The WEDway is, well.....still the WEDway. I certainly prefer the old spiel, but the new one didn't crush me. While they don't specifically use the term WEDway, they do refer to it as a "PeopleMover" at one point! And I won't give anything away, but towards the end, when you're going over the Monster's Inc. entryway, listen up.....TOO funny.

Is Tom Morrow really...gulp...gone?

YUM... that looks good.. Just the way I like it. Extra crispy!

Hey, we did a tour about 14 years ago, but it wasn't the KTTK, But we did go behind the scenes in Epcot / MGM & MK, before AK opened we went underground and had lunch in Mama Melrose, and the best part was painting a cell of Mickey and drawing with the animators. We saw the parade floats, the tanks at the living seas, the place where they paint the garbage cans, etc. I don't remember the name of that tour, or if they still run it. It did take all day, but worth every penny. My DD can't wait to turn 16 so she can go on one of those tours. She keeps telling me thats what she wants for her bday.
In addition to that tour DH and I have done a fishing excursion, and the Land Tour. I've never been disappointed taking time out of my trip for a tour. I'd like to do the segway tour, but my kids are too little yet, so we'll have to wait until they are older, or when I go without them.

On our fishing excursion, we met out guide at the boardwalk, and he took us out somewhere behind DHS, and The beach Club... and I remember I caught the biggest fish of the day.. (of course)... and DH still talks about it.. because he says only in Disney can you catch a bass on a hot dog. (that's what the guide gave me for bait). better than worms. And I hate fishing normally, I only went so I could go to Disney... He said I can go to disney if he could go fishing.

What's your favorite behind the scenes tour??

...Sorry again about the TR...I'm in the midst of MAJOR computer problems here. As in my main computer has a worm (no wisecracks, kimmar.....

...WHA-:confused3?????

Yes. :headache: Unless you go with my family, we say it just for old time sake. Otherwise, I wasn't upset about the change. I actually liked including the "people mover" line since that's what I still call it.

....I do too....however, I'm REALLY gonna miss that voice - it's not a true WDW vacay without a ride on the 'Wedway People-Mover' and that voice...when was it changed?

daisyyy, fishing excursion would be fun. My son would LOVE it. He lives to fish. Unfortunately, I don't see the cost in our budget. I'll put that on the 'maybe someday' list.

This is the soon to be momma kitty DD & I are taking care of for the Humane Society. Her name is Tara. I'm thinking of naming the kitties after the Shrek movies when they are born.

That's great you are fostering. I used to foster too. I took mostly motherless abandoned kittens too young to adopt. Had to feed some out of a medicine dropping. A lot of work without the mother. You will have to let us know all about them when they arrive.

PaMom - she's beautiful!! Great of you to foster her. Keep us posted on the kitten arrival!:lovestruc

Mornin' everyone! We're off this morning for a weekend get-away. DH really, really needs the break away from here. He likes his job but they are SOOO busy right now. DS8 has his last soccer game this morning and then we'll leave from there. I need to go top off the food and water for the animals and hide a few stashes of food for the dog (she loves to bury food and dig it up later!). Plus I got her this ginormous smoked bone that'll take her the weekend to finish!!

Hope y'all have a fantastic weekend! I should have Wi-Fi where we're going so I'll try to get that TR started!!:flower3:

.

Good morning babnanas. The birds are singing. We have a little spring shower falling. The kids are being cordial to each other.

And my ticker says days not weeks!

Isn't it pleasant when the kids get along? So much more peaceful that way.

I'm excited for you.

Ugh. Bad, bad, bad week. Thursday night we had a ball game. one of the parents of the other side started yelling at our coach. SOmething to the effect of, "Look it up in your rule book!"

I, being the stupid person I am, said, "Ya'll choose the rules that suit you."

To which she replies, "Shut up."

Her husband thinks I said shut up and proceeds to shove me.

To which my husband too offense.

I apologized to her for my terrible behavior. I have heard nothing from her.

Here's the kicker: her husband is a preacher.

Oh Kimmar. :sad2: Funny and sad all at the same time.

