for $8 if you don't mind the wire on the floor...

But ohana if she had another phone jack, she wouldn't have to run for the phone if it rings in another room! Yeah, yeah, she can carry the cordless around, but some of us are forgetful...and need a phone in (almost) every room!

WEll, DD is up from her nap and telling me to "stop pushing all those buttons....get off the computer" so I must go and tend to her :)

OH...Lewski and Barb
DH just called from the airport to tell me he's going to be late. He took a bump and picked up a free ticket! What did I say? "Great! I can use that to go to Disney in October!!" :teeth: See, I'm thinking all the time....

Now, DD wants to type some....here she is at the tender age of 3...

Ok, we're going now. You did see she typed her name on that last line...I'm so proud!!!
