Wow, what a morning. Beyond scary and stressful. To make a long story shorter, a 1 1/2 year old boy had a seizer today. His arm was twitching and he was foaming at the mouth. He was placed on the floor and we called 911. He turned purple and lost conciousness. Got him breathing again but he started going out of it again. This time he turned white. It was a horrible sight and we thought we may lose him. I have never been so happy to hear a toddler cry in my life. Ambulance and police came. His mother got there before the ambulance. Turns out they think he suddenly spiked a fever and that was the cause. He has never had an episode before. Now we will have to keep a close eye on him even during nap. SO GLAD it didn't happen at nap time. He was acting fine this morning and was not hot either time I changed him. It came on suddenly. Not that you want to see anything bad happen to any child, but I know the boys Dad. He is friends with my cousin. My cousin and the boys Dad used to share an apartment. He was about to eat lunch. Good thing he wasn't trying to eat when this happened.

Bless your heart. You did have a stressful morning. Seizures in children are very scary. My DS #2 was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 5.

The scariest part was him turning purple and us wondering if he was going to start breathing again. I hope your son didn't have to go thru too many episodes.

man am I glad they did that.

We are fortunate enough to have a major teaching hospital with a children's hospital as part of it near us. I feel like we lived there for 5 years. But he is doing great know. He has been seizure free for 10 years. He is allowed to drive and lives a very normal life. Maybe that is why he is such a daredevil now.

Until his medication was regulated he had multiple ones a day. He had several different types of seizure's. We are fortunate enough to have a major teaching hospital with a children's hospital as part of it near us. I feel like we lived there for 5 years. But he is doing great know. He has been seizure free for 10 years. He is allowed to drive and lives a very normal life. Maybe that is why he is such a daredevil now.
