TK, how was the playdate? I bet your little guy was excited to see his friends.

It was awesome, thank you for asking, but I was pooped after! :lmao: All that fresh air just did me in. We had dinner with my dad last night, too, so by the time I actually went to bed, I was so done.

TK, how was the picnic in the park?

Awesome! Thanks for asking. We really had a good time, and it was nice to watch my DS run around like the little boy that he is.

Full of energy. I don't know how he does it.

Morning, babnanas--I have a rough morning ahead of me. At 9am, I have an evaluation results meeting. I don't understand why a parent wants their child to be autistic, but this parent is going to be mad. I evaluated the little girl and it is evident she is not autistic.

Huh. What would be the push for wanting that evaluation, I wonder?

TK--I hope you had a great time!

Thanks!

Mean Queen, I fell asleep watching Lost, but have it recorded. I have not seen it much the last few years so I am well....lost. :lmao:

I watched the first two seasons and then dropped it (I thought it lost a lot of the keep-you-guessing storyline and just got way too violent). I'd love to know the big picture, though, now that it's ending. Does anyone know what that thing in the forest turned out to be??....when they first arrived on the island there was this very large "something" but you never knew what it was.:confused3

LegoMom, when do you think you will be heading to The Poly?

I'm hoping our next trip will be the week after Thanksgiving in 2011. The following spring my DH and I will celebrate our 20th anniversary, so it's officially for that (and why I'm going all out this time!). It's very hard for us to get away in the spring (due to work schedules), which is why we're going about 4 months early (I also really prefer the quieter crowds!). The more I think about this, though, as much as I love the Poly, it's the one option that puts us all in one room. With the cabins, there's a separate bedroom, and of course two rooms at a mod gives us two sleeping areas as well. DH snores, and the boys will be 15, 12 and almost-10 at that time (!!!). I'm thinking more room can only be better!!:rotfl:

....

I'm guessing that since they seem to think there's something wrong with her, that they're going for all the special services available to "special needs" students. Is your eval the bottom line for this school/district? You would hope they would respect the results!

Mornin' Babnanas!

The TR is officially started. Hope to post another chapter soon.

Busy day here.....Hope everyone's Tuesday is tiggerific!

Good morning, babnanas!

I'm excited for DS today. While I'm at work, my father is taking him to see the new Shrek film. Good bonding time for both of them.

We were having dinner at my Dad's last night, and he's still getting packages for my Mom, things that she ordered before she passed.

Last night, there were two from the Disney store, and he handed them to me saying they must be for you, meaning my family.

I opened them without anyone really being able to see what they were, and immediately knew that they were Christmas presents for my DS. She'd bought the Woody and Buzz PJ Pals in a size 8, so I could tell that was her intent. I'm going to set them aside and wrap them for him when Christmas comes and tell him they're from her. It's kind of nice that we can do things like that this year, maybe it will help a little. :goodvibes

...gonna be a
smileys14.gif
here today....AND tomorrow....

Kimmar, here as well.

We've had our central air cranking for quite a few days now. :lmao:

...I put our ceiling fans on - also, to help keep the house cool, I use my crock pot alot....

Me, too. Although, there's not a lot of cooking going on in my house right now. Losing my mom combined with the pregnancy gives me an overall lack of motivation for things that take too much time, like food preparation. That sounds awful, but lucky for me it's turning into barbecue season, so we can do a lot of burgers, hot dogs, fresh veg, etc. That makes it a bit easier. Plus, like you said, it is SO hot when we turn the oven on, I can't stand it.

On a related note, we tossed around the idea of the next trip over the weekend; the Poly wins hands-down!...of course it's the most expensive of the options I had laid out (Poly, FW Cabin, or 2 rooms at POFQ), but it is, after all, my dream resort.

Ahhhh...the Poly...sigh...:cloud9:

I heart you. And your MommaBear. You are just such good people. I know you know I know that but it's worth "saying" aloud. Again.

:flower3:

Aw, thank you.

I won't even get into how the front hall closet in my parent's house is full of clothes for the baby. Apparently she and Nana went a little crazy and bought things for the luncheon that didn't take place, and covered all the holidays through Christmas. Ambitious women in my family, that's for sure. I haven't looked in that closet yet.

OMG this brought tears to my eyes.

I really need to catch up on lost.

Although it would be great to stay at the Poly, I can certainly see wanting more room. I'd love to stay in the cabins. Full kitchen would come in handy. I'd have breakfast items. Cheaper and quicker in the mornings. 1 person could be showering, 1 dressing, and a few eating all at the same time.

 I joined a little late.. I didn't realize you lost your mom so recently. I'm sorry you have to go through that, especially while you're expecting. You know she's your angel though.
It's Tuesday, and I decided to play hookey from work today. I'm catching up on stuff at home, and enjoying the warm sunshine.. :goodvibes I have a lot of catching up to do, but I'm not making much progress now am I? Well, I have a zillion errands to run before the kids come home from school, but I'm checking in while the little guy is napping... no one wants to drag a cranky kid around because they missed thier nap. My goal is to have my garden planted before I go to bed tonight. The dog dug up flowers I planted last night. I think I go backwards... anyone else feel like that?

The new cria at Bent Pine Alpacas. His name is Adams. The gentleman who owns the farm names the crias after the counties in PA. This guy is the 11th male in a row. We were really hoping for a female.

What a cutie. Wow, 11 males in a row.

Adorable! But, with all these males and wanting a female, I'm thinkin' maybe time for a new sire (y'know, since the current one keeps throwin' "Y"s....:rolleyes1).

Is NOTHING sacred anymore???!!!!

Official from Disney: Cinderella's Golden Carousel will have its name changed to Prince Charming's Regal Carousel as of June 1.:headache:

One person commented on Facebook that this must be Disney's lame attempt to try to draw boys into the over-princessed new Fantasyland. I mean, it doesn't affect me either way because my boys are outgrowing the real little-kid stuff anyway, but come ON people!

Ugh. Just ugh.
