I did not mean to sound snobbish, but I always (OK, I live with the queen of over-preparedness who, when we went on the 7 day cruise had a 2 inch thick book with everything that was going to happen and even the menus for each night) let my DW research what is going to happen when I make the reservations. One of the main reasons we picked that time was because it was during the food and wine festival.

We got 7 swap packages tonight, and I don't think we have enough room to keep them....(just kidding...) [COLOR=CC0000]Mad4Mickey[/COLOR], 2 of them were from you, but the bigger one wasn't sealed...We will check to make sure everything is in it...BTW, you now hold the distinction of the biggest (and heaviest) box so far...After we get the names off of the packages we will post whose have been received. I know that [COLOR=33FF00]Depplyinluv[/COLOR]'s mother overnighted hers today, and CourtasanSatine will be sending it on Monday. I still haven't heard from HuggaBaloo, but I will wait until we get our packages tomorrow night before make any offers to colorful people...everyone else has responded...

OK, I have to pry RRBB away from the apprentice...just a few more minutes before we check the swap packages in.

My best friend, after she got married, bought a house 2.5 blocks from her parent's home and it is such a wonderful set-up! I get jealous every time I'm there! Her mom watches her son while she works part-time, can come over to let the dog out if she's going to be home late from work, can walk over to get the mail when they're out of town, etc.....and they do the same for her parents (well, except the baby-sitting part!). Her parents are respectful of boundaries and never come over without calling (although they're always welcome to) and it works out great for them all. When her mom was going through chemo, my friend went over every day to check on her before/after work and it was never an inconvenience since they are so close! Oh to live that close to family....

QOTD: I don't live where I grew up. Born/raised in Lexington and Columbia, SC, and hadn't moved since I was a baby. THEN I met/married DH and we've moved 5 times in 8.5 years!! YIKES!! The first two were a little difficult, but I've gotten used to it and now get kinda stir-crazy after about 18 months....by then I'm ready to decorate another house!! But leaving friends/family/places you know continues to be hard

The F&W festival is one of the main reasons we like to go in October/November! Only DH will be at sea for the month of October and our annual pass expires Nov 1 and if we don't get orders to FL we probably won't renew....so I REALLY want to go in October....hoping I can swing a trip with you guys!!

As for touring plans, we usually do a lap around WS for lunch when it opens, snacking and drinking along the way....do some favorite rides, rest up for lap #2....dinner, dessert, and drinks until Illuminations!! We go home STUFFED but happy

When is it? No....I wish!! I'm already getting (welcome) peer pressure from some unnamed Taglikans to join their trip in October....that's already one trip more than I had planned on paying for this year! Well we used to live in JAX and went down for date night a few times a month and about every 2nd or 3rd Saturday...do all those count separately? Or are you just meaning trips involving staying overnight?

[COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR] I forgot to answer your question about Ohana's. Our PS is at 8PM and Wishes is at 8:30P....we watch the fireworks from the restaurant. They dim the lights and pipe in the music...it's very nice! We'll check in a little early and tell them we are willing to wait for a table by the window (there are several tables for two right up against the windows)...it's worked the two other times we've done it!

So, here's my schedule......so you can all imagine what I'm up to while you are missing me sooooooooo terribly!

Sat 4/17 fly to Tampa/get car/drive to the Gaylord Palms. Spend the evening having drinks and appatizers at each of the four restaurants! Pass out

Sun 4/18 Hot tub then breakfast at House of Blues for the Gospel Brunch. Then SHOPPING, DTD, Outlet malls and grocery. Buy my annual pass !! Check in to POFQ. Sunday evening, meet katypop and (hopefully) amymouse at the lounge or poolside.

Mon 4/19 MK...Crystal Palace 11:30am early lunch
Epcot...Dave Jones performance

Tue 4/20 PS at Ohana at 8PM

Wed 4/21 PS at Bietergarden at 7PM

The 4/22 AK 5th Birthday Party!
PS at Boma 8PM

Fri 4/23 Breakfast probably at Fresh. Drive to Tampa and fly home.

Sat 4/24 check in the the TAG FAIRY and read 800 pages of chit chat!

All that open time is for park meandering, water mice racing, bike renting, hot tub soaking, enjoying Flower & Garden festival at Epcot, shopping, AND taking my first trip into the TOWER OF TERROR!!!!!! Think I'll save Mission Space for October

Just realized I need to head to WallyWorld and get some cat food and litter so Acoma is all stocked up and ready for her aunt [COLOR=660099]TiggersPal[/COLOR] to take care of her. Suppose I should get the suitcase out of the closet too!
