Have you had another busy day? What did you decide to do with your Dept. 56?

They are on the bay window with a sofa table against the window. The sofa table consists mostly of the stream pieces and campsite. I thought I had 5 houses, but I have 4. The 5th is part of an accessory that does not light up. The cats like to try to sit in the middle of it and of course knock things over. That's the nature of having animals. Nothing is perfect and that's ok.

That's pretty much the reason my village is under my big tree. To keep the dogs out.

My daughter sure misses Lucy the Rat. I try to remember to take her out every day b/c I can't stand the thought of an animal living in a cage all the time. She was just climbing around on the dog crates. Rats enjoy climbing.

You should see how excited Lucy gets when my daughter comes home. She hops around and they wrestle/play like you would with a dog. FUNNY sight. Quite unique.
