Good morning everyone. ohanafamily, my dear sweet husband, let me sleep in this morning instead of dragging my big butt (yes, I'm admitting I'm a member of the club) out of bed to workout. I swear I didn't even hear the alarm clock go off - any of the 3 times. Well next week I have to get back to moving. With all the sitting I do these days just trying to keep caught up...

Thanks for the gourmet breakfast geffric. It was absolutely delicious.

RickinNYC, pay no attention to ohanafamily. He loves to give everyone a hard time. Trust me, I know from lots of experience, that he really means no harm. ;)

I know I missed some QOTD. Here are the ones I can remember.

QOTD: Born in Dallas, grew up (elementary - high school) in Dallas, started college in Dallas, spent a semester of college in London, came back home and commuted to Denton for some of college, transfered to Arizona to finish college, lived in Tucson for another 6 years after college with job, moved back to Dallas after got laid off, lived here ever since - though did lots of travelling for work and even had an apartment in Tacoma, WA for 15 months and commuted back and forth every week.

QOTD: ohanafamily and I have talked about getting a retirement home/moving to Celebration, FL. I really don't think it will ever happen, but it sure is fun to "plan".

QOTD: Not sure I have a favorite restaurant to eat at in Epcot. We've tried lots of places. We usually have at least one meal at Garden Grill, mostly for their salad. Nieceosaurus and Nephosaurus particularly like the "Dirt" dessert. The place I like least there, and really don't want to go back again, is the restaurant in Norway. I've eaten there three times only because it was with different people each time and they wanted to try it.

Hey, were did everybody go? I come out to play and everyone decides to leave? Did I do something to offend?

Well I guess I'll just go play with all the swap stuff.

Well even if she's not an axe murderer, I know she'll have a sharp pair of scissors with her. But then so will I.

QOTD: Born in Toledo, OH. Lived in Temperance, MI until Junior high when I moved to Georgetown, KY. Lived in Lexington while attending University of Kentucky, moved to Athens, WVa. to finish college, then moved back to Georgetown, KY with my parents (dad called me a boomerang kid). Moved back to Lexington after DH & I got married 6 1/2 years ago.

QOTD: If I didn't have extended family that I care about, I'd move to Maui. DH & I fell in love with it on our honemoon.

Which brings to mind my new QOTD - If you had to move and could live anywhere you wanted, where would it be?
UH Florida....which remind me....I checked DH's email for him last night since he doesn't have a computer with him and found out that

We're probably moving to Tampa next year!!! WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

His detailer (job assigner) said there is something available at one command there (his 2nd choice) and is checking on one at his first choice!! WOO HOO!!! Can you tell I'm excited?!?!?!

That's GREAT news kadaten. I hope everything works out the way you want. ::yes::

QOTD: Grew up on the North Shore about 20 minutes from Boston. Still do and really like it but they are doing to much building. DH and I were just talking about hoping to invest in a retirement place in the next few years. I would love Florida.

RickinNYC???

Clay Aiken is MARRIED? That boy sets my gaydar off the charts!

QOTD: I think I may have said this many moons ago but here it is again. I was born on a Naval base in San Diego, lived there one year. Moved to Peabody, MA for a year. Then Boston, MA for 6 years. Then Yokosuka, Japan for 6 years. Then Orange Park, FL for 4 years. Stayed behind at UF for a year when my parents moved to upstate NY. Didn't live much where my folks lived in upstate, I worked on campus when not in class so spent 4 years at Stony Brook on Long Island. Moved into NYC and have been here since '89.

QOTD: To military brats, home is where your yearbook is so I'd like to move back to Florida. Not just becuase of WDW, but because I miss it so much.

QOTD: We've eaten in just about every Epcot restaurant, not sure which one is a fave. We've never tried Canada and China. Interested in Canada, but not China at all.

QOTD.. grew up in Chicago, college at U of IL in Urbana, lived in Kansas City for 5 years, and now back in Chi in the NW suburbs..

DH and I have been talking about living in FL.. when retired. He wants to take all of the LEGO pieces that we have, and find the instructions to them and spend his time building the sets for the grandkids/ or himself..

I want to sell DVC on the Magic or work in the nice air conditioned shops at OKW..

Uhh, geffric, that's my retirement job... BTW, Cruise DVC Sales posts are rotational...I think I would really enjoy it...

OK, I have an official announcement to make......

I just got an email from HuggaBaloo!!!!!
He says that his job started earlier than expected, it is crazy, and that he really wants to be in the swap but is unable to at this time. I responded by telling him that Tigger Fans! will gladly take his place in the swap but he needs to get his Big Butt over here and check in!!!!!

Nephosaurus
, did I do OK with the anouncement...I'll PM Tigger Fans! with the swap address...

