So Deadheadbelle and Tigger Fans! you want to know about how I acquired Song of The South. I will start by saying that I ordered one from that link and was very disappointed with the quality. I was told by many people that they have great quality...Not the case The sound was good, but the video looks like they stuck a camcorder in front of a TV screen.
I have a friend that has lived in the Far East (Korea now Hong Kong) for over 10 years. We used to go out on Sunday Mornings for Dim-Sum (Kind of Japanese appetizers for breakfast that they push around on carts---How is that for an explanation RickinNYC?) One morning I was walking back to my car, in front of a Japanese video store, and I went in to look for Anime'. I saw an imported laser disk with Uncle Remus on the cover. I checked the cover and it said it had both English and Japanese sound tracks. $80.00? I think you know what treasure I found...Not going to say how badly, or what I would have given for, this disk. The Video is really good, but the sound is in Mono (left channel is English, right channel is Japanese) Also the songs are in English with Japanese sub-titles...
So, Yes I have a legitimate copy of Song of the South. I thing Disney shut down a bunch of the people who were bootlegging them.

RRBB - the mac n cheese dinner was great, because I didn't have to cook it!!! The Graeter's ice cream afterwards was even better. In fact, it was

The sweetest thing was that Katie wants to re-decorate her room and wants it to be all blue with stars and clouds, etc., and her BS, Kelley, actually wanted to get her bedspreads, etc. and paint her room to surprise her. This is something special for a BS who doesn't always like to hear her LS breathe!!! So, we went and bought some comforters at Penney's and Kelley made 4 pillows out of "nighttime stars" material to give to her! Katie was surprised and thrilled. Made my heart thump.

NC Beast got written approval---We are going be there May 30-June 4. We still are fixing reservations--
Jessie's reservation at the Canine Country Club has to be changed.
We are not
anymore....I got worried when I picked up NC Beast this am, because he looked to cheerful for someone getting reprimanded and being told to change WDW plans.
On the way home--I took an alternate route to avoid the road construction---it is what we think Test Track might be like. A cop turned on his lights and was crossing into my lane, head on, and barely missed us.
Adrenline rush---who needs coffee in the am with that.

I thought it was like an old WDW commerical where this woman pushes a baby and having a young kid at her side in an elevator. The kid talks to the stranger in the elevator and said that the baby was the souvenir from their last trip to WDW.

It was so much better back in 1995/96/ ? up to when EDS split from GM. We still get some GM benefits/discounts. Stock was a lot better then. He is still looking at options. He was lucky about his reprimand...the guys who were working there on Sunday into Monday got chewed out. Things are good for now.
I wished we could go in October--but it is too close to our trip to Boston. I only have 1 sister--she is not bad as Nancypants-well most of the time. I might do it on my own if time and $$$ permits.

I worked for EDS, briefly. And not by choice. The company that hired, Systemhouse, was purchased by MCI. Then MCI was purchased by Worldcom (as we all know.) Then Worldcom sold off the Systemhouse portion to EDS. A few months later I quit to go work for a small company.
When I was in college I actually interviewed with EDS but told them no thanks. I didn't like their policy about training. I think it was something like 3 months on the job training, then 3 months training at corp headquarders, then back to assignment wherever they wanted to send you. AND if you left the company before 2 (or was it 3) years of service, you had to pay them back for the training. Uh, I think not!

I didn't spend too much time with NC Beast for two months after our honeymoon---he was training in Chicago, Dallas, and Kansas City. He was home for a couple of days in between. I don't remember his last EDS trip----its been awhile.
I think one of his bosses is one he had in No. VA---the guy just moved down here recently. I think he is the one that NC Beast had a meeting with this morning. I get confuse on who is who-with him alternating accounts daily/weekly. He can't talk much about his job, but who wants to think about it at home--home is where one rests.
