Typo? Darn! I was picturing you, which in my mind looks a bit like a thin Paula Deen, digging down deep in a jar of Dukes mayonnaise. Much more entertaining than a simple typo.

My daughter is with her boyfriend having her rat, Lucy, put down. She has cancer. Her tumor is huge, she is boney and looks awful. It is time. She is going to the horse vets house to have it done. She is friends with the horse vet's son and the woman said she would do it for her.

Poor little Lucy. Earlier she was curled up in a hand towel napping with my daughter on the couch. She was sleeping against my daughters chest. They looked so sweet. Rats really bond with their humans. I know it must sound strange to you guys. Rats are intelligent, clean and sweet little creatures. I never thought I would love a rat, but I do.

DD & I went to the Humane Society yesterday and saw two rats. They were white and kinda looked cute. It is always so hard to give the ok to put an animal down.

Yes, that feeling has left today. My DH is working all weekend, and right now I am just pooped. I entertained the notion of taking DS out today, but I lack ambition. I can't wait for the baby to be born so I can start the process of regaining my energy. I know it's a long haul, but at least it'll be a beginning!

Also just picked 9 super sized zuchinni. I'm talking @ 18-24 inches long. What the heck am I gonna do with all them??? It's funny one day you look, and there's nothing there, and you don't look for 2 days and then BAM.. they are monsters. I gotta make soemthing with them. Suggestions?

We're heading out to Lancaster this afternoon for a USA swim meet that my DD is in. She's hoping to qualify for the MA Junior Olympics in he 100 FLY. We'll see,,, It's raining now, and I think this is an outdoor pool. Hope it clears up, although the rain is welcome after the dry heatwave we've had over the past few weeks. We'll I'm supposed to be looking up Amish stuff that we can stop at while we're out there. We've got to leave in about 45 mins. catch you later.... hope everyone's have a good weekend.

You know there are a couple different ways to tackle the zucchini, one is to make bread or muffins, and another is a really simple way of baking them my Nana told me. Basically slice them on the diagonal, layer a pan, drizzle olive oil, salt, pepper, and parm. cheese. Bake in the oven...I think we did 350 for a bit and they're yummy.

...you could shred them and put them in freezer zip-lock bags and freeze them...