We saw the new Shrek movie today. I loved it. I think my favorite of this movie was Puss 'N Bows. :rotfl2:

Amanda - I always heard the PK's (preachers kids) were trouble makers, but didn't realize the PW's were too. Sports can make people very heated, especially when their child is involved. Glad you were able to realize your misbehavior and apologize for it.

My husband was brining my kids home from the store this week and my oldest was discussing her recent lesson in science--the different living kindoms. She goes, "There's the Fungi Kingdom, the Plant Kingdom, and the Animal Kingdom. . ."

It was at that point my youngest piped up and interjected very seriously with, "Don't forget the Magic Kingdom." :rotfl2:

DH comes home and says, "What are you teaching your kids?"

Oh, and we go to Disney this week!

Dan was just telling the kids this morning that they were going to order calamari at Tuttp Italia. I think I may have brought him around to the Disney side.

I hope to see that movie. If we run out of things to do and need a down night, we may see it while we are at Disney.

I've always heard the whole preacher kids thing as well. I should have kept my mouth closed, and maybe none of that would have happened. This preacher and his wife to happen to be directors of the recreation department. The first mistake was at the beginning of the season, they split our boys into two teams inappropriately. From then on there have been bad feelings. When both teams played on Thursday night, it probably would have been best that the rec director do his job and not let the other teams fans sit in the same section as ours. Of course, since his sons were on the other team, he wouldn't do that.

I'm still angry. I apologized because my reaction was wrong. But my reasoning is not wrong. And my Daddy would never stood for it if a man shoved me and my husband did not intervene.

Ladies, I'm going to post replies in sections because I have four pages to catch up on and my pregnancy brain can only remember so much! :lmao:

I heart that penguin. LOL!

He was a riot. :rotfl2:

Can't take you two anywhere!!.....HONESTLY!

:lmao::rotfl2:

.

Sadly, it's true. 'Neath the pure Disney loving exterior lurk the hearts of two absolute pervs.

But honestly, as soon as it's uploaded, I'll send you the photo. Heck, I'll even post it here if you guys want me to. Then you'll know.

I'd love to see this sweet little puppy. I know all about puppies that eat everything. 1 of mine was obsessed with wet washcloths. Things got better with time.

We had one that used to go into the bathroom and shred the Kleenex. We started having to hide it from her, she was so stinkin' cute as she did it too.

OMG. It's hysTERical. This little guy was just...well, he was making the most of his habitat.

Is that what they're calling it now?

...ohhhh, soooooo - you're drinkin' yer rum STRAIGHT UP these days....:thumbsup2

AYE! pirate:

Mean Queen, thanks for your mini trip reports! That 5 course meal at Blue Zoo sounds divine! And I've actually never had much of an interest in the KTTK tour until reading how you described it, it really sounds like fun. :thumbsup2 Maybe something I'd even consider doing by myself the next time I go.

YUM!!!! Love me some fried chicken! Other people's chickens....ones that I haven't gotten to know personally......:rotfl2:

.

Right now, all I can think of is Tink and how her meat comes from "a happy place." ;)

To be honest, I found the Spaceship Earth "overhaul" to be MUCH more devastating.....HATE the new narration on that ride.

That still bothers me. I love Jeremy Irons.

What's your favorite behind the scenes tour??

You know what, now that I think about it, when I was about 12/13 years old, and they still had the animators working behind the scenes at MGM, I did take an animation tour that was specifically for kids, and it was awesome.

I got to see story boards for the Lion King before the movie had even been officially announced, and some of the offices where they worked, and we got to do our own Mickey cel as well. So much fun. :thumbsup2

From the theme parks board, yes he is :sad2: That was my favorite part. :sad1:

Me, too!

YAY! A LegoMom trip report!

Here's the kicker: her husband is a preacher.

Contradiction in occupation and outward behavior, huh? People get so heated over kids sports, something I'm not looking forward to as my sons get older.

My husband was brining my kids home from the store this week and my oldest was discussing her recent lesson in science--the different living kindoms. She goes, "There's the Fungi Kingdom, the Plant Kingdom, and the Animal Kingdom. . ."

Brainwash 'em while they're young, I always say! :lmao:
