Wow!! Ya'll have been so chatty tonight. :rotfl2: I'll never be able to keep up so I'm going to say goodnight. GOODNIGHT!! :goodvibes I really do hope that all of you have a very restful night. Whatever your day holds tomorrow...I hope it involves at least a few smiles and a giggle or two. ::yes::

Non-Religious Yankee Heathen checking in. :rotfl2: Hope I don't scare some of you away. :rotfl:

You know you won't scare me off, as a fellow heathen. But I'm not a Yankee, I'm a Rays fan. :p

My co-worker was laughing at me this morning. Before the breast cancer walk, a gospel choir sang. That didn't bother me until they told people to start hugging other people and telling them that "God is great." I don't like being hugged by strangers. :crowded: He said it must be my own personal torture, touching by strangers and religion. I tried to hold my microphone out in front of me, cause they usually scares people away. :mic: But it didn't help. (Hey, I got to use this guy in a regular conversation :mic: )

Morning all! It's another chilly Florida morning.

Good morning Metro West. :wave2: It's another chilly morning in S.C. as well.

Hey let's compare temps!.....I've got 15. Whadda you got?!

Mean Queen I hate being touched by strangers, too, much less being hugged??!.....ugh, total invasion of my "purple space!" :rotfl: (that's a throwback to my days working with special needs kids!)

.

Sorry LegoMom its 35 here.
I don't do stranger hugs either. Well, except for maybe ya'll.:grouphug: :rotfl2:

I'm very personal about my personal space. And I don't like to be touched. Which drives the touchy-feely people in my [extended] family just nuts.

.

I don't like being touched by strangers, either. So it's not a specific evangelical Christian thing.

Weather.com says it's 37 here. I haven't been outside, nor do I care to. I hate weather under 60 degrees and I wear flipflops all year long hoping it will be warmer soon. I think I could live in Florida and be happy myself. Until the hurricanes come. But then again, I live so close to the coast, hurricane threats are very real here, as well.

Well, I am on day 12 since I fell on my tailbone. It still has a sharp pain when I sit down or get up. Hard chairs are excruciating, so I have not been going to church because the pews would kill me. I shudder to even think of the choir loft seats, as they are horrible for someone with a good back. I think I broke it, but the thought of going to the doctor and saying, "I think I broke my butt-bone" is keeping me away. There's really nothing they can do except give me a cushion to sit on. Which I'm doing. Still doesn't keep it from hurting.

Hope you heal quickly creativeamanda. :goodvibes I can't even imagine how that must feel.

To put it mildly, it's a right pain in the. . .well, you know. :rotfl: At least I can laugh about it. Until I try to stand up. I spend most of the weekends not moving so I can move around and teach during the week. As long as I am standing it's not hurting, so my job works well with it. When I find a comfortable spot sitting, I just don't get back up.

I never broke my tailbone, but I had quite a bruising down there which was also excrutiating. When DS12 was born, the nice "non-intervention-let's-let-nature-take-its-course" hospital which should have taken him by c-section, instead ripped him on out and I couldn't sit on a hard surface for weeks.... If he hadn't been my first child (thus I had no clue what was going on nor what to expect) they'd have had a lawsuit on their hands.

(Tinkerbellarella should read that little gem there...she's always looking for good birth-control stories!!:lmao: )

Ouch! I hope you get better soon. I think my DD9 bruised her tail bone. She fell down the stairs at school last week and has been complaining of her butt hurting ever since. That type of brusing doesn't go away quickly.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who likes their personal space. My mother was a hugger with everyone. She never understood why I was very selective about who I hugged. :grouphug: Virtual hugs are fine. No space invaded.

Hey, Happy February everyone!!!.......

Ooh, look what I found!....a glittery NOM!

Good Morning everyone I got my electric on around noon yesterday but it kept going on and off then it stayed on around 5pm. YAY :cool1: I finally got a good nights sleep in my bed instead of the floor!!!! :cheer2: :hyper:

we started some clean up yesterday but we will be cleaning up for at least a week. :laundy: but thank goodness we didn't have any trees near the house for them to fall on it. the trees are so bad here that we had to cut our way out of my one bros house that we stayed the first night. the rest of the time we stayed at my other bros house about an hour away and he had power! :cheer2: but we had to sleep on the floor.:crazy2:

I so glad it's on now and we can get back to normal. no one went work or school since Tuesday. I am so ready to go back. :goodvibes

hope everyone else is doing good!!!

It's good to hear from you! Glad to see you are relatively safe and sound. I hope your clean up goes well.

Wow, :scared: how inconsiderate.

Hey let's compare temps!.....I've got 15. Whadda you got?!

It's 9 here but was 1.5 when my husband got up.

Creativeamanda, I feel for you. I fell on my tail bone once and it was terrible.

Cheermom, glad you are back home with power.

Ok, I'll try to remember this. If we ever get to meet, do NOT go up and give a big hug to Mean Queen, LegoMom or Creativeamanda. :lmao: Shaking hands ok? Walking up and hugging people I just met is not something I do anyway. Though is someone was a hugger and that's how they usually greet people, I am fine with it.

Now, it's okay for me to hug someone that I have either known on the internet or IRL if I feel I've gotten to know them. But I do NOT want a stranger hugging me.

Thanks for the well wishes about my tailbone. I hate I'm missing church though. But sitting the the pews is a torture in and of itself.

I'm glad he is doing better. :goodvibes
I'll tell ya a little secret...I'm not a football fan either. I just get caught up in the super bowl. :confused3 I completely understand why the super bowl holds a special place in your heart. :goodvibes

Thanks much! Glad to find another non-football fan in the midst, even if we do enjoy the super bowl. :thumbsup2

Non-Religious Yankee Heathen checking in. :rotfl2: Hope I don't scare some of you away. :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

I had allergy shots for about 6 months. Then about a year ago I had a rare late, very scary allergic reaction. I had difficulty breathing and could have died b/c the idiot I called blew me off. The next day I went back to the Allergy Clinic and they were very concerned and said I should have called 911 right away b/c I could have stopped breathing. I was lucky to come out of it with only Benadryl.

I had an adverse reaction once. It felt very difficult to breathe, but fortunately, I was still in the office at the time. Do you know how hard it is to remain calm when you're really in utter panic because your three year old is sitting calmly in the waiting room playing with toys and has no idea Mama's not okay? That was really tough, so I feel your pain. I'm so glad you came out of it alright.

Funny thing, I'm actually allergic to Benadryl. Go figure. :lmao:

Metro and Tarzanskat we call SadieDogs dogs buicks because thats about how big they are. :rotfl: I think Mean Queen started it.

Dude, you know what they say about big dogs?

Big POOPS. :lmao:

I have faith, don't get me wrong, but I think I may have been a bit weirded out in that situation as well. Especially with the stranger touching thing.

Hmm...I don't know if I believe you on chilly. Remember, I'm in New England. :hyper: Picture that smilie, except blue. ;)

I'm very personal about my personal space. And I don't like to be touched. Which drives the touchy-feely people in my [extended] family just nuts.

Dude!

Did I hug you the first time we met?

I'm starting to feel bad. :lmao:

Oh, hon, I hope you feel better soon. That just sounds awful.

Hot holy carp woman! What kind of a hospital was this!!! :sad2:

I love the glittery NOM! Happy February to you to. In a little less than a week, my son will turn four. I actually like this time of year, even though it's cold. His birthday, then a week later, Valentine's Day. :goodvibes
