It's only 41 this morning. Air sure is changing. Brrrrrrrrrr

I have the History Chan. on with a 9/11 show. So sad.

My little class is watching a show about 9-11 right now. We have an assembly later today. All in all, the school wrote my plans for me today. Which they need to. We don't need to forget those people. There are names and faces behind those numbers.

Okay, off my soapbox.

Tomorrow night--about 8:30pm. The game shouldn't take too long. The other team will probablt forfeit at the half like they did last year.

Yes, I think all important events in history need to be remembered and not forgotten.

I have a 7pm meeting tonight regarding Project Graduation. Seems to be done totally different than when I was in school. I was told it is no longer a school sponsored even. Parents are the ones who do all the planning and set up the fund raising. Parents decided where the even is located. This should be interesting.

That's interesting. In our school, the kids do fundraising for graduation, but it is still sponsored by the school with teachers on the graduation committee.

Project Graduation is the event after graduation where the grads go somewhere for the night. It's supposed to be a safe, fun event to prevent drinking and driving.

That's a great idea.

I had checked out that thread C1M. Though I think some people will just never let up the fighting. :confused3

CreativeAmanda, we have volunteer job sites at a local library, Wallyfart, a nursing home, the Alpaca Farm(new this year), and the YMCA. They don't get paid for these. These are for the majority of the students. For those old enough, there is a center that does training of some sort. They get paid for this, it is pennies an hour. I actually interviewed at that site years ago. The people who "worked" there sat at a table and put items in a baggie. The items were like screws, nuts, bolts, and such. We also take the kids out to restaraunts, the grocery store, and Wallyfart to buy things on their personal lists with there own money.

That's what the kids do the first hour at the vocational center. On Fridays they go shopping.

I keep telling pee-pul that between my DD & I, only one of us will surviver her teen years. :scared1: She has my logic. :rotfl:

DD9 won't make it through her teenage years. I think dh is about to handle her. They are studying for her spelling test tomorrow and if he had hair left, he'd pull it all out.

That is a nice thread. But, eh-hem, what is THIS thread? Chopped liver?

:rotfl: I thought the same thing. I'm just trying to bump our threads by posting more snarkiness for the snarkiness of it all.

The more, the merrier.

I'm feeling a little out of sorts. Smileybug hasn't posted in a bit.
