Good Morning everyone I got my electric on around noon yesterday but it kept going on and off then it stayed on around 5pm. YAY :cool1: I finally got a good nights sleep in my bed instead of the floor!!!! :cheer2: :hyper:

YAY! :cool1: Glad to hear you have power! I know it's miserable without it.

....Dude!

Did I hug you the first time we met?

I'm starting to feel bad. :lmao:

NO!...please don't feel bad! Yes we did the big ol' hug exchange but I felt like I "knew" you because we've chatted here on the DIS for so long!! That's the kind of situation where I'm going to go with the flow of the other person, and in our case, well I was just so excited to be meeting TK....! ;)

Now, a total stranger that I have never seen, spoken to or DISed with....that's another story entirely!:scared: (with the definite exception of a certain rum-soaked, dred-locked pirate....:lovestruc )

Hot holy carp woman! What kind of a hospital was this!!! :sad2:

Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH!!! They have gotten all sorts of awards for their birthing center but I found them to be entirely too "hands-off." Wait-and-see in terms of whether or not you'll need drugs only goes so far, because when you actually get to the point of needing said drugs, it's too late!!!!!!!!!!! It's the 21st century people, a little pain-killer, please!! I won't even go into the whole "he should've been a c-section" deal.....:sad2: I've said enough!

I love the glittery NOM! Happy February to you to. In a little less than a week, my son will turn four. I actually like this time of year, even though it's cold. His birthday, then a week later, Valentine's Day. :goodvibes

Aww, Happy Birthday to your son! Four is a great age, I loved it with all three of mine. Was SO happy to get out of the 3's....:crazy2:

I'll second you on that one! :lovestruc

Now, it's okay for me to hug someone that I have either known on the internet or IRL if I feel I've gotten to know them. But I do NOT want a stranger hugging me.

Thanks for the well wishes about my tailbone. I hate I'm missing church though. But sitting the the pews is a torture in and of itself.

Ok, no hugging  or "love taps" on your "backside" if we ever meet. :rolleyes1

It's 38 here now, just before noon.

thanks guys sure feels good to be back in my own bed! :cheer2:

and I have to admit I'm not a touchy feely person either and I don't hug! but I have one bil that is a hugger! :crowded: I don't hug my kids like that that's just me. so i'm not alone huh! yay.

I have a friend that tried natural birth for 2 days worth of labor with a hospital like that! Give me drugs! Epidurals are good things. :thumbsup2

You can hug me if we meet since I kind of know you. But I'd really appreciate laying off of the "love taps" on my backside. :rotfl:

Don't throw anything at me for those of you who are in colder climates. I just went outside barefooted with shorts and a t-shirt on. I don't know the temp, but it was pleasantly warm. I can deal with the hot temps. I hate the cold.

thanks guys sure feels good to be back in my own bed! :cheer2:

I'm glad you're off the floor. It's miserable like that. Glad you have power.

I never broke my tailbone, but I had quite a bruising down there which was also excrutiating. When DS12 was born, the nice "non-intervention-let's-let-nature-take-its-course" hospital which should have taken him by c-section, instead ripped him on out and I couldn't sit on a hard surface for weeks.... If he hadn't been my first child (thus I had no clue what was going on nor what to expect) they'd have had a lawsuit on their hands.

(Tinkerbellarella should read that little gem there...she's always looking for good birth-control stories!!:lmao: )

.

Add one check in the "NO KIDS" column.

Hello ladies! Happy Superbowl Sunday everyone!

Go Steelers!!!!!

Yes. I know, apparently my middle name is Lucifer as I'm not rooting for the Cards.

Boo, boo, hiss. LOL. I really don't care too much because my Pats aren't there. I just like rocking the boat. Most of the people at work are all Steelers fans. They have irritated me so much that I decided for one day I'll cheer for the Cardinals.

Oh good, I'm not considered a stranger.

Oh no, you can't sit in a pew with a tailbone injury. Yikes, too painful. You can still worship at home in your own way and when your backside is feeling better, you can go to church.

I had an adverse reaction once. It felt very difficult to breathe, but fortunately, I was still in the office at the time. Do you know how hard it is to remain calm when you're really in utter panic because your three year old is sitting calmly in the waiting room playing with toys and has no idea Mama's not okay? That was really tough, so I feel your pain. I'm so glad you came out of it alright.

Funny thing, I'm actually allergic to Benadryl. Go figure. :lmao:

Dude, you know what they say about big dogs?

Big POOPS. :lmao:

That was another reason they were so concerned b/c my late reaction was rare. To think I had shortness of breath and difficulty getting oxygen and almost stopped breathing b/c of those tiny horrible dust mite creatures.

Oh yes, very big poops.

That pirate can touch me anytime. :rotfl2:

When I had my kids they were pretty hands off but I told them I didn't want any medication. The nurse said if women expresses their desire to give birth without drugs and they are handling the pain well, then they tend to leave you alone as much as possible. However, they also told me to let them know if I changed my mind and they let me know before it was too late in case I decided I wanted drugs. Too bad they didn't listen to your wishes. There is nothing wrong with you asking for some help with your pain.

The Cardinals have never won a superbowl. That's a big reason why I am cheering for them. Well, and my dislike for the Steelers. :rotfl2:

Hey ya'll. :wave2:

You know everytime I see this smiley :hyper: it makes me think that someone has to tinkle. :rotfl: And remember...please be neat and wipe the seat. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey cheermom!!! I'm so happy you are back home!! :goodvibes

GO CARDINALS!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm staging a two-fold revolt today by not only wearing my Pats jersey, but it's my Asante Samuel Pats jersey from last season because neither my Pats OR my Eagles are in it.

Ok, so, in terms of Superbowl snacking? Yeah, we've been doing it all day. A
And I only have one word...

NOM!

We've had chocolate covered pretzels, marshmallows and chocolate chip cookies. We've had teriyaki wings. We've had hot buffalo chicken dip. We've had Nutella roll-ups. There are now meatballs on the stove.

I'm trying to eat SLOOOOOOOW.

jersey - :thumbsup2

YUM! Wish I had wings and buffalo chicken dip. I don't know what a Nuttella roll-up is. We don't have much for snacking but I made a chocolate cake. I should state it's just from a box, but we don't have dessert or junk very often so I'm looking forward to it. We are having simple frozen burritos with salsa and shredded cheese for supper. Maybe I will make some popcorn later too.

We're having shredded beef BBQ sandwiches, Buffalo chicken strips (no bones), and of course the 5-layer dip for the corn chips! There are some cheese doodles and Doritoes for the kids, too.

Tink I like your strategy of trying to eat slowly! Good idea.

Oh, and DH is watching a "Phineas and Ferb" marathon with the kids and I think he'd rather watch that all night!!:rotfl:

.

Mmmmmm you guys are making me hungry.
Wings, chicken strips, cheese doodles, Doritoes and dip. :thumbsup2

Anybody around?....I'm sitting here on my 'puter, where I can also see the tv, waiting for the ads to start. I hope they're good this year!
