I just don't get curling. Just had to say that. It's like shuffleboard on ice with a bunch of people making sure the ice is really clean.

I also love the Flower & Garden Festival. We make sure to check it out each year. The girls love Minnie's Butterfly Garden. They also have a lot of play areas for the kids.

Ok. I will. I think it's just either a prerequisite for people who want to grow old and play shuffleboard or it's shuffleboard for people who can't cruise. I just can't figure out how it has a big enough audience to justify being in the Olympics while the women's long jump is kept out for lack of an audience. But of course, the men's long jump is in.

I think I'm watching too much Olympics if I'm getting all upset about it.

Hello everyone.

I am exhausted on top of this sinus and ear infection. I worked 7am-5pm today at daycare. LONG day when you feel crappy. Heck, long day even if I felt good. It was school vacation week.

I think I will go watch House and Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares in bed. I don't know how much of it I will actually see before I fall asleep.

So y'all know I'm taking a solo trip soon. I don't talk too much about it around here at home, because the kids aren't going and it would just be pretty rotten to be rubbing it in! Well, earlier today DH and I were discussing dates while looking at the calendar....we went over the dates next weekend that I'll be visiting my dad, then I confirmed for him the dates of my solo trip, spoken of simply as my "other trip." DS13 was within ear shot, and he asks "What other trip?"....I hesitated before answering him, not knowing exactly how I wanted to answer him. He persisted so finally I just said "I'm taking a Mom's-mental-health get-away weekend," to which he immediately replied "I wanna go to Disney!!"

I am so transparent....(not that that's news!)

LOL! I had to change the name of my "girls weekend" to Disney to "The Mommies getaway from the kids weekend" because my DD10 informed me she was a girl so she should be able to go too. This year we're doing the "getaway" in May when my friend graduates nursing school. Cause where else do you celebrate important events other than Disney?

Oh, and Legomom, you see your trip dates just miss mine. UGH! Oh, well.

A little update on mine, since I truly have abandoned my PTR--we have had at least two sets of friends try to plan their trips the same time as ours. They wanted me to "show them the ropes". This week, I had to tell one lady that I would not have enough time on my family's trip to play tour guide. I hated to do it, but this is the first ever time my family has gone without another family, and although I admit I can't prevent others from going to DisneyWorld the same time as us, I will not be playing tour guide to another family this time. I think I upset her--she really wanted my help watching her children because her husband "does nothing and is clueless". I think if she thought about what she was asking me, she would realiza she did not want to do that.
