Honestly, I still have a few key words that I say exactly like my Granddad used to.

For example, hot. Is not pronounced hot. It's hut. I still catch myself doing it. A lot. But it's great, and reminds me of him, so I like it.

I'll never forget the first time I went to visit my sister in Indiana. Obviously, she's moved there, she was raised in New England as well. Some of the word pronounciations out there threw me a bit the first time around.

You know what, I was thinking of that commercial where the guy is eating...I think it's Campbell's Soup...and he's so excited over it, he says those words while someone asks him what his name in. So when he comes in to see his new nameplate, it's Num Num Nummy. Something like that.
