Faith...it doesn't mean that worry never slips in. That's just human nature. I just know above all else God is in control of my life. And that is what gives me peace. I would love to one day share my testimony with you.

As I would love to share mine with you. I have an interesting one that starts with my childhood and a cult my parents were involved in. It's no secret here that I am very conservative, so it should come to no surprise where my faith lies. But I try to steer away from that here.

Anybody watching the SuperBowl tomorrow? And if you are did you get your 3-D glasses? I got ours a couple a weeks ago. Trying to decide what our munchies are gonna be. I know hubby is doing his famous wings. I have been craving baked potatoe soup. So I may fix a pot of that. And other than chips, veggies and dips I think that is gonna be it.

We are watching the Superbowl, but no 3-D glasses. Still, it will be fun. We're having my wings and nachos. I'll be stumbling all tired into work on Monday, but that's OKAY.

Despite that fact that neither of my teams made it there (Go Pats! Go Eagles!), we'll be watching as we do EVERY year. Maybe this year will be less stressful since I'm not really rooting for anyone.
Well, except maybe a lil' for the Steelers.
Since BF is rooting for the Cards.

Hello to everyone else! It's much colder today than I expected! Only 27!

I am rooting for the Cardinals, as well, but I hate the Patriots aren't there. DH is a long time Pats fan. And Red Sox. And Celtics. Well, he was born in Boston, so it figures.


Still need to work on that PTR. But of course, instead I am . Only 50million loads left.

LegoMom...How are things looking with the move to Florida? Are ya'll gonna put the house back on the market this spring? I don't know why...I have probably lost my mind. (I did along time ago as a matter of fact ) But I really think we are going to start to see a turn around soon. I know the media is still painting a very dark picture but we are starting to see building on a very small rise here. (small-its a start ) I have gotten to where I watch very little of the news anymore. I decided that the only thing I need to be concerned about is what is happening in my little corner of the world. I can't fix anything else. So why should I worry myself sick about it. My faith is in someone bigger than all of us anyway. And that in itself gives me peace. I don't know what is going to happen. But I do know that God is going to give us the grace to get through it. Sorry for rambling on. But I can't help it....I have faith that things are gonna work out.

The house actually went on the market a little over a week ago. We had two showings the weekend I was in Florida (poor DH had to manage the three boys AND clean the house spik-n-span!). Both parties were just starting out so I don't expect to hear anything (if at all) very soon. I will PM you more detail on our situation (maybe later today). But I am 100% with you on having faith. AND, you are SO right with the media bias. I think they deliberately want to paint the doom-and-gloom picture. My DH made the comment a few weeks ago, that if we didn't have TV and Intenet and all this other 24/7 media, things wouldn't seem as bad as we're led to believe. Like you said, if we all just went around worrying about our own little corner of the world, we wouldn't be so panicked, I don't think. As an example, I have been browsing several sites for job availability in FL, and I consistently find jobs that my DH is totally qualified for. And I'm talking about a living wage here, not just minimum wage stuff. I'm not trying to make light of things - we're in the thick of it, for goodness sakes, with DH being in automotive-related manufacturing - but turn on the tv and you'd think there wasn't a job to be had ANY where!

Goodness gracious. I've been at the grocery store and everyone else is DISing. HMPH.

Hello all! I got my self up at 6 this morning for work. A boxer named Winky Wright held a breast cancer awareness walk. Though some of the stars set to be there didn't show up because they were too busy partying last night at the local Superbowl events. Jordin Sparks did show up, but she only sang one line from her song then did a meet and greet with the breast cancer survivors who were in the walk. This morning made me want to remind all of you to feel your girls. Too many people have been surprised by breast cancer. If you do self-checks, you could save your own life.

Off the soap box. Driving away from the event today, I saw the Food Network star Guy Fieri in a car next to us.

We will be watching the Superbowl tomorrow, since it's a hometown game (though without our hometown team.) I'm also rooting for the Cardinals, or more like rooting against the Steelers.

Thanks for the reminder regarding the "girls." It's actually been on my mind lately because I'm supposed to be having regular mams but I haven't been in 2 or 3 years. Mostly because I don't have a doctor I know/like. The last office I went to, I had 3 doctors in as many years because they kept leaving for various reasons. I like to find someone I can develop a rapore (sp??) with, kwim? The thought of getting something like that absolutely terrifies me (the disease, not the test!).

That's weird....I remember that for the 8 months we lived there, we ended up owing NC taxes, too. I thought that was odd at the time!

Well, I'll try to give the very-abridged version of our quest!....

We're leaving NH. Regardless of where we end up. But my dad lives in Florida and we'd like to be closer to him, at least for a while. He's on the west coast and we're trying to avoid the coastal counties (insurance and higher cost of rentals and such).

First we were looking at Ocala. I love it up that way, and the cost of living seems very reasonable (keeping in mind that all of FL is pretty much less than NH!), but I'm concerned it may not be a large enough city to offer enough of a job base.

So I started going down the map and that, of course, takes you to the greater Orlando area. I don't want to be smack in the city, but somewhere in the suburbs or outer reaches. Commutable to the city for job purposes, but a little bit more "out there" for housing. And, still a reasonable drive to my dad's north of St. Pete.

Are there communities that you would recommend?....equally, are there communities you would not recommend?
