Ok, the Bud Light ad was pretty funny, and I definitely want to see "Angels & Demons" this spring!!

.

Peed my pants over the Doritos ad with the snowglobe!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

.

I'm here. The TV is on behind me.
TOUCHDOWN
I think I'll go make some popcorn on the stove.

Well that blows. I'm surprised they didn't review the last play. I'm off to bed.

Ok, so what commercials did you like? I loved the Dorito's snowglobe, the Pepsi Max (with the guys getting hit over and over), and the flowers in a box ("No one wants to see you naked.") :lmao: I also loved seeing some of the new movie trailers.

What! I go away for a little while and come back to a new thread....I was like a little lost kid looking for my parents...lol...but I'm back now

Yeah, it does. I'm not "into" football by any stretch, but they didn't deserve to win. They had some of the most unsportsman-like conduct that I've seen in a long time....:sad2:

Ditto! And, being a horse lover, I thought the Bud Light ad with the Clydesdale and his circus-horse girlfriend was just CUTE!

pyr8freak87, welcome back!:cheer2: Glad you found us.

(<--- good grief the DIS clock is 40 minutes off!!...it says I posted at 6:39 and it's 7:19!)

.

Good morning ya'll. Well. the cardinals didn't win but I had so much fun last night. My family is CRAZY!! I have never had so much fun watching a football game.

Welcome back pyr8freak87. :cool1:

NO!...please don't feel bad! Yes we did the big ol' hug exchange but I felt like I "knew" you because we've chatted here on the DIS for so long!! That's the kind of situation where I'm going to go with the flow of the other person, and in our case, well I was just so excited to be meeting TK....! ;)

Now, a total stranger that I have never seen, spoken to or DISed with....that's another story entirely!:scared: (with the definite exception of a certain rum-soaked, dred-locked pirate....:lovestruc )

Phew! :lmao:

And ditto on the rum-soaked pirate. ::yes::

Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH!!! They have gotten all sorts of awards for their birthing center but I found them to be entirely too "hands-off." Wait-and-see in terms of whether or not you'll need drugs only goes so far, because when you actually get to the point of needing said drugs, it's too late!!!!!!!!!!! It's the 21st century people, a little pain-killer, please!! I won't even go into the whole "he should've been a c-section" deal.....:sad2: I've said enough!

Craziness! Craziness I say! :sad2:

Aww, Happy Birthday to your son! Four is a great age, I loved it with all three of mine. Was SO happy to get out of the 3's....:crazy2:

.

Me, too! I don't know what this terrible twos myth is. A bunch of rubbish! My DS was great as a two year old. Threes were so dang hard. I'm sad that my little baby is growing up, but glad to put that year behind us. :lmao:

I have a friend that tried natural birth for 2 days worth of labor with a hospital like that! Give me drugs! Epidurals are good things. :thumbsup2

Oh, good lord, god bless her. I only wanted to go natural as long as I possibly could. My hospital was so great about offering an epidural but not pushing it on me. I made it to about 7 before I caved. Just couldn't breathe/focus anymore. I'm all for an epidural. Lovely, lovely thing. :thumbsup2

Hello ladies! Happy Superbowl Sunday everyone!

It's not anymore, but Happy Superbowl Sunday to you too!

That pirate can touch me anytime. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

Hey ya'll. :wave2:

You know everytime I see this smiley :hyper: it makes me think that someone has to tinkle. :rotfl: And remember...please be neat and wipe the seat. :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl2: I'll have to tell that one to the two men of my household! :lmao:

Ok, so, in terms of Superbowl snacking? Yeah, we've been doing it all day. A
And I only have one word...

NOM!

We've had chocolate covered pretzels, marshmallows and chocolate chip cookies. We've had teriyaki wings. We've had hot buffalo chicken dip. We've had Nutella roll-ups. There are now meatballs on the stove.

I'm trying to eat SLOOOOOOOW.

My MIL got some great snacky type food as well, and I totally blew whatever semblance of eating healthy I was trying to maintain yesterday. Ah well, today is a new day, right?

