Sorry LegoMom, the job situation is scary. I can understand a landlord wanting people to have an income before letting someone move in. What if you moved into a home and he couldn't find a job? I"m sure you want to know you will have an income as well. So he already looked for a job in FL and there were none? Don't suppose you know anyone in the area that can help you? 

Some better than others. Mean Queen, tell your hubby that you were RIGHT!! Moms do find that story funny.
I feel so bad for my little/big man. Yes, I'm well aware that he is 21 and 6ft tall. He is still my baby boy.

That is just not funny, my friends. Plus many of the rentals I've been looking over in FL are less interested in your credit history than they are in insisting you have a steady income. Telling a potential landlord you're moving down there and then "looking" for work isn't going to go very far! So now I feel completely stuck. DH said earlier that basically he's afraid right now to leave his current job, despite the fact that they are currently running three weeks on/1 week off in his department.....I don't know where he thinks we're gonna live on that income!!!
