Hi to everyone!

Interesting day at work, but I'm home now and have no desire to discuss it. :lmao:

Disney Mommy, thanks for the great description! Honestly that was just perfect, don't feel like you're rambling. I'm definitely interested in researching this for my son when he's old enough.

I haven't read back yet. I hope everyone had a nice Easter. We have had so much going on here. I'm not sure where it all came from, but we have been swamped. My sister that lives in Fl is coming here for a visit. I probably won't be around much until after she leaves on Sunday. So you better enjoy your peace and quite until then. :rotfl:Cyber hugs to you all. :grouphug:

LOVE your Pooh!! :goodvibes

Hello everyone. Looks like we're getting close to be a JUMBO thread. Feel free to create a new one when ready. :goodvibes

By the way ya'll -- 11 days 'til Vegas!!
:banana::banana:

I was wondering when your trip was! Any new plans to share?

Smiley - love the new Pooh. Hope you enjoy your visit with your sister.

Morning, guys!

Smiley, that new Pooh is adorable! He certainly loves his hunny. :goodvibes

For today, I shall inspire us all with a quote.

"A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men."

Just channeling my inner Willy Wonka. The version with Gene Wilder was on the other day and that is without a doubt, one of my favorite lines. So true.

So have a nonsensical Thursday! :thumbsup2

Good morning. I have not caught up on posts yet, but will later. Woke up with a rotten virus yesterday. Improvement today but not feeling normal yet. Terrible nights sleep. Now off to a boat load of kids.

Happy Thursday to all! Two more days to get through...

TarzansKat - great quote! I saw the original when I was a young'un, but hadn't seen it in forever when I saw the Johnny Depp version. I liked that one much better. He was so great...

SadieDog - hope you're feeling better.

DeterminedOne - how long will you be in Vegas? (I'll admit, I haven't gone through and read the entire thread. It's so long! But I'll be there from the start for the new one.) I've never been to Vegas, but I've been to the casinos in the Bahamas. I learned something about myself there - I have a very addictive personality and could easily become one of those people who became addicted to gambling.

Okay, time to work...

Hello all. Taking a break at work. I'm getting writers block. All my scripts are sounding the same. I figured a Dis break would help.

I can't see smileybug's new Pooh. I've been busy doing nothing. . .Actually, Ridemax came out with June Disney dates, so I've been playing around with it and making touring cards. Hope all of you are haveing a great day.

Hi ya'll! I can't see Smiley's Pooh either. But then again, I can't even see my own splat. :sad2:

Mean Queen - As far as new plans for Vegas, we booked tickets to Le Reve. It's a Cirque Du Soleil type show done in the water. I say "Cirque Du Soleil type" 'cause everyone refers to it as the fake Cirque. The guy who created it used to work for Cirque... Of the five CDS shows in Vegas we've seen all except "Love" which is a tribute to the Beatles. Really wanted to see that one but hubby doesn't think he will like it and tickets are sky high. As far as new plans and life in general ... Nadda. :)

Disney Mommy -Vegas is indeed addictive and not just when it comes to gambling. I have an addictive personality so I totally know what you mean. ;) We will be there 5 nights 6 days. Plenty of time to get in trouble.

Disney Mommy - I see in addition to sharing a love of Starbucks, we also share a love of Twilight and True Blood. Have you read the Sookie Stackhouse novels? After seeing the show, I read the entire series... 4 times. I am firmly torn between Bill, Sam, and Eric. My DD9 just finished the Twilight series (except the last book, too mature for her.) I'm starting her off right! ;)

Oh, hon! I hope you feel better soon.

I love them both, but for entirely different reasons. They're both awesome! :thumbsup2

You know, I've seen posts about Ridemax, but didn't know it was a touring plan until recently. Is it free or do you have to pay for it, like Tour Guide Mike?

Hey, DO! Hope you had good day.

Oooo...can I jump in? I love Twilight. And actually, I haven't seen True Blood, but I do like the Sookie Stackhouse novels. And I'm all about Eric. Especially in the fourth book. Oh my, my. :rolleyes1 Anyway, it took me until about book four to be really into the series. I just didn't like the writing style until then, and I'm glad one of my friends told me to stick with it.

The show is so different from the book I compare it to fan fiction. But it's a good show, just not the exact story as the books.

Can I find episodes on the net? We don't have HBO.

Not yet. HBO isn't releasing them on iTunes or DVD until close to the next season. The show got me to read the books, but the books got me hooked more than the show. Though I am partial to most vampire stories. I loved Buffy and Angel. I liked the Anne Rice novels. I just prefer a little camp with my vamp.

Oh, Tag Fairy??? :rolleyes1

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm sorry, but that just struck me. And I'm totally with you, I really loved the Anne Rice novels. Oddly enough, it never struck me how sensual those were at the time, but now when I read them, I think wow...I read these at what age? :lmao:

Morning all! I have the day off. I'm taking my time getting DD3 to school. Then I'm heading to Starbucks to relax and enjoy some coffee. Though I may go to the Starbucks at my book store near the mall, so I have something to read.

Or, you might go to Starbucks and meet a friend and chat.....:rolleyes1

:rotfl:

Ok I am NOT liking having limited Internet access!!!! I feel so out of the loop here. NO idea what's going on with any of you, except of course for Mean Queen, because, well, we meet at Starbucks and chat!;)

I heard we might need a new thread already! Someone be sure to PM the new info so I don't get lost for good!!

TK - how goes the house hunting??! Any luck?!

Smileybug - how are you?!!?? So are you coming down for a dolphin cruise this summer?....that has the potential to be a really fun time!

creativeamanda - I haven't been able to keep up with your PRT but I hope everything is going well!

SadieDog - how's life in Maine these days? Anything new with you?

disney_mommy - glad to see you've stuck around with us!! Hopefully I can get back on here on a regular basis soon and get to chat some more.

DeterminedOne - are you in Vegas yet???? Have a great time, whenever you go!!

"Everyone else" - HI!!!!!!:flower3:

.

Hey, all! It's a beautiful sunny day in North Carolina. I was just outside, basking in the last sunshiney day until I have to go back to work. . .

I took a day off of Disney trip planning yesterday and read most of the day after going to the library. I've recently gotten real interested in the lives of the Tudors, you know, Henry VIII, the Boleyns, Elizabeth I. So nerd I am, I'm not reading novels. I'm reading biographies.

I know, I know. I like reading biographies, though. I also like thumbing through old books. Did I ever tell you, I was a history minor in college? That should tell you something. But my favorite history is history of the Church and of course, Henry VIII would catch my attention there, seeing as how he created his own church for his own devices, yet never really formally broke from the Catholic Church. Anyhow. . .

TK, Ridemax is actually a computer program. You pick your park, your day, your rides, and it spits out a ride order for you. It's really very cool.

I really miss you, Legomom! But I can understand the limited internet thing. I lived with dial up until about a year ago. . .

Mean Queen. . .mmmmmm. . .Starbucks. My closest Starbucks is an hour away. . .Which reminds me, would you know the best Starbucks in Orlando closest to Disney on the east side of the parks?

Smileybug--hope your weekend goes well!

Sadiedog--Hope it's getting progressively warmer for you.

disneymommy--glad to see you still around.

DO--I'm jealous. . .I wanna go to Vegas!

ETA: my dad scared the crap out of me at lunch - i went to sonic to get everyone's lunch and while I was ordering someone opened my passenger car door and got in and I was about to pounce when I realized it was my dad LOL good grief!!