Oh, I also told HuggaBaloo that there were some personal items for him, and we still wanted get-togethers during Tag Trips...

Welcome to the swap Tigger Fans!

geffric - so many of my friends went to U of I, including my first love! When were you there? I think they were all probably graduated before you were out of elementary school at least, but I thought I should ask.

kadaten - great news about Tampa! I'm just a little <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_10_15.gif' alt='Green' border=0></a> with envy, although I really would totally despise the prospect of packing up all of our stuff again.... what a chore! I'll have to live in Florida vicariously through you!

RRBB, I must have missed something. Why are you going to Boston? Fun or business? I'm glad you found a good, non-axe murdering roomie. Oh, and I agree about the Norway restaurant... one dinner there was enough for me. Too much cold <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_5_41.gif' alt='Fish' border=0></a> and stuff for me.

Welcome back to HuggaBaloo, whenever you finally stop by! Have some Graeter's ice cream on me!

Okay, I am really and truly going to #!#$ work now. must leave the computer, must push back chair and lift rear, must grab keys, must go to garage... oops, I'll start over, must leave the computer...

Ooops, I forgot QOTD-

(it is The University of Texas in Austin for those of you who don't realize it) Went to a 7 month trade school in Santa Monica CA, Back to Dallas. I have travelled a lot, and been to Disney a bunch in the last few years...

But all of that is moot. During the F&W festival the best thing to do is circle around WS, eating appetizer portions at the 50 (?) or so extra walk-up booths, getting appetizer sized desserts, and half-sized wine/beer all day :) The BEST place/time to become a glutton!!

I'm still catching up, but I had to ask about this. Are there little kiosks around WS for this festival. Please explain! :hyper: Maybe we won't do a former dinner that night. Do you pay at each booth? Or is it a one time fee?

Just heard from Kismetdreams, I hope she doesn't mind being quoted...I asked her to stop by and say Hi when she can...

I'm soooooooo sorry that I have been gone and am late on the swap, I feel horrible about it. Work went crazy this week and as I run the shop, I haven't been able to get online or get out to finalize my swap stuff. I promise that I will get it out tomorrow in the mail and I will do the quickest shipment I can afford. Please apologize to everyone for me, this kinda all happened at once, I can't really catch up in the thread right now, but I will try this week and I WILL have the shipment out tomorrow!

Thanks for the mail and sorry I didn't get a chance to post before now. I have to go back to work (we had PT this morning, so I came home to change and head back out).

Send hugs to everyone, :)

Bichon Barb, yes. there are lots of little booths everywhere selling samples. There are wine tastings etc You can look online for events, or call DTA...

:bounce:

Darn. I forgot all the things I was going to reply to.

Anyway, I can't believe my package isn't there yet. I didn't think it would take this long. Stupid me. I shouldn't have sent it parcel post. Anyway, let me know when it arrives please.

Better go. Kids should be calling me soon to pick them up from the movies.

Oh QOTD. That is a tough one. I could have lived in SE Florida, but I wasn't crazy about it. I don't think my politically incorrect personality would allow me to live on the west coast. ;)

It would be nice to live near my sister, but I wouldn't want to live in Atlanta.

Hmmm, I guess I'd like to live in Kadaten's part of town. My brother lives in Norfolk, and I love the ocean. ::yes::

I've told Rob that maybe we should retire early and just sell hotdogs on a beach somewhere. The simple life. Yeah...

Definitely for FUN!!! I'm going to another CKU (Creating Keepsakes University). They hold them several times during the year, always in a different location. The only repeat location is the August CKU which is always held in Provo, UT. I'm actually thinking about signing up for the "Masters" program, too, that's being at the end of August in Salt Lake City. I guess I'm what you'd call a CKU junkie or something. :hyper:

NO NO NO! llebrekniT got confused about what I said and has started a new Clay Aiken rumor......what I meant was that the only other Clay I knew, besides Clay Aiken, was a goodlooking, super hot married man and I'm friends with his wife so he's definitely not available. I did NOT mean to imply that Clay Aiken was married....and I believe RickinNYC's 'gaydar' is right on target when it points to Clay Aiken. That boy wears more makeup than me!

Sorry about the rant....had to fix the computer this am and couldn't check in with you guys until now....

....I also had little too much Merlot and not enough Advil before I hit the pillow last night so I'm slightly hurting....I was definitely 'uglified' during the night...be happy this is not video...very frightening.

But on to funner things.....RRBB YES! Jordan and I would LOVE to have a mini Tag meet with you and ohanafamily! We have a PS at O'Hana's for 8:40pm on May 30. The fireworks are at 10pm so the plan is to leisurely snarf tons of yummy meats on a stick, suck down some pineapple and then out to the beach to watch the show. Please join us! (Hopefully the hair will look better by then and you won't be scared off):teeth:
