I love going at Christmas time. The decorations are just soooo magical. :rotfl: We have never been during these dates before though. But from everyhing I have read this time frame seems to be a good one. We normally like to go in the Sunday after Thanksgiving and stay the week. Crowds have been pretty good then as well. So I guess we will just have to see. :goodvibes

I'll be interested to see how the crowds are when you go. We've been once during December and it was on Christmas! The crowds were insane but we still had a blast. But I would like to enjoy the festivities without the craziness :rotfl:

You were really brave to take on Christmas Day!! I'm glad you had fun though. I know New years Eve is supposed to be a nightmare too. But there is a part of me that really wants to experience it sometime.

I did New Years a few years ago at DL and it was insane! They had to stop letting people in. Shoulder to shoulder! But I think it would be a lot of fun at WDW where there's four parks to spread out the people.

Stopping in to say hi! :wave2:

New Year's Eve is really fun as long as you go into it with the right attitude! :cool1:

You always need to remember that it's not how many times you ride anything (just a few between 9 & midnight), not how much you get to walk around without touching someone else's shoulder (never), or how awesome your fireworks view is (one never knows...) :confused3

You just have to be able to enjoy the fact that Mickey is counting down your new year and you are in WDW. After midnight, we have found that we were able to walk right on lots of rides since so many people headed straight for the exits. You also have to pace yourself if you're headed to the MK since you'll need to go early and stay all day to be there at midnight - and all that in a park with no lounges! :rotfl:

I highly recommend long table service meals at 12 noon and 8:30 pm! :)

Honestly, I think it's one of those things every big Disney fan should do at least once - but I may only be saying this to justify my own previous adventures! :lmao:

My biggest fear would be crowded restrooms. Nobody gets between this girl and a potty. :rotfl:

Um....Smileybug?

You're not bored or anything, are you?

:rotfl2:

I'm working on it right now!!!!!!

You are doing a good job of talking me into it!! :thumbsup2

Wow, I missed a lot of chatting it up today. . .

SadieDog, your trip looks fantastic and I really know youu are going to have a blast!

Mean Queen, any other suggestions for the food and wine festival? I eat anything. I was looking forward to trying some of the Sam Adams' beers, too.

I would love some F&W suggestions too! It will be my first time going in a few weeks

Good Morning

PaMom, you had a full day yesterday. I have helped with yard sales too. They can be a lot of work. Your visit to Williamsburg was perfect timing. That certainly makes school projects more interesting and more pleasant when you can relate to them. Last year my daughter studied the Civil War including Gettysburg. On our drive back from Memphis TN, she insisted we stop in PA to see Gettysburg. We stayed a few hours and loved it. I would love to go back when we have more time.

If you ever get to Gettysburg again, let me know. I'm about an hour from there. I haven't been there in years.

Well, Mean Queen is the expert. She will probably have been 4-5 times before we get there. . .

I'm looking forward to some F&W reviews then. I'll probably only be able to go for half a day so I want to make the snacks count!

I'll let you know after this weekend. :thumbsup2 We booked the Sweet Sundays brunch. I have yet to do anything like that at the F&WF.

I went to bed at 1am and spent almost 7 hours in the emergency room with my brother, the one that lives near me. He has been having reoccuring abdominal pain for a few weeks and it's coming more frequently and more severe. He doubles over in pain when it happens and can't move. There is good news and bad news. Good news is that they ran a bunch of tests and it's nothing life threatening. Bad news is that they ran a bunch of tests and don't know anything. How frustrating. They said to keep his appt with his regular Dr for Oct 30th. That's a long time to keep having these pains. He is just establishing this Dr b/c he has not seen one in over 15 years.

Hey guys. Hope you all have a good Tuesday. . .I am not very enamored with Tuesdays--the realization on Tuesday that this week will be the same as the previous one hits hard on Tuesday morning. Mondays I'm all hopeful for a fresh start. Tuesdays I just wanna crawl back in bed until the weekend.

SadieDog, I hope your brother feels better soon. :goodvibes

I want to crawl back in bed now too. My cat that has seizures has a 9am appt for a blood test. I need to have the test done to get more meds. Then I am working with my mother. She cleans a retired teachers home. MUST STAY AWAKE
