Pop Century looks so cool! My mom loved the Rubix Cube. The thing I love about the values is how "Disney" they are. I'd love to stay at the Poly too. Ever since I saw South Pacific when I was a kid I wanted to go to the Polynesian Islands but I might have to settle for the Poly

Gee whiz it's about time I get a post in here before it becomes the "Seewhatimesdone & creativeamanda Show" ! Mean Queen's off on a gal's weekend and SadieDog is on her vacation. I don't know where Smiley's been other than popping in once in the morning.

But it's been TOO QUIET around here!!!

We have church this morning and company coming this afternoon, but I'll stop by in between those two events and probably be on this evening a bit.

Maybe someone will be around!

Hello Tagless and Formerly Tagless. I'm back from Vegas - got back Friday night but been busy writing my TR for the Vegas board. We had a great time! I can't wait to go back. One of the strangest things that happened on our trip was me being mistaken for a "Lady of the Night" ... Ummmm ... yeah. Here's an excerpt from my report:

As you recall I talked about the looks hubby and I get when we’re together. Well one night when we were at Palazzo hubby was playing in one area of the casino and I was in another. I went over to where he was to let him know I was going to the restroom so he would know where I was. I walked up behind him, put my hand on his shoulders and whispered in his ear. Well when I came out of the restroom he was standing just outside with a puzzled look on his face. I asked what was wrong. He said that when I walked away he was approached by security asking what I had said to him. Apparently, they thought I was a prostitute trying to solicit sex. WTH? At first I thought it was funny but hubby was ticked off! The more we thought about it the more we wondered what exactly it is that goes through some people’s head when they see us together. Like I said, I’ve always wondered about the sugar daddy thing, but never prostitution. And let me say for the record that while I was showing off my upper body work I did so tastefully. I was wearing a low cut top but I also had on a pair of capris and was wearing flip flops. Not lady of the night attire - but I could be wrong. Later on that evening we went to Grand Lux cause I was starving. Hubby wasn’t hungry so while I ordered a full meal all he got was cheesecake. As we were eating it dawned on us that perhaps people thought I was a starving prostitute and he was paying for my meal … Strange but true.

Looks like you two had an awesome time. I'm sorry that you had to deal with the "Lady of the evening" comment though. Do you have plans to return anytime soon? Or is Hawaii still the next destination?

Hi Smiley. I'm still hoping we will get to do something big for our 10th (like Hawaii) but Vegas is always a smaller scale option. Once I catch up on my real life I plan on pricing out a Hawaii trip. If we can do it for 5K or under it's a go, but something tells me with the cost of airfare it won't be feasible. How have you been?

Thanks for the compliment. From what I understand prostitution is no longer legal in Vegas as of a few years ago. The hotel we were in is upscale so I think they do what they can to deter solicitation as a way to protect guests. I guess there have been a lot of problems at the hotels lately. About a month ago two prostitutes got into an argument at Bally's and one stabbed and killed the other in the lobby in front of the registration desk.

I love Harry Potter. When the books started coming out I dismissed the whole thing. Then DD got interested in Harry so I started reading the books and have fell in love with them. I love Snape.

Back from my weekend away. It was sooooooooo nice and much needed. I will post a quick trip report with pictures later. I just have to upload all my pics to photobucket and get my notes from the trip around the world. I definitely have some must stop at places!

DO - glad to read you had a (almost) great trip to Vegas. I guess Vegas must have some very classy looking hookers if they thought you were one. The Venetian looked beautiful. I can't wait to read and see more about your trip.

I dismissed the whole Harry Potter thing, too. Then I watched the 1st and 2nd movies. After the 2nd movie, I started reading the books. But I never waited in line for a book until the last one. My reasoning then was that it would be the last time I ever got a chance to do it. It's an experience I'm glad I had. I liken the countdown to Disney to that of the release of HPDH. Only I picked up the book and was home at 2am. The book was read by noon the next day. For Disney, my happiness gets to last.
