Sadiedog--I wish I was there to give Dega hugs. I am a dog lover. I have a cat, but he is nowhere near to me what Charlie is (and Copper was--who, btw, was stolen from my yard).

They are such trusting, and loving souls. I have always been a dog person. I think of Dega and I just want to take care of her, too.

Legomom--I am sooooo happy for you. You will love staying at POFQ, as I did. Congrats, and I wish I could be there!

We spent 1 1/2 hours this morning caring for Dega. The fluid sac is smaller and looking better. The hot compresses and wrapping seem to be helping. Hope it continues to heal.

Ok y'all, it's True Confessions time....I just did something very uncharacteristic for me, the penny-watcher (NOpennywise).....





I upgraded to POFQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!





I am SOOOO stinkin' excited I can hardly contain myself!! For some reason this small change has increased the giddy factor to the Nth degree.....

Because POFQ is beautiful, amazing... and has beignets. (in the creepy clown food court)

We still aren't sure if we are going now on Memorial Day weekend. Our friends who booked the room may do the cruise with us in August, which means they'd need to get their points back to help them pay for their cruise. I'm torn because I really want to stay in the BLT Grand Villa, but I also really want them to come on the surprise cruise with us.

Right now we are doing everything we can to make sure that my mother is comfortable and at peace. From what I know from the nurses, she's not suffering and she's not in any pain. However small, that is a blessing.
