Hello! My DD9 has an assignment to write a 1 1/2 page autobiography. It's interesting to hear what she sees as important events in her life. Oddly, WDW isn't one of them. I guess that's too common for her. Though our yearly New Year's trips to DVC's Hilton Head resort is. My friends who go with us say their kids also have written about that as a highlight in their school work. Makes me feel the DVC was worth the money. :thumbsup2

Anyone planning on watching "Fringe" tonight? I love J.J. Abrams, so I plan to check it out.

It's always interesting to see what kids write.

What is Fringe? I have not heard about this new show?

Good morning SadieDog. Fringe is a new science fiction type series. I think it is going to be good. :thumbsup2 You have to pay attention to the details.

What network has it?

I believe it was on Fox. It was on at 8:00 last night. It will replay on Sunday night I think. I'm sure you can do a google and find out. I was so tired last night I was doing good watching the show.

Hi, everyone! Hope all of you have a Wednesday.

Yup, just a Wednesday:confused3

Nope I plan to have a better Wednesday than that. :thumbsup2 I hope yours is better as well. After all it is Wednesday. :rotfl:

Smiley, how is your Dad? Is he home yet?

Thank you sooooo much for asking SadieDog. He is still in the convalence side of the nursing home. He is doing well. Just wants to come home. Starting to deal with some depression. He has about 2 weeks to go. He has been there for 5 weeks already. I'm a little worried because yesterday he seemed to come down with a bad cold. He goes into phneumonia really easily. His doctor was supposed to come in last night and check on him. I'll find out soon what was said. Thanks again. :goodvibes

Oh no, phneumonia can be scary. Maybe once he gets out of there, he won't be exposed to so many germs. Poor guy, hate to see someone struggle with depression. He must want to go home so bad.

I am going with my mother soon to check out a boarding facility for her dogs. I am her dog sitter, but when we both go somewhere, she needs a back up. I wish we knew someone who could give us good reviews for boarding. It makes me nervous.

I know what you mean about boarding. Have you asked your Vet to recommend someone?

I mentioned that to her but I don't think she has. She is in denial and doesn't want to deal with it. People leave cards at the vet but I would ask if they have any experience with them. Just b/c they leave a card at the vet, does not mean they are recommended. I would like to know someone that I trust make a recommendation. I took a name of a vet tech who comes to your home. Of course I would get references. I have dog sat for many over the years. If I could find someone like me, I would feel better. ;) All the animals I have sat for or fostered received excellent care. To get that in return may be difficult.

I really do hope you find an acceptable solution to this. We use a kennel that is run by a Vet clinic. I'm pretty comfortable with this place. I do hate leaving them though. I always feel like they don't really understand that we are coming back.

OMG, WOW. The 1st place we looked at was HORRIBLE. Scary, dirty, dark, animals unsupervised in a fenced area 2 hours at a time where they cannot even see what is going on. It was just plain sick. The smell was overwelming. It was worse than any animal shelter I have ever been in.

Then I recalled seeing a dog daycare and wanted to visit just in case they offered boarding. The sign only says daycare. The place was beautiful and she does board. Can't even compare that places. This was a wonderful, fun, clean and safe environment. She does not allow animals with fleas, they must use preventative and be flea free. The other place told my mother not to worry about the other dogs fleas b/c if she uses preventative, the fleas will just die when they bite her dogs. :scared1: It's $50 a day for 2 dogs. Can get kind of expensive when gone a week or more.

It's another J.J. Abrams show. He always puts hidden extras in the show. I really liked the premiere episode. Though I was amazed they put it on at 8 p.m.. It's definitely more of a late night show with all the gore.

Gore, I like gore. I may have to check it out. ;)

I was a little shocked at the time frame myself. But I really did enjoy it. I might even watch again on Sunday night just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

This reminds me of a womens bathroom at a church I visited one time. The bathroom had two toilets with no walls between them. Just two toilets in the room. There are somethings I just don't care to share. Know what I mean? :rotfl:

I have the show recorded, so I may watch it when my DH watches it. That is if I can get him to watch it. He's not a fan of Abrams like I am.

I wonder if that church was trying to encourage the parishioners to give more by showing how little money they had to make a complete bathroom. :rolleyes1

I have been trying to figure out how to explain Fringe to my oldest son. Wouldn't you say it is kind of like a sci-fi version of CSI? :confused3

I'm not sure if they ever intended to put in a wall. The bathroom was completely finished and decorated. It was just kind... of ackward.