Ok, the Bud Light ad was pretty funny, and I definitely want to see "Angels & Demons" this spring!!

.

I loved the Angels & Demons preview! From what I can tell it looked very true to the book.

Good morning, everybody!

LegoMom, I love the Lolcatz today. Too cute! :lmao:

Am I the only person in the US who didn't watch the SuperBowl? I was asleep 'til 7:00 plus I don't like football. I didn't even watch a few years ago when the Colts won. The only thing I wanted to see (which I looked up on the Internet this morning) was Jennifer Hudson sing the Star Spangled Banner. She sang it beautifully. Oh, I just remember that I did catch a little bit of the half time show. I saw Bruce Springsteen singing 'Born to Run'. Man, he can still rock out!

What! I go away for a little while and come back to a new thread....I was like a little lost kid looking for my parents...lol...but I'm back now

Glad to have you back.

Yeah, it does. I'm not "into" football by any stretch, but they didn't deserve to win. They had some of the most unsportsman-like conduct that I've seen in a long time....:sad2:

That was awful. Even the announcer said he could have been thrown out of the game for that. I wouldn't want anyone on my favorite teams acting like that. Pretty disgusting.

Tink I like your strategy of trying to eat slowly! Good idea.

Even slow was tough. I still ate too much. I was nodding off on the couch by a few minutes into the 1st quarter. And I AM a football girl, so you'd think I'd have been interested!!!

BF would nudge me for commercials, though. LOL

I'm sitting here on my 'puter, where I can also see the tv, waiting for the ads to start. I hope they're good this year!

.

You know, I wasn't hugely impressed. The snowglobe one was pretty funny. And there was either a monster or careerbuilder.com one that was good (with the woman screaming in her car at the beginning - so totally me, sometimes!) but other than that, I felt kind of "meh" about them all.

Except the trailers. I now am looking forward to:

Star Trek (and I'm SO NOT a Star Trek fan)
Transformers 2
G.I. Joe (Dudes. SO stoked about this one. Thank the BF for that.)

Angels & Demons - eh. I was "Eh" about the book too, though.

I totally missed the end of the game. We left our friends house towards the end of the 3rd quarter and I went right to bed. BF came and cuddled me 'til I fell asleep and then I think he snuck downstairs to watch the end of the game. I LOVE his priorities! LOL I think I just pushed too far too fast after being sick last week because I'm definitely feeling less than 100% this morning.

It's supposed to be HOT here today!!! 42 degrees!!! LOL :beach:

I'm going to have to watch me some Sports Center to know what you ladies are talkin' about. I don't like it when this kind of carp goes down, regardless of who I'm rooting for. Ruins the game.

My state tax return came in today so I ordered 100 gallons of oil. :cheer2: Good timing b/c we are on empty. It's been 55 in here. COLD I did put it up to 57 a little while ago b/c I had to get a little heat. I hope they deliver it soon.

What! I go away for a little while and come back to a new thread....I was like a little lost kid looking for my parents...lol...but I'm back now

Welcome back! :cheer2:

I must have missed the unsportsmanlike thing. I asked DH and he said was it that guy stepping on that dude's head. I thought that was the basketball game a few days ago. So neither of us are sure.

TK - Please don't scare me about my soon to be 3-year old. She has been such a great and mellow 2-year old. My first, not so much at that age. I am hopeful my mellow child will remain mellow. Please. :flower3:

Sadiedog - yeah about the check and the heating oil!

Um...

Every kid is different? :scared:

No, in all seriousness, hon, I don't mean to scare you. Every kid is totally different, and I just noticed three was much worse than two. Now there's a lot of factors that go into that, not only do we have childhood development progressing along course, and a desire for independence, we also have a DH and a DS whose personalities are very similar. And who but heads. Frequently. God bless him, he's a great father, but my husband and my son are so alike sometimes that I have to stop them from fighting. No joke. Fighting with the almost four year old. Yes, you read that right. Lord help me when I have a stubborn teenager and and even more stubborn husband on my hands. If they don't turn me gray early, it'll be a miracle. :rotfl2:
